Two-part review, 1. Service and 2. Food
1. Service
- I think they need more waiting staff and their communication skills need working on.
- from what I could see, Chinese staff spoke only to Chinese patrons (95% of customers were Chinese, which is a good thing BTW). The Kabayan and Indian staff were courteous although the kitchen sent out food in a very random manner > Dim Sum were served last!
2. Food
- Excellent food. Ordered Sweet and Sour Prawns, Beef sizzler with black pepper sauce, Chicken fried noodles, beef wok noodles and steamed rice and, finally, chicken sio mai.
- Dim Sum - 3pcs, came last when we were quite full and chicken stuffing was made of what tasted like low-grade chicken...this was the lowest-grade dish of our meal.
- Sweet and Sour Prawns > very good and just like the UK-style of Sweet and Sour. Excellent portion size and not overly sweet...my favourite dish of the meal.
- Beef sizzler with Black Pepper Sauce > tender beef, with peppers and onions...didn't sizzle but great depth of flavour in the sauce and dish coupled well with plain steamed rice...the Wife loved this dish.
- Chicken Fried Noodles > our 5yr old Daughter loved these noodles..Wife also said they were a good dish.
Overall, a score of 4. Better service could make it a 5 and I think on the next visit will try more side dishes
...their veg dishes looked really nice and were popular with the Chinese diners.
This is not Indo-Chinese, it's an authentic Chinese restaurant, so whilst I understand the low-ratings from other Indian diners, readers should note this restaurant caters to Chinese diners and the food/menu reflects this.
If you're a Sweet and Sour fan, like me, you can't go wrong...it'll be well worth the visit.
This is one of the few authentic chinese restaurants with good number/options of spicy Sichuan dishes. Prices are bit on higher side but portions are generous compared to other similar places. Much less crowded because of its location. Service certainly needs to be stepped up a bit. Authenticity of taste is good with acceptable quantity and some very well presented dishes. Overall a good restaurant for a evening out with friends and family to enjoy some good chinese food.
Great food. Good service. One of our favorite Chinese Restaurants. Lamb Bao is the best. Not crowded and simple but attractive ambiance if the place.
Restaurant is named after one of Chinese ruling dynasty. Very impressive oriental decor and curious non Chinese staff.
Cuisine indeed Chinese served in traditional way.
Family Bowl of chicken soup was enough for 4 person.
Sweet and sour beef ribs were very good.
Egg Tart was good
Chicken Manchurian delicious
I love the food and the ambience,,, the staff is friendly,,, and i wanna comeback again with my friends... I highly recommend to try and visit this restaurant,,
Very nice Chinese restaurant in town, all good was amazing the staffs also welcome. Located in Hudheiba Award Towers at the back side, easy to find. It's recommended restaurant for everyone who'd like to taste Chinese food at the same time with kind of Chinese atmosphere and hospitality.
Fantastic experience... authentic Chinese cuisine and not the indianized version... The sizzling beef was to die for and the edible fungus salad had us worried by name but was delectable.. the karaoke was fun timepass but it suddenly switched to Chinese lyrics in between.. all n all a good place to spend an evening with friends or family and experiment with food
It's one of the authentic Chinese restaurant in Dubai. You can see agents bringing the Chinese tourist there. Even in weekend is not much rush and always a clam area, may be becoz of that location.
Enough quantity of food served there.
Good luck team.
Tang Palace is part of a small chain of authentic Chinese restaurants hugely popular with the Chinese themselves. The other two branches are Tang Palace in Dubai Marina and the original, Mian Dian Wang in International City. Located in the Al Hudaiba Awards Building (next door to Bar B.Q. Tonight) at the flag-end of 2nd of December street and Jumeirah, this flagship-branch boasts an expansive communal dining area where Chinese tourists are brought in (by the busload) to dine. In typical Chinese fashion, there are a number of posh, private dining rooms, where I was lucky enough to have dined. The food at Tang Palace is superb, easily among the best I have had outside International City, Dubai’s unofficial Chinatown. Thankfully there are English speaking wait staff who can guide you through their extensive menu as well as plenty of glossy pictures to help you decide what to order. Service is friendly, fast and accommodating. Prices are surprisingly reasonable.
In my mind, Tang Palace is one of the two best Asian restaurants in the Satwa area (the other being Noodle Bowl on 2nd of December). The truth is, it is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Dubai, period, and well worth a detour.
Waste NOT. Want NOT.

