Nice restaurant in jlt cluster V. Visited 3 times and i found them welcoming. Superb food tried Tiger Prawns and good thing they have PAN shisha. Shisha is also good service is good. Will visit again. Their female manager is very nice and helping. Keep the good work up guys.
This place is one of the best for food and shisha. Fresh and extremely delicious salads and food along with amazing shisha that they offer. Staff are super friendly and always happy to serve you. Love this place.
This place is like a hidden gem in JLT. Shisha is awesome and so is the food. Special shout to Mustafa for some awesome shisha.
Baldwin Cafe is our go-to place whenever we want to chill and smoke shisha. It’s convenient for us because we live in JLT. This Vday, 2019, me and my cousins spent a few hours at Baldwin. They have an amazing offer that’s been going on where you can have a free shisha when you order a main course, so we did try it. Good food!
Nice place for some casual food and shisha for smokers. I had the Shish Tawook and it was very tasty, although I would have preferred garlic sauce instead of cocktail sauce with it.
This is a nice option for lunch with variety of dishes (they have also daily dish available). The portions are quite big and the staff is welcoming and attentive (particularly Angel).

should try it out if you work around JLT and want to step in for a mini-break. Sheesha is indoors until 6pm, have tried it before and after 6pm, both indoors and outdoors is pleasant enough.
This restaurant is very well located in JLT.
Parking is available with RTA charges however available easily most of time.
The service is very nice and they have outdoor as well as indoor seating area.
In a nice weather, it’s beautiful to sit around with friends with backdrop of lake and high-rises.
I have been there for sheesha and Arabic food however the salads are nice also.
Mustafa the sheesha maker is amazing person, always smiling and the whole staff is very welcoming.

Very nice place. Tried steak, and all day breakfasts. Despite the very tasty food, the best part of the experience is the host Mr Nabil. Had a lovely afternoon in the backdrop of the Egyptian pyramids and the sphinx :)
I have to put in a word for this one!. One of the only places in JLT that serves you sheesha by the lake. Not just that, they serve paan sheesha! No going all the way to bur dubai to get some good paan sheesha! Not sure how the food is, but will make sure to get some the next time i go there and put up a review about the same.
Evening Shisha time! They have tables near the JLT lake. so calming and relaxing. Sipping coffee & Shisha (Apple + Mint) which went on for good 1 hour + .... really enjoyed the evening. when asked for a phone charger, the owner gave me his phone charger. Very hospitable gentleman! defi coming back and recommended! Next time i will try their food too.
I haven't tried all Arabic places in JLT, but quite a few and I can say that Baldwin has by far the best Hummus for the best price!
The place itself is a bit more of a Shisha place, but they have a good mix of dishes, quality food and fresh bread.
I would certainly coming back here to try more.

10th November 2017 at 9:30 pm, my boyfriend and I decided to go have a shisha session nearby his place.
As always, we've been really loyal customers to Baldwin Cafe - we keep coming back eversince we've tried their amazing shishas about a year back.
Mustafa, who we believe is the owner of the cafe is very welcoming - always a smile on his face and very friendly to customers and to his own staff as well.
The main thing for me and my boyfriend is to have shisha really and just get on with the night. We were very open to trying something we've never tried before. Mustafa took our orders and informed us that on Fridays it would be free shisha for the ladies for as long as you order something from the menu for at least 40 dirhams. He recommended to have the blueberry, grape and mint shisha so we trusted him and got one for me and my boyfriend to try. Wow! It was really a great mix!!! As a result, we got another one of the same flavor for my boyfriend to enjoy for himself.
On top of the shisha we got a shish tawook (not sure how to spell that lol) platter. And holy molly! The garlic sauce was the VIP of the night!!!! My boyfriend was so addicted to it! It was really so so good!
In a nutshell:
Ambiance - good, just like your regular shisha hang out place and they also have a separate place for non- smokers so that's good.
Location - good but only cos it was close to my bf's house, otherwise really not so good cos this cafe needs more exposure for real!!!
Staff/Owner (service) - EXCELLENT! Very friendly and always happy to assist!
Prices - very pocket friendly
Food - very tasty! Generous servings for everything we've tried so far!
Shisha - not the best but definitely one of the top notchers on my list!
Overall, definitely coming back for more of that garlic sauce and to try more of their menu items!
Ideal place to sit and chill while you get some work done as well as smoke some quality shisha. The shisha is perfect and very reasonably priced. The service provided by each individual is top notch and friendly and attentive. I would like to mention Thamer, Mustafa and Jawad for their superb attention to detail and making the customers feel like family. The food is also on point and their bread is pretty amazing. I think this place can surprise you. Highly recommended. And now with lakeside shisha license being obtained, this place is now just perfect!!
It's a good place if you wanna chill and have shisha! Specially if you are in neighbourhood and fan of shisha it might be your go to place .
Had the English breakfast. It was yumm. The best part was the service. The waiter and waitresses are very hospitable. They treat their guests with respect and always smile. I can keep coming here over and over again.
The outdoor seating by the lake is nice and the service is good. We ordered the greek salad and the chicken in mushroom sauce. Both were very good. Nothing to complain about at all but definitely not a place to go to on a weekend. It's a restaurant you go to on a weekday when you are bored at home in JLT and just want a chill casual quick dinner.
One of my favorite restaurants in JLT. Great location and view, next to the water. Today they had mazing lunch offeer, for 35 dirhams you will get soup, drink, salad and daily dish. They have shisha also, but I still didn't try. Also you can collect points and get free voucher for anything from the menu. Burgers are amazing.
Two words sum up for all old timers of this quiet restaurant in Cluster V, JLT. Complete Turnaround! After hitting a gastronomic plateau, I saw Baldwin dabble a few experiments with their choices, but nothing worth a mention. So regulars like me migrated to other sumptuous sanctuaries that sprung up in JLT post 2013. To cut a long story short, I made a visit to the place today after hearing a lot of positives from close friends who are avid foodies. Was greeted well. Order was quick. Meal of the day. I choose Fish Sayadieh. First came the soft drink, then a thick flavorful soup followed by a plateful of the classic dish. The taste scored full marks. Presentation full marks. The portion perfect. Was not only surprised by the warm hospitality and great taste but also reasonable price at AED 36. BTW non smokers, fear not, now Baldwin has a separate enclosed smokers dining area. Great show guys.

