Usually I spend most of my evening tea time with Red Pepper Qusais .
Quantity and quality is good.
Fresh milk tea and snacks 😋
Fish curry meals also recommended.
Pocket friendly
My five stars for their evening snacks and delicious pothichoru..snacks are just amazing you will love it if you are a keralalite or South Indian food lover..pothichoru is enough to fill two people's stomach.
Tried out the Motta set kerela meals. It was very tasty. Loved the tasty food served in the banana giving a very homely feel. The food serve was also good. Thanks for a wonderful lunch🙂
The food is yummy and very affordable unlike other similar restaurants. The only issue I have is the place is to congested to dine in. I would always prefer to order.
Authentic Kerala food , tried pothichoru from here worth the price and tasty .... will definitely try again...quality of food 5*,Value for money 4*, Ambiance 3.5* Friendly customer service 4*
If you are craving a flavor full meal at a really small price ... this place is a jackpot. I love their wheat paranthas any day and goes best with chicken chaittinad, onions and little lime.

Fresh Milk Tea / Doodh Patti
Fresh Milk is a delicacy in the UAE, today I got a bonus. Fresh Milk and Fresh Milk Tea. This post is about Fresh Milk Tea. I know there are a few joints that do fresh milk tea, but the one I recently uncovered is in Qusais on Damascus Street near Dubai Grand Hotel.
They serve a variety of teas as well as some snacks to munch on all day. Breakfast and Dinner is also on the menu if you are in the mood.
I only tried the fresh milk tea and it was good. Not overloaded with sugar as you would find mostly.
As they say.... "cheeni rok kay, patti thok kay"
They have an outside seating as well if you want to hangout and enjoy the weather these days.

The meals they serve is pretty good. It’s cheap when compared to competition. I’ve not tried anything else. The service is quick. Parking is not easy though.
By far the best meals ever eaten . I usually order their veg meals from them for lunch.. comes with rice sambar , Rasam , poriyal sweet and applam. Great place also reasonable
What to order here:
- Lovely malayali chai
- Uzhunnu vada
- Parippu vada
- Banana fritters
They make spectacular evening desi snacks and chai.
Seating area: Limited
I have tried out other dishes here, but was not satisfied with my experience.
Pricing: Inexpensive
This place is like a hidden gem for some awesome seafood & is four star ⭐️ for me in taste, quality & quantity! they serve some amazing south indian food and fry in this small restaurant. Friendly staff, Good quality & Quick service. Highly recommended
worth for your money it's cheap and best.very nice taste. All briyani items and meals are very cheap.Nadan chai is very good here and lots of kadi also
Tried their Kanji meal for dinner
Taste just as exactly as made at home
Those who wish to try a light meal for dinner. It’s good to try
They do have other kerala delicacies which are yet to be tried
Will try and review the same as well
Went here with a friend for tea as we really liked their big bold and inviting "Sulaimani" counter and the adjoining tea menu. I ordered the Kadak tea (AED 1.00) while my friend ordered her usual Sulaimani tea with lemon (AED 1.00). The Kadak tea was spot on with the right amount of sweetness and tea decoction to milk ratio (a good kadak should be less milky) and my friend too enjoyed her Sulaimani. We sat in their outdoor seating area, enjoying our tea and the nice cool evening breeze ☺
This is a great restaurant that serves wonderful fresh and delicious food. Although somewhat out of the way in Dubai, it is well worth a visit if you enjoy genuine food.
Been there .. ì had been to many restaurants in Dubai but never had such lovely non veg kerala meal at a very low price .. do not know Bout other items...
Yesterday night i had from red pepper qusais branch.i like that prawns grilled and chicken chilly fry it was awesome then staff was very friendly. keep it up
Any one can enjoy food at resonalble price in a good environment and every staff are friendly while handling customers. Restaurant for every one.
Consistent food quality and best service, authentic Indian cuisine and am a long time customer, good atmosphere also. They are hygiene conscious and banana leaf lunch is very special
That's my usual place for some Beef Fry, Naan and Parathas. Pretty decent food and service. There's even an outdoor seating available. Parking is a bit of an issue as there are limited parking spaces.
I like their pothichor that comes with traditional Kerala style curries, chutney and other sides. Even their afternoon tea is tasty. I feel they should consider increasing the quantity of chutney in the pothichor.
The lunch served on banana leaves is splendid and filling . The fish fries are outstanding . Visit this restaurent for the lunch they serves and easy on pocket .Suitable for daily lunch in Qusais .
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Dubai for dinner, really very tasty food specially their mango fish curry is delicious, good interior with very good staff, highly recommendable.
With a fine ambiance you will be happy after spicy kerala food, mouth watering food all the way from God's own country. I had my personal favourite food "Kappa Biriyani" with chicken, it's taste like heaven with a cup of hot sulaimani chaya.
They have many more items which I need to be tried (Tried their Grilled chicken, Appam & Chicken curry was also good)
It's was really a good relief....Service was excellent... hats off to the crew.
It's ambience is another good thing that makes you love the place, especially that Kathakali picture.
Yummy yummy yummy.
It was a great time been there..
This place host variety of yummy food. It serve mainly south Indian food.
We tried many items their and loved them all. Their crab curry was so good that we went twice to try.
Their thali which is availavle for lunch is good to try.
Decent food #variety#good service#acceptable ambiance still the food can taste better if they have to give a slight change in their menu which would attract the customers
Ordered Payyoli chicken fry which was ok with good quantity.... Chicken tikka masala was average..... Overall this is an average restaurant which you can always try...
nice ambience , good food
what we ordered was beef roast but its not available there at that late night
we ordered mutton roghan josh , prawns kerala spcl curry with fried coconut (teeyal) feels like homely
Always find myself in a south Indian restaurant when I crave for some DOSA 😋 but this time I thought of trying something different. As we were in Red Pepper, we decided to eat Pepper Fish + Lemon and Pepper Chicken + Butter naan + Tandoor roti.
Loved the chicken which was soft, juicy & full of flavour. The fish was good but with some more seasoning it could have been better and juicy too as it was kind of dry. Liked the idea of serving a welcome drink (grape juice).
The price was good for the quality & quantity of food that was served.
Can improve the ambience of the restaurant. And for a change the staffs were friendly which is rarely seen in any south Indian restaurants.
Most of our family birthday party treats will be here..The place might be a big cramped for a big group of people..but with people u love and good food..nothing really matters.I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The fry/tawa section is my favourite. My only bad experience here was once when my husband ordered a green channa curry :o. I wouldnt order vegetarian food from red pepper after that.
I visit this place regularly...Kerala meals in traditional style in "vazhayilla" is just one of its many attractions and its really affordable....they have a wide variety of food items and dishes ranging from seafoods, veg and non veg dishes, appam, kappa to delicious biriyani..and they serve good and affordable breakfast...and Tea is another highlight...well mannered and decent staffs deserves a special mention.
Decent enough place and pricing. We've been visiting for few years now. Also take away is reasonably faster. We love the Kerala style Tea here and is like our staple everytime we're in Qusais.
Must have is there Friday Lunch Meal (Kerala Oon).

