On top of being lied to about the delivery time 3 times, with the food being over a half hour late, the sushi showed up warm and inedible, the prawns tasted like mold, and the "Salad" looked like it spent about a week in the refridgerator. Never ordering from here again, and to anyone reading this, don't waste your time ordering from this place. The direct translation of this place's name means "amazing," and they embarass the Japanese language.

The service, delivery personnel and efficiency is a 0 out of 10. Ordered at 10:30pm. Waited 2 hours and no order received. Guests waited till 12:00AM and they had to leave. I am truly embarrassed. This is absurd. Zomato & Sugoi both are responsible for this as neither of the platforms were helpful as I could not reach neither of them through their contact mediums. I do not recommend ordering during promotions or ordering at all, unless you can tolerate being hungry for 1+ hours. Oh and order was very simple. Sushi. 2 rolls. Thats it.

I ordered Ramen from Sugoi! The pictures looked so good! So i cant wait to eat my Ramen. (1st Ramen) when I had my order - it was beef Soy Ramen. The color is dull, it tasted like water with noodles! It’s like instant noodles but horrible not the tasty ones. I went back to them told them kt doesnt taste like ramen. So they said they will change it. Waited for another 5mins. (2nd Ramen) then my “new” Ramen came. looking good, but not perfect! see below. Tasted it, tasted nothing! They just placed maybe oil and loads and loads of sesame seeds! Tasted like instant noodles you buy from the grocery shop, pour it in a cup and add hot water, voila! Ramen! Thats how it taste like. So i wasted my money for this. Huhu

Your delivery is a disaster. Your driver calls me asks me to send him my location telling me he is in front of the supermarket downstairs and I dont know what he is doing there! Do I really have to whatsapp your driver to check my half an hour delayed order???? Both zomato and this restaurant is terrible!

made an order 8:41 pm didnt receive it even after 1hr30 told zomato to cancel my order, and zomato support didnt provide any help except the sorry 20 aed credit apology token and told me to wait more!after 2 hours the restaurant send me my order without even informing me they are going to i cracked 2 eggs on the pan and had dinner!took my food and fed it to the cats!zero understanding of customer service principles !

Ordered the Prawn Tempura, Pepper Salmon, Chicken Fried Rice and Noodles for dinner. It might be that the food was made earlier the day and possibly not so fresh anymore, as the Tempura was hard and dried out. The salmon was unfortunately not tasty either. Cliche, too peppery and very oily. It didn’t taste like salmon. Lucky pick of the night was the Chicken Fried Rice.

We like the noodles, fried rice, shrimp tempura, California maki and salmon steaks (teriyaki & tapenyaki) The chicken and beef stir fries are waaaaay too salty and boldly flavored but fills a good comfort food gap when you want to have a "dirty" meal. Not for everyone. Above average quality for food court food. Quality/Taste/Flavor 3/5 Value 3/5 (5/5 with Entertainer which is accepted for Combo/Bento too) Service 3/5

First of all thanks to HBI for sending a birthday voucher which I used in Sugoi. I opted for Bento 2 (combo) and had a chicken teriyaki, beef black pepper with rice. The chicken was good, beef was tasty but rubbery / chewy and rice needed a bit of soy. I have visited Sugoi earlier too and found that they have very limited items mainly sushi, teriyaki, tepanyaki, tempura. I Wish they could work on their range and also food presentation displayed on the counter which is not at all appealing.

My colleagues and I went here for a quick late dinner and I'm glad we did. Loved the bentos specially the sushi!! 😋 Totally enjoyed the food we ordered and kudos to the staff who still took our orders even if it's almost mall closing time.

Great Japanese restaurant in Batuta Mall. Food- 4.5/5 Their black pepper salmon is amazing, also the Orange California roll is a must try. Service- 5/5 They guy at the counter was very friendly, smiling and well trained. Ambiance- 4/5 It is a food court in a mall, nothing special however very clean. The only thing I didn't like is the long wait to place the order as the staff on the counter was asking for mobile numbers from people; so they can enjoy discount next time. Discounts are always great but they need to come up with something different and not holding the line as the person front of you is thinking if he/ she will leave the mobile number.

The go-to Japanese fast food restaurant of Ibn Battuta. Situated next to Carrefour, Sugoi has been around since 2009 and they know what people crave for when it comes to sushi and sashimi. Check out their Loyalty Programs, Gastronaut. Their menu has a lot of variety when it comes to Japanese cuisine and exciting bento boxes, which you have an option to go to for noodles or rice. My personal favorite is their tempura and prawn panko. Their marketing is extensive from Entertainer and Mashreq. It’s great value and will suit your to-go attitude coz you do not need to wait for your hunger to be satisfied. To sum it up: Value for Money : 5/5 Quality of Food : 4/5 (tuna was not fresh) Service : 4/5 (cashier looks unhappy) Ambience : 5/5 (clean, bright and spacious) Overall : 4.5/5

I find the food just ok. Nothing great or worth coming back. The beef is not that tender and the noodles is already soft. Flavour is just average. I find the price expensive considering the portion is quite small just good for 1 person. Not value for money. They have to improve their food quality considering the competition and other food kiosk offer better food choices.