I think it's not fair to review the restaurant but the chef. I never liked their previous chef as the food he cooked was bland. Now the chef has been changed and the food they serve is good. Especially i love their daily dishes. I had been there consistantly for 3 days now and tried their many daily dishes. I loved each of them. They have reasonably priced it at aed 35 and serve lentil soup, Arabic salad and soft drinks with the main course. The quantity they serve is more than enough for a person with good appetite. The only issue i faced was if you order normal mineral water instead of the drinks, these guys charge a whooping AED 8 for a small bottle of water (500ml). So please beware of the water and try buying the same from the nearby Needs n Wants supermarket. 😀

Baldwin Cafe is a nice place to hangout. I dine in and delivered from there. They got the batter service. The delivery is more faster then other restaurants in jlt.
Cozy place. Love the english breakfast. Love the staff too! Very friendly and accommodating! Will definitely spend most of my friday mornings here!
Clean place, very good service, decent portion and reasonable prices. Good seats inside and outside, surely when the weather is better the view outside on the lake would be lovely with the nice food.
A nice place by the lake especially when the weather is cool. The owner's wife is a decent lady that takes care of everyone and make sure they are happy with their food. The only comment I would have is that some of the menu items can be overpriced.

Good location .. Ideal place for lunch besides the lake we ordered calamari ring and mozzarella cheese sticks.. Cheese sticks were good.. But calamari was not crisp and oil tasted old.. Staff was fine .. But very late in serving ..

Great place to have lunch/dinner, best coffee in the area that's a fact.
They have pastry chef, who can make fondant cakes for special occasions, which are amazing.

Italian restaurants and food joints are all over the place but this restaurant definitely finds a place in my top 10 favorite restaurants list. "SUPER CHEAP" with amazing Ambiance
AMBIANCE :- Right besides the JLT lake, this restaurant just provides you with comfort outdoor seating to chill with friends, indoor seating and regular table chair overlooking the lake. The cool weather at night with soft winds around the lake makes the hot food better.
RATE :- As I said earlier, SUPEERRRRRRRRRR CHEAP!!!!50aed and your stomach will be at peace and full with various options.
FOOD:- Loved loved loved the food. Was surprised to see only 2.8 rating. Tried Café latte ,chicken pineapple salad, chicken penne alfredo, chicken potato gratin. The quantity of all the dishes were amazing. Pasta tastes good and somehow didn't feel heavy after having so much white sauce and cheese. GRATIN is a must!! At 21aed its a must try. Altogether the food is yummy!!
SERVICE :- The staff is great, friendly and welcoming. Service is a little slow but worth the wait.
ADVICE TO FRIENDS :- At such a price and serene ambiance, this place is worth a try
ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT:- Please don't use the flashy disco light, doesn't really goes with the décor.
