Turned out to be chicken as this was an online order so details of ingredients were missing but the richness of flavours & consistency of the dish were absolutely satisfying 😋 plus we got the combo meal so it came with 2 soft and yummy naans too! The Malaai Boti biryani didn't disappoint as well & with balanced spice levels & creamy chicken. Portions could be a bit more generous for the prices charged for the Haleem specifically, but we're not complaining as we got 20% off on ordering online 😉 Delivery was timely, dropped over by a friendly rider. Can't wait to try more items on the menu & would absolutely recommend!

(التعليق الأصلي) There was a time when Dum Pukht in JLT used to serve breakfast and we would end up there almost every other weekend. However, they no longer serve the breakfast. Recently got a chance to visit the restaurant again. They have revamped the whole restaurant with nice interiors and buffet setup. They have also made seating arrangements outside. They also serve Chinese items now which i have not tried yet. Their "Paaye" are top notch. Their Pakistani food items are good. Services can speed up a little. I really hope they bring their breakfast back. Over all a good eatery for Pakistani food.

I have order today halwa puri and Haleem naan at JLT dumpukht. Very bad experience puri was the same as paratha. Haleem was stale (Basi) with a bad smell. I have called the restaurant to complain and exchange they said we are waiting for management to make a decision. Then it was replaced with chicken dish the taste was good. I think so chef must taste before giving food for packing and delivery.

I had very high expectations as the menu was very interesting. However to my disappointment, the mutton handi wasn’t as tasty although the quantity was good. The Naan was really soft and still warm when delivered. Biggest let down was the bihari boti which I was looking forward to, although it was tender but one of the ground spices was over used and that was the only thing that you could taste which overshadowed the whole flavour of the the grilled item.

I ordered here for the first time and their food is actually quite good except that they put pickled whatever in their plain rice which made it taste awful (atleast for me) I liked their Keema Naan though, super flavorful and their Daal! A Must try!

Visited Dum Pukht in JLT which seems very busy place with lot of takeaway and delivery orders.<br/><br/>We ordered the mix Platter. The Mutton kababs was excellent in taste but Chicken was hard.<br/><br/>Also ordered their Mutton Biryani which was very tasty and nicely done with right kind of spices.<br/><br/>The Lassi was served in a small Copper Handi and very thick with pieces of Pistachio. Excellent taste and very nice. If you visit this place dont forget the Lassi.<br/>

Ok so i ordered Haleem and mutton Biryani and the food was extremely spicy! We like and do eat spicy food but no human on earth could eat the food they delivered. We wasted all the food because seriously it was so tastless. ! Terrible experience

I have ordered mutton biryani combo that comes with kebab, and a drink but received only the mutton biryani without the kebab, drinks and without a spoon too! Very unfortunate that the biryani is good but the service is very bad. Would only suggest ordering on the spot and not through any applications, because they have a hard time following up with the order

I love spicy food ! And what is better than having Pakistani cuisine to satisfy your taste buds ! <br/>So we tried peshwari chicken (Rich in flavours spicy but mild ) , tandoori roti , paratha (very soft had such paratha after so long it reminded me of my home ) Boti chicken biriyani and Raita ( It was best amongst all chicken boti was so moist that it just melted in mouth ) amazing flavours ! With proper hygiene ! I just loved the food !

Amazing value for money. You get 20% off when ordering directly off the restaurants site. Every item in the grilled platter was succulent and delicious.

I order from From then quite often. Last couple of orders have been absolutely pathetic. I ordered Mutton biriyani both times and The quality of the food on both occasions was not any less than pathetic. Not sure whether it is a cost saving tactic but one thing is for sure that yesterday’s order was my last with them. Biriyani was tasteless, flavourless, mutton pieces were under cooked. Disappointed!!

We had visited this branch of Dum pukht few weeks back for a lunch on a weekend. <br/><br/>Small restaurant with minimum seating facility inside the restaurant but they hav a lovely & calm outside seating too. We had tried few of their signature dishes here & had loved the authentic taste.<br/><br/>Try out their Mutton Seekh kebabs, its really worth.

Terrible customer service very late delivery they never pick up the phone. They use their own delivery guy which makes deliveries 1 hour late. Don’t order from here there are 12,653 places where you can get biryani.

