Started with Mayonnaise Salad.- The salad was sweet and savour was good. 
 
Kung Pao Chicken - This chinese style salad was good with peppers. 
 
Thalasserry Chicken Fry - A dry chicken fry with the authentic malabar flavours 
 
Ari Rotti Special beef Fry - Dip into your Indian food desired with this special beef fry. perfect as a main course, this dish will dazzle your taste buds. 
 
Chicken North Fry - Small boneless chicken pieces coated and fried perfect as a snack and tasted very good. 
 
Ari O Rotti - rice Pathiri very good. 
Thanga Pathil - Coconut pathil was good too 
Ney Pathil- This is my favourite and was very good. 
 
Thallassery  Beef Biryani - The Beef Biryani was very good with Authentic Malabar Spices made by a special chef was flown down especially for the Biryani preps. 
 
Desserts 
Special bread pudding - This desserts was very deleicous. Loved it 
Both the below Ice Creams were home made and creamy .Tasted too good.

The Chef Mr. Ashraf, Manager Mr. Sateesh and the host Mr. Arun were very attentive and provided good service.

Its Situated in the Madina Mall Qusais.. Near to the Police Headquarter...

They have Specious inside and Out.. Can give a big party with almost a wide range of people..

Its the place which Cheapest rate with Quality food..

We had an iftaar with our family here at Madina mall: the snacks were appetizing and everyone seemed to like them; specially the erachi pathil and the bread pocket. These were followed by a buffet , serving some of the exquisite dishes of thalassery. The neipathil, neichor and beef masala was extremely good. However, some dishes tasted bland and wasn't up to the mark.
Overall, it was a well-prepared Iftaar. :)

Happened to try Sadhya at my friends place for the festival Vishu home delivered from Ari O Rotti. For the people who don’t know what’s Sadya, it’s a feast consisting of a variety of traditional veg dishes served on a banana leaf. The food was great, loved each dish including the payasam & the service was good too 👍

Order fish curry meals and puthippila pothi..delivery was very fast and puthippila pothi was something very different with excellent authentic malabar taste .. fish curry meals was also excellent... cheap and best .. definitely a must try

Good hospitality and their Saturday’s non veg sadhya is my favorite! When you are tired shopping in Carrefour at Madina Mall, they can serve you some good Malli food!

I am wondering why I haven't told you guys about the Ginger Fiery at Ari Orotti which is one of my favorite thirst quenchers. Truly this gives so much relief in this scorching August sun. Try it, they are located at Madina Mall in Muhaisnah and in Ajman too. Moreover, they have had very bad reviews in the past. However they have upgraded the menu and brought in too many new choices. Yes they learnt from their fall and they are improving.

Ambiance is too good. Location is very accessible.parking is available nearby. Seating capacity is more than 30.staffs are friendly. Services are good.i had arioroti special roti and arioroti special fish curry. It was nice.porota also good.prices are compatible with other restaurants. Recommended one.

We ordered raw mango salad and erkelli chicken , the chicken was like satay but highly well marinated and down well , raw mango salad was mouth watering and spicy, for main corse we ordered arioroti , thenkapathal and kerala porotta with beef in mud pot and chicken kunpaw--which was sweet we had one kulukki sarbhath butbwas not upto mark

Its was a real Thalassery taste.. must try neypathal With Ariorotti chicken roast and ginger fire drink.. Finally mouthwatering homemade icecream.... No words

Good place food does not contain any artificial colours and ajinomoto.very nice decor and ambience chicken north fry is one of the best starters so try that one.

Since it is in the Al Madinah Mall, parking was not a problem. We reached at 2 pm, the restaurant was not very crowded,  was very clean with a good ambiance. We were warmly greeted, seated,  initial service was very courteous, we were served with a welcome drink, menu card was pretty impressive with a wide variety. We ordered Kerala & wheat Porottas, Chicken Chatti curry, Prawns Mango curry & beef coconut fry. Service was prompt, the portions were very generous & the food was very tasty. After all this, the check was only Rs 91 which I thought was great value for money. The only criticism I had was that after the food was served, we had nobody coming to our table to inquire if we wanted anything else. We had them serving us & the next we saw them was when we asked for the check. Overall though,  we had a good experience

For those who love spicy food, I have tried their Devil chicken. As its name suggests, your spicy cravings will really be fully satisfied. Tender chicken meat is topped with a lot of chilli seeds, really awesome!
I also recommend their Elaneer Ice cream. For goodness' sake, it's the best homemade ice cream I have ever tasted in Dubai! It's actually made of tender coconut mixed with some secret ingredients that they only know.