Used to be better... Used to be much better than now... I guess the key word is fresh... It used to be more fresh than now, used to eat there at least twice a month, was a big fan of his bentos 🍱... It definitely has less traffic now, so I don't know it's less traffic coz it's less fresh or it became less fresh coz of less traffic!! Anyway this circle has to be broken!

Review bases on delivery. food comes hot and packed well, 45mins time and came 6mins earlier. Order dish is bento 4 woth sushi orange and miso soup. 3 pcs of sushi, sushi made very nice. miso soup is filled with seaweed and tofu, nice taste. Main meal the prawn panko is soso due to thick soggy flour, firied chicken wings, um..... over cooked. beef......chewy...... noodle......the udon quality is not good. I think... I would order sushi next time but not the bento anymore.

My first time at Sugoi, but definitely not the last. Ordered the Bento 4, which came with Prawn, Chicken, Beef, Fried Rice and some Salad. I paid for my food at one end, and got my order at the other, with absolutely no waiting. I was a bit sceptical seeing how fast it came, but the food was good. The Prawn and Beef were amazing with that slight charred taste to it. Seemed a bit steep at first for 40bucks, but the portion I got was definite value for money.

It's a nice restaurant among other Chinese outlets. We have ordered Bento, Teriyaki salmon, Tempura rice and chicken Katsu with rice. All dishes was nice specially their rice. Their staff who served Ms.Lea was very friendly and helpful. Good luck team.

I can understand that quality makes a place pricier but sometimes you just need to turn to an alternative that may not be bad at all. The rolls here are decent, even though its food court quality, it does it's job at making my stomach happy. The bento boxes has a great selection of items and the taste is good. With the sushi & sashimi combo, I do feel like it isn't the freshest, but you can't expect too much when you decide to eat at a food court for Japanese food. Rating: 3.5/5 Order: Sushi&Sashimi combo - 40DHS, prawn tempura rolls - 24DHS, bento 4 - 40DHS Pricing: Inexpensive. Service: Had to acknowledge the staff behind the counter first. The food came out fast. Ambiance: Located in the food court if the IBN buttata mall. The counter was clean and the sign was easy to read.

I wouldn't say it was terrible but it was a big disappointment. The shrimp grilled or tempura fried were ok, but definitely not the best. The noodles on the other hand felt undercooked and didn't taste fresh. The chicken (teriyaki) was too dry and the sauce was a bit gelatinous. I didn't enjoy it. I do love their cute plates though.

Ordered for a quick prawn tempura , honestly speaking it was a big time let down , a prawn tempura needs to be crispy and it needs to have that crunch from inside , but unfortunately it was super oily and they was no crisp or crunch in it . The dish that they served as per the quality the pricing was way too high . Located in the food court not crowded at all , I guess they really need to work out on their quality of food they deliver .

after a long shopping trip in Ibn Battuta mall My friend and I decided to have some sushi as we were craving for some since some time and we decided to visit Sugoi to have a healthy meal, usually I always try to look at the positive side of the experience.However, the reasons for giving this rating is a combination of the following factors: - Service: staff were friendly but our order took exactly 20 minutes to be ready which we were not informed about. We usually don't mind waiting but it would have been appreciated if the staff communicated to us the exact timing instead of us keep going back to the counter to ask about our order status. - Sushi: we ordered Nigiri Combo for 40 AED, which was fine and well served, its recommended. -Terriyaki Prwan: for 40 AED we were excited to try this one but dish came out cold and the noodles were very dry and lacked flavor , prawns were ok but we were a bit disappointed with the overall result. - Beverages: fresh orange juice which we thought was a nice way to finish a meal. Overall 3\5 , I would like to visit again to give it another try maybe they were just having a bad day! .Their bento combos looked appealing for my next shopping trip craving. Miso soup was good, lots of tofu and seaweed. However, the star of the show which should be sushi was not that star at all. It lacked any taste at all, and it had mango inside which I didn't even know. Was awful. The salmon one was fine.

Very average food level. I ordered chicken and beef Bento 2 plus salmon teriyaki. Chicken was awful, i couldnt even chew it. Beef was average but eatble. My friend said that salmon was "ok". On phone i asked noodles for Bento 2 and rice for salmon, but they delivered rice for both meals. I didnt feel any taste in "sugoi" food, literally no any flavors. Just plain rice and meat.