I was invited by our family to a luncheon in one of their private rooms which was well laid out, finding the right room is bit of a challenge though as there isn't a clear entrance door as there are many doors and a bit confusing.
Initially I was hesitant about trying authentic Chinese however was pleasantly surprised with the food.. a few on my top list of must try dishes besides the regular dim sums, fried rice and noodles are-
Spinach and vermicillie salad
Edible Fungas Salad
Hot and Spicy potato in a dry pot
Tofu homestyle
And the very best Spicy lamb chops
I had the honour to attend a book releasing activity in a private room in this restaurant. I was greatly impressed by the quality of food served here and definitely intend to come with my guests in future.
The space was rather limited in the private room with two huge tables filling up the area and the decoration was extremely nice ornamental and traditional. The chairs and the huge tables are of very heavy reddish brown woodwork and a very helpful rotating disc on top of it that helps the different items served to reach in front of every guest. Ambience was cosy and personalised.
As I was an invitee, I didn't order and I don't know the exact names of the items. It was a set menu fixed by the organisers. That's why I will be dwelling but lightly on the food items.
We started by some glass noodles and spinach vegetables- smooth fresh. Then some delectable big and fleshy spring rolls with crunchy exteriors but unfortunately oily too much. Next we had some pieces of pies. Black juicy mushrooms were a treat- so were the pokchoy. Tofu on a burning pot was dry pan fried lightly. Peking duck was quite good with crunchy skin. The whole fish in soya sauce and vinegar was a hit- finished very fast. Lamb ribs with big red chillies were a personal favourite. There were nice herbs and spices in the lamb and properly crunchy outside but soft and juicy flesh inside and well marinated. The prawns were very nicely cooked and fried keeping the spicy sweet and chilli taste preserved. Chicken in red chillies - boneless , was another common favourite- finishing very fast. Nicely salted and spices. A cooking hot pot with Lamb cubes were nice with less spices. Pot stickers were presented last which were lightly fried longish dimsums - again very juicy wit light thin cover of steamed flour. Finally a sweet item with sesame coated ?date pies. Not very sweetish.
For me the toppers were the glass noodles and spinach steamed and the black mushrooms. I didn't touch the noodles after this whole lot. In the non veg section, I absolutely fell in love with the Prawns. They were the best. Lamb ribs were next best with the chicken boneless fries rounding off.
Lots of new items to ruminate and enjoy here. Presented in excellent cutleries and stylish hotpots. Service is unobtrusive and polite. They do look after you well.
Recommended to visit.
Ambience- 4/5.
Interiors-4/5.
Service-4/5.
Food quality-4.5/5.
I have added the photos separately.
Beautiful food presentation coupled with one of the best tasting Chinese cuisine in Dubai.
Service staff is well trained and treated customers with upmost courtesy.
Restaurant is super clean and recently renovated with beautiful Chinese decor
Crockery made of high quality porcelains and expensive chopsticks
Choice of free or Plenty of paid parking for 5 dhs per hour
Giant 10 x 5 meter led tvs showing secret history of Chinese cooking
Very authentic. Love almost everything especially the seafood congee 😋😋😋 it would be even better if their delivery service is more efficient with delivery to my door instead of me having to go downstairs to collect since they charge delivery fee
Favorite Chinese restaurant in Dubai, with lots of parking place and quite surroundings. I don't know when it got revamped but now it looks just like a high-end dining place for families and friends, private karaoke room is just a huge plus for the restaurant.
Food taste is completely different from the last time i went last year. Great mix of north and south Chinese cuisine. Loved the hanging roasted chicken, Chaozhou seafood porridge and fish ball soup(i can't taste any flour in them!).
The decor in the restaurant are I guess all imported from China with a touch of "Zen". Waiters are also very friendly and speed of service is great.
Finally a good place to eat Chinese food without going to International city...
Trypical Chinese dishes for those who prefer non-spicy.We always order from them and recommend the Garlic Chiken and all the veg fried dishes.
Amazing. Just amazing.
We started with the dumplings; how could we not? We were a tad disappointed that the famed pan fried bao were not available on the night we were there. However, the disappointment was short lived following the delivery of bulging plates of the handmade lamb, chicken and vegetable dumplings. Wow! The dumplings use a much thinner casing than the bao which is more like a cake/bun texture. This means that the dumplings really showcase their contents in all their glory. While the lamb ones were unquestionably delicious, the chicken dumplings were a big hit and the freshness of the vegetable dumplings won over even the most steadfast carnivores of our group.
This restaurant is a true gem, and everyone should make time to visit it at some point.

Awesome delicious Chinese Cuisine. It is so authentic! Take a notes that all the dishes are in big portions 😍

Real chinese food, not westernized.
The restaurant has different rooms and entrances. This to accomodate large groups of tourists. All the tables are round of 8 to 10 people. It's ok if you are just a couple. Baby chair available.
We came her to specifically find the spicy noodle with packchoi. It's a rare find. It was excellent but i first removed a bit of the chilly before eating. Sizzling octopus with chillies is divine and again i left the "jalapenos" behind so i could enjoy the dish.
Chicken with glass noodle is very tasty too.
We can't wait to come back to discover more of their dishes.