Ordered dinner from Dum Pukht and liked it. I ordered palak paneer and naan which is usually my favorite. The taste is good and quantity served is also great!! Naan is little different from the usual ones, but nice and fluffy. <br/>Follow VeggieDubai for more reviews and experiences.!!

The chicken was well marinated and tender , the rice was well cooked too . the biriyani was good except it is a little dry and this factor could be improved.

Ordered for delivery to my office address  , 2 simple dishes - that consisted of Dal + Rice combo and a Chicken Malai kebab . <br/>They take approx 1 + hour to deliver the food despite being 500 m away  , also the Chicken was soft but very stale and giving out  a  very pungent odor due to which we could not have any more and had to discard   . <br/>The Dal was just ok ( below average ) and lacked any flavor as such . Seems like this restaurant is loosing their old reputation of offering tasty  food at reasonable prices around JLT , need to seriously look into their day to day operations if they want to maintain customer interest . Would not be ordering again in the near future ..

I ordered a mutton biryani and chicken biryani combo for me and my friend. The rice was very ticky and it tasted nothing like biryani. The shami kebab was raw and tasteless too. Also, the quantity of raita was very little compared to the quantity of rice. There were huge chunks of potato in the biryani.<br/>The restaurant should seriously think about improving the taste of there food. Overall experience was very upsetting.

Ordered food from this branch. Tasteless food. couldn't eat anything. The murgh chana and daal massh were tasteless. Just boiled and added. Tawa roti was like papar. Shami kabab were raw. Very bad experience. We've been eating and enjoying karama branch food which is really nice. This JLT branch was a disappointment.

We ordered Nihari and Lahori Chicken Karahi. Nihari looked old reheated. Karahi was worst I had in anywhere in Dubai. It was tomato paste thrown on some fried chicken. I wondered if cook himself ever had a real karahi

Great tasting food that is reasonably priced. A must every weekend! Must try are the biryanis, tawa keema, chapli kabab with roghni naan. A bit more variety to the desserts would be great.

This was my 3rd order to this restaurant. 2 orders I did from karama branch n yesterday from JLT branch. Food is gr8. Price r reasonable n delivery is fast. We order Haleem Nihari mix platters partaaa for party in montgomri address hotel in Emirates Hill. Food came fast n every buddy love it. I have ordered Chicken Haleem many times from them in JLT and I must admit it was quite tasty. Assuming the same level quality they will have in other items also, had ordered chicken biryani. It was my worst experience ever . To deliver 6 Naans and 2 Haleems within JLT it took them 1 hour 30 mins and i recieved this food 25 mins after iftar . There was noone to answer calls either on landlines ot on mobile . I have been a regular customer for many years of dum pukth but the service of this restaurant is getting bad to worse . I am truly disappointed and you have a lost customer for sure.

Ordered chicken biryani, chicken haleem and nihari. It is my nth time ordering and as always the flavours were on point. Autheintic Pakistani food with no excessive oil like they serve in other places. Defintiely recommend.

Ordered from here last weekend and had high expectations considering the Zomato rating but was extremely disappointed. The worst Biryani I have eaten so far in dubai and it was so bad that it gave me a stomach infection right after! The chicken biryani was sweet! The mutton biryani was chewy and not cooked well and the chicken Lahori was tangy.. I hope the team gets better at their food soon!

Home delivery: Ordered a chicken bihari boti (2/5) and nihari combo (2.5/5) along with a garlic naan (2/5) The chicken bihari boti was OK but below expectation as the flavours just did not seem to be there plus usually bbq food comes with chatni or some sort of sauce but not in this case. The nihari was OK as well but we did not find the garnishing bits such as the lemon, ginger and green chillies which made the nihari average.<br/><br/>Overall experience was not great and below expectation.

This is my second time ordering buttered chicken and still they never failed to impress me. Great taste and the naan is one of the best I've tried.

Ordered Daal Chawal combo through zomato. <br/><br/>Food came on time and was still warm. <br/><br/>Really liked the daal it was thick not runny like some places. Rice were nice. Mango pickle was yum! Overall liked the deal in reasonable price.

Worst delivery experience. Waiting for more than 1 hour 15 mins for a delivery from JLT to Marina. The food is on its way for more than 50 mins.

Hi! We love eating biryani so ordered this. Especially called the restaurant & zomato to give instructions how we like it. It had no taste. Really worst biryani ever, no flavour. Waste of money. Paratha was told to me made in wheat , no instructions followed. Won’t order again

Ordered chicken biriyani. The biriyani tasted bland, the potato and chicken in it too were tasteless. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are far better options available.