Let me just begin by saying that Ari O'Rotti (cool name) is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Dubai.  The main reason for this is the fact that my Mom is an awesome cook and the simple logic was- why go to a restaurant that often when you have a chef at home?
Anyway, back to the topic. Ari O'Rotti has been my favorite restaurant for a couple months now. And let me tell you, they never break your heart. Believe me when I tell you, a lot of the restaurants I've been to get too confident after getting so many good reviews and customers, that they actually start to pay zero attention to the quality of food. This is so not the case with Ari O Rotti.
There are awesome chefs to fill your stomach and your heart and they have great servers who are humble and patient with people like me who have waaaay too many specifications. I still do not know whether Ari O'Rotti is cheap enough because I feel that every penny is worth spending for such amazing food.
The best place to understand and appreciate the great Kerala cuisine with the best of the best chicken.  Take notes future chefs, this is how chicken should be cooked.
P.s. Don't forget to try the Tender Coconut Icecream!!!!

I've been to ariorotti many times over the past 2 years and loved it. The traditional thalassery dishes and the lovely ambience are it's highlights. They also have their own ice creams which is a must try. Seethaphal and tender coconut are my favourites.

Ariorotti is definitely the most authentic Thalassery restaurant in UAE. They have specialities like puzhungala roti and stuffed aduka roti which you wouldnt find anywhere else. Also their aatinthala stew is delicious and recommended to all.

The South Indian state of Kerala is famous for her unconditional love for spices and meat (fish and Red meat).
The Malabar Mappila (Thalasserian to be precise) cuisine that is dished out from North Kerala serves a gourmet that has some world renown names. Erachipathil (Mappila Samosa), Dum Biryani et al are some some of the delicacies that showcase rich Indo-Arab influence cuisine of North Kerala.

Ari O Rotti (AoR) is restaurant that takes pride in being a part of this unique gourmet and the fact that the main team behind this restaurant are folks from this region makes it worth a visit.

FOOD: RATING 4.5 OUT OF 5.

As I said earlier, AoR takes pride in its Malabar Mappila fare, hence I keep my review to that.

DISCLAIMER : The Malabar Mapilla dish is all about meat. So my fellow mortal who dines with the serving of greens and veggies. Please feel to order anything from the Dessert section and leave the rest alone.

Starters, Soup and Salad: The legend of Thalassery says there is nothing called a starter or a soup for a good hearty meal. Hence, the Thalasserian in me has skipped this part. For the neutral, I suggest the AoR Porichathu, the rest of the items in this list is the usual fare with a new name.

Item 2 – Chicken Dishes (Nadan): Most of the dishes are the usual fare with a Thalassery touch in either their name or taste.
Mind you! That does not mean it is a dull fare! There are a few unique fares, my pick of the lot are as follows

• Chicken Mulakkitath : Mulakkitath literally means “Put in a Chilli”. Here the chilli is Red Chilli Powder, hence it is a Red curry with a spice factor!

• Chicken Chatty Curry : Chatty means “Clay pot”. I presume it is cooked in a clay pot as it is presented in one. The taste is good.

• Kozhi Nirachathu: Meaning “Stuffed Chicken”. This is the Malabar take on how to stuff a chicken. I must say it stuffs your appetite as well.

Item 3 – Beef (Nadan): Beef is the staple food of Kerala and we the Malabar love our beef with great pride. Just like the chicken there is a few usual suspects but the pick of the lot are as follows

• Beef Ishtu – Beef Stew. Loved the colour and pepper (or is it chilli)

• Beef Uruli varathiyathu – Don’t ask what it means, all I can say it is Malabar’s take on slow cooked beef with some lovely spices.