I felt like having Sushi all of a sudden late at night and was very lazy to get dressed up so decided to step down and have some sushi at Sugoi as that's the closest sushi place I could think off. We ordered 1 California roll which was very average and we ordered 1 fried sushi as we had never tasted it before, the fried sushi actually tasted like an Indian wada pav. Staff is nice and friendly but the service is a little slow.

Nice sushi over there plus the wasabi is pretty good. Not bad! There were some negatives however: My food was a bit too cold, not the best tasting crab, etc. But overall I quite like it!

Tasty Japanese food, after running through the food court deciding what to eat Sugoi was recommended, i opted for the Bento 2 which had salad, chicken tapanyakki and beef black pepper served with fried rice. The chicken was alright but the beef was quite tasty but they are quite tight on the meat servings but well it was a decent meal and value for money. For drinks i had the fresh orange juice which is recommended.

Another one of the places that I seem to have a love hate relationship with. Their bento portions depends on the staff present at the counter serving you, on a good day its overflowing and on a not so good day it's very little! I like their bento number three though which gives you the option of any two seafood, noodles and a salad except that at times I wish they wouldn't be so sloppy looking when they are out together because then I end up feeling like I'm eating a noodle salad instead of actually them being separate. I also sometimes have to remind them to put the sauces with my order as they tend to forget although it's not that busy or crowded. I like their salmon teriyaki but yet again that is another inconsistent thing in terms of portions and if you are given a small one by chance, you can't request for a small another one because they are only meant to put one and you will be charged extra otherwise.

Soups Salads And More

This sushi box costs 42AED while the smaller boxes cost 30AED... It's a cheap place for sushi but these are not made on order.. This place don't have the best staff & their salmon are overcooked while the prawn tempuras coatings are so thick... I won't be recommending this place for anything other than sushis...

After a long day of shopping, the hunger was enormous. We wandered aimlessly for a place we hadn't tried before. I was sick of fries and fast foods and the bam Sugoi appeared. The ladies at the desk were super friendly and explained the dishes to us and make some really good recommendations. I ordered the Salmon Black Pepper and my friend the Bento 2, which is rice or noodles with your choice of either beef, chicken or veg and salad.I wasn't expecting the food to be this good. Really delicious and tasty. The salmon was to die for, so tender and juicy. There's nothing worse than dry salmon. This was amazing and not salty at all. The Black Pepper sauce that it came in was amazing.The Bento 2 was good. I enjoyed the chicken, it tasted a bit tangy. The beef was a bit hard but I loved the garlic and onion infusion. Really nutritious tasting food. When eating take always, I am often laden with that guilty feeling but after this meal I was so full but in a really good way. My taste buds were very pleased. Plus the orange juice here is amazingly fresh and only 10AED its a must try. The only issue I had was the noisy food court. Argh I dislike food courts but alas I was tired hungry and had to make do with what I had. Thanks Sugoi Team. I will be back

Decent place for a quick bite located in the food court at Ibn battuta mall and offers Japanese cuisine. So the seating area is basically the food court itself, so nothing special and I think that is the reason it's not many people's favourite. Service is very good, staff are quick at taking orders anf the tray is quickly filled and you are on your way. Food wise, I'm not an expert on Japanese cuisine because I don't have it much, but my order tasted good, I had a bento lunch deal, consisted of 3 pieces of prawn, chicken wings, beef and steamed rice. The entire meal was healthy and not too heavy comparing to other asian restaurants I've been to. Liked the place but not sure its worth going to for a proper meal.

Black Pepper Salmon with Rice and Chicken Skewers!!! Delicious Japanese food. We went for the healthy non fried version. They do have the Panko fried and Tempura fried prawns etc for the caloric indulgent. They have some sushi assortments that seem valuable, but oh the Black Pepper Salmon is certainly worth it!!

Actually I have tried sushi in many places in Dubai and I would say that Sugoi in Ibn Battuta has the best taste compering to others,in fact after I purchased quite good looking sushi from MOE I stopped eating sushi for almost a year ,have no clue what was wrong in it but I couldnt think of sushi anymore. So Sugoi is my favourite for a long time. I found their soup a bit too salty but it became better lately. Have you tried how salty miso soups in other restaurants ?? so please.. I am not Japanese but I compared many and that is the best so far !!

Really below average Asian food. I think it's skews towards Japanese but there isn't much Japanese about it. Everything I ate was overly salty (MSG?). The miso soup was the worst I've had. How do you mess up miso soup? I think it's a sister company to Magic Wok. It's not surprising since that place is awful, too.