Food quality and taste was OK. BUT delivery of our lunch was half hour late - total of 1.5 hours - and since then we had ordered again for dinner and the second delivery was 45 mins (!) late - 1 hour 45 mins total for that second order.<br/><br/>Boxes were not labeled even though different dishes were ordered. Because they all looked identical, to be able to figure out  and we had to start going through each other's food, messing the contents up to be able see which one was chicken or mutton, etc.. <br/><br/>The bill I received was issued and delivered to me was for Indian Rupees instead of AED.  When I reported this to Zomato, I was asked for my email address (like they don't have it already in the system?) and I was told they would send a corrected receipt that actually reflects the amount of money I had paid in AED - that has not been received since.<br/><br/>Unprofessional service altogether and it is clear that this restaurant has serious operational issues.

Had a good experience at this joint. Unlike its main Karama branch, it is not heavily decorated. Mostly run on orders but can accommodate 6 to 8 people in its small setup.<br/><br/>Ordered biryani and it was good. I'm a potato person so the addition of potatoes made me overwhelmed. I had ordered rajma and chana dal. Both were very oily, oil was floating as you can see in picture. I had even mentioned in instructions to use less oil. Taste was ok ok.<br/>Other food items might be good.

Dum pukht served authentic Pakistani naan,s and pratha,s which is very soft and delightful every bite of stuffed aloo naan takes me back in lahore where I use to have oftenly these kind of naan,s..and want to add one more thing about their drinks had ordered mango vanilla shake every sip of shake was thick and tasteful.appreciated dum pukht team made my food yummmm😍

Ordered a veg biryani (serves 2) for dinner, the order was on time, packaging was good, disposables were not provided, the biryani was not hot enough.<br/>The quantity of biryani was definitely not enough for 2 individuals like me but it was ample and looks delicious, the moment I tasted it i can feel some lack of flavors and as i dig further the lack of vegetables in the mix was clear as an ice.<br/>Overall the place can buckle up on the mix of spice to perform better.

Ordered on 2 separate occasions and the food arrived cold on both occasions. The 2nd time I even wrote a note when I made the order to request food was warm unlike my previous order. Sadly that was ignored. I would not recommend this place.

My boyfriend always came here to eat after work... and today because im off he really want me to try this pakistani restaurant in JLT. And im not disappointed.. they really have a good taste pakistani foods with an asian dishes as well. The service is good... and the food is really good for visit.

The delivery was on time. Roghni naan was good. The curries could use some improvement especially by giving option to have it in boneless as well.

Ordered Haleem, Nihari, Bhindi, Mix Grill, Garlic Naan, simple Naan and Kulfi. Not a single dish disappointed at a very good price. Loved their Bhindies. Perfectly cooked.  we will be often visiting this palce now. Highly recommended.

One of the Best biriyani in dubai , i have order chicken Tikka and chiken kabab biriyani . Both Biryani was excellent .well cooked chicken tikkan and kebab.

This is my default go to joint for desi food - especially the Biryani, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Nihari, Keema and everything else on the Menu 😊! Food is lipsmacking good and is best had at the restaurant - nevermind the ambience, just focus all your senses on the food in front of you and you'll have no regrets.

We ordered one chicken biriyani (single) and one mutton biriyani (single) for home delivery. The price was very cheap as compared to the quantity. The quality of the basmati rice for biriyani was ok and the potato inside the biryani was broken and didn't have the apt flavours.<br/><br/>However, the quality of the chicken piece and mutton pieces were very good. The mutton biriyani had two pieces whereas the chicken biryani had one piece but both good. Raita along with it was also good and the salad as well. Packing was also done very professionally.

I ordered fried rice with chicken manchurian, and as shown in the picture, the gravy which I received as chicken manchurian is just the cooked chicken cubes in tomato sauce, unfortunately this is not what chicken manchurian is. The restaurant needs to understand what they are selling, else they shud remove these stuff from their menu.<br/><br/>Unfortunately cant recommend this place to anyone.

Had high hopes when I ordered butter chicken, garlic Naan, and Keema paratha online. However, the order came almost an hour late. Also, the food was not upto the mark.