Item 4 – Mutton (Nadan): No Doubts here. MUTTON BRAIN FRY!!!

Item 5 – Seafood : The whole fare is worth a good feast. I suggest you pick the Prawns and King fish delicacies. Don’t forget the Kalumakaya (Mussels) Masala. If you want to prove you are a true Thalasserian, then help yourself with a good serving of Kalumakaya Masala.

Item 6 – Rice Items : DUM BIRYANI!! The Beef biryani (weekends only) is a must! Make sure you ask for the Thalassery style biryani.

Item 7 – Ari O Rotti Specialities: OH boy! This is the game changer. The Taste bud tickler and also a tongue twister (both by the names of the item and the uniqueness of the ingredients). All the items in this list is a good fare but then the best is as follows

• Erachi Chor: Meat Rice. The Thalasserian’s take on comfort food that rivals the biryani

• Kakka Roti: Gravy Roti. Mini Circular steamed Rice cakes mixed in a wonderfully prepared meat masala.

• Puzhungal Rotti : Who cares what it means! A Rice “Calzone” stuffed with Fish gravy. Damn! I miss home!

• Aatin Thala Masala/Stew : For the braveheart. Goat’s Head Masala/Stew. You will have to go “head on” for this dish.

Item 8 – Snacks: Just ask for a Thalassery snack and you will a happy soul.

Item 9 - Desserts: They do their own ice cream! It is nice! Ask for the Tender Coconut (illaneer) Ice Cream. The other flavours are also good.

SERVICE – 2 OUT OF 5

The service is slow not matter how many people you have in the restaurant but the food is worth the wait. 
The service staff is friendly and courteous. The rating is mainly for the service staff’s good understanding of the menu and attitude. The time factor brings down the rating.
Many may argue that good food takes time but then i say Good Food take time not eternity.

LOCATION – 3.5 OUT 5

It is in the Madina Mall hence. It is near to Nahda and Sharjah. Getting there is easy. If you are coming from New Dubai area, just take the Al Khail Road, it leads straight to Madina Mall. If you are in Old Dubai, I am sure you know where Madina Mall is or atleast where Dunes Hotel Apartment is!

The parking wont be an issue but then the fact that you have to go all through a mall just for a meal is a bit “tiring” when hunger is high!

PRICING: 5 means very cheap while 1 means Bring on the Bank!

I RATE THIS PLACE 3.5 (Pocket-Friendly)

For a place that dishes out pretty decent food and also a good serving size, the pricing is quiet affordable.

One might say there is some pricey dishes but then these dishes are not served in any other places and they are unique. Rarity comes with a price.

AMBIANCE: 3 OUT 5
AoR is not a Fine Dining Place. It is located in the food court of Madina Mall but it is a proper restaurant. Since it is in a mall, the place can be noisy as hell or pin drop silent depending on your time of visit. It is more of a cool “out in the open mall” feel rather than a “cozy warm” restaurant feel.

DECOR AND SEATING CAPACITY – 3.5 OUT 5

They have decent seating capacity and the décor is pretty nice. You can have a good “big” family long table meal.

OVERALL RATING: 3.5 OUT OF 5.

Ari O Rotti stays true to their intention of dishing out a hearty Malabar Mappila dish. Their super dishes are all Thalassery / Malabar inspired dishes hence their food rating is high.

They do serve other cuisines as well which are good (North Indian) but let us keepit away when we are in AoR.

The fact that is more of a “Half Restaurant – Half Open Hall” place and that it is situated in a Mall drops the rating in terms of Ambiance and Location. The Serving time kills the rating and can kill your appetite and patience.

But all in all,if you are a South Indian food lover. Ari O Rotti is a must visit and also one of them Craving Busters for good Malabar food.

The best part about Ariorotti is the variety in their breads - ariorotti, thenga pathil, mutta sirka and kannapam in addition to the usual porotta and chapathi. Thalassery delicacies like puzhungala roti and stuffed adukaroti are a must try!!

Kulukkisarvath and Ilaneer Pudding.

I am impressed with Ariorotti every time I visit.