Terrible food. Had ordered the fried rice with chicken manchurian combo with spring roll. The fried rice and spring roll was burnt. No taste at all. The chicken manchurian was more of a tomato soup with chicken put in it, which was not tender at all. A big mistake! Was misled coz of the rating of 3.7 on Zomato!

I order mutton biryani, rabri falooda and nihari the other day and it was tasty, only thing which surprises me was the quantity of oil in nihari, if ill remove the oil the nihari was only half of the container which is dissappointing as it costs 18 dirhams, in desi restaurants we get more quantity then this for breakfast only<br/>3 star only for taste<br/>

Placed a pick up order half an hour ago. Went there just to find out that they did not “receive the order”. What’s funny is that I placed the order to a person on phone. Not sure how “not received” applies here... <br/><br/>Someone later called and told me that the order was ready and there was a confusion by the lady who informed me that the order was not received. Would have wanted to rate 1 but since he apologized, changing it to 2.

Its the best place for good simple biryani usually... However yesterday when i ordered keema paratha from here, I found two 1 cm sized pieces of clear straw like plastic. Disappointed but will be careful next time as they have always had very good standards previously..

I feel sorry for giving them three starts and that is because I was expecting a lot from their biryani but no, that typical Pakistani chatkharay dar taste was missing. Although we love their paye, and we love going there for breakfast often. Omelette sure gives ami k hath ka khana feels, chai is cherry on the top. <br/>I wish I could give you one more star for your nashta, but please give me more masala in my biryani first.

Ordered Lahori mutton Karhai.. requested to make it spicy ... worst of its kind ever tried ... had too much of raw red chilies and mutton was under cooked with smell... all went wasted ... please improve!

Axel and I are big fans of Indian/Pakistani food and ever since we tried Dum Pukht, we’ve become loyal customers.<br/><br/>We’ve tried a handful of Indian/Pakistani restaurants in the JLT/Dubai Marina area but Dum Pukht has the best taste. We always order the same dishes every time which is the Lahori Chicken Karahi, Chicken Handi, Dal Makhani and a full portion of steamed rice.<br/>🍽 = 25/25<br/><br/>I have no complaints with the customer service at Dum Pukht. The restaurant manager, Anne, already knows us from the many times that I or Axel ordered from them and she’s always helpful whenever we have any special requests or issues that need sorting out. My only comment is that the first time we ordered from them, they had forgotten our steamed rice and there was one time they gave us regular chicken instead of boneless, so there is always room for improvement in terms of consistency of service.<br/>👫 = 8/10<br/><br/>The delivery time varies I guess depending on how busy they are at the time. Usually they take an average of 45 to 60 minutes, but there will be a good day when our food will arrive in about 30 minutes.<br/>⏳ = 8/10<br/><br/>We usually spend an average of AED 100 for two people every time we order from Dum Pukht which in itself is already not a bad price, but the quality of food is amazing and the serving can feed even 4 people, so we always end up having more for another meal, so it’s definitely worth the price!<br/>💸 = 5/5 <br/><br/>As a loyal customer, I have just one comment which I hope reaches the management: they have recently updated their menu and while I agree that every restaurant should continuously try to improve their offering, I am disappointed to see that the new options do not have steamed rice! We enjoy our chicken meals with steamed rice and that is non-negotiable so not having it on the menu is a huge inconvenience. I hope this is something the management takes into consideration!<br/><br/>Other than that, I’m glad to say Dum Pukht has definitely won our hearts. I always mention it to fellow Indian/Pakistani food lovers to spread the word ☺️ and we will definitely continue to patronize the restaurant as long as the service, quality of food and price remain consistent.<br/><br/>⭐️ 25+8+8+5 = 46/50

I ordered for Chicken Kabab Biryani but received Chicken Biryani instead without any reason which tasted horrible.... the biryani was filled with potatoes with 1 piece of chicken...

Very bad experience and cancelled food after 2 hours of waiting and restaurant not even talk to me or appolagize. Bad approach towards customer<br/>

I was so disappointed that i decided not to complain but yhen i saw your text asking for the feedback. I ordered paya, chicken achari and lahori fish. This fish was so over fried that it had literally become as hard as chicken or maybe it was refried. It had a weird fishy smell too. There was nothing lahori about the fish. The chicken was so overcooked that it had become extremely hard to chew, we threw all the chicken and only had the gravy. The fish went to the bin too. The paya was ok through. Woke up in the morning with a bad stomach. Overall very disappointed. Never going to order from you guys again.