My food blogging has taken me to write about high end posh restaurants to some luxurious fine dining, but with times often we miss to write about those places when at the crisis of not having anything at home, just dial a number to one or two particular places as my regulars.Red pepper has always help me on those days when i am bored of cooking,or there is nothing left at home or sometimes without any reason.Pegged in Al Qusais not so poshy ambiance, nor sophisticated staff but only the pocket friendly food is what matters here with the taste of Malabar (Southern India),mostly done with curry leaves and coconut and you get the hint of chilly and the famous malabari paste curry in most dishes.
Best pothi choru in this area
wow I just loved it
12 dirhams but worth it
I didn't tried a lot there because I can't resist ordering anything other than pothi choru
Tried chicken tandoori and natholi fry very nice duck roast was below my expectations
One of the best in business
Final verdict : it should be tried once
Fantastic Kerala food at this little restaurant in Qusais. Seating is limited, and since it was a special occasion (Onasadhya), people were actually cueing in and outside to get a seat and enjoy the great Vegetarian dishes on banana leave.
I don't even know what exactly it is that I've eaten, but it was great. Enjoy Red Pepper.
Visited Red Pepper (RP) this weekend for lunch.I ordered for Veg Meals & my daughter ordered Egg Peas Masala with some Chapattis as she was not very keen on meals (maybe to overcome the challenge of being awake in her tuition classes :) . Meals come with Rice (option of Kerala rice & white rice), Sambar, 2 dry sabzis (it was cabbage & mixed veg sabzi similar to avial), raita, red chutney, papad, pickles & Payasam with rasam and butter milk kept in small jugs on the table. Food was good & liked the sambar , rasam and the butter milk. Egg Peas Masala was also good and something different. I assumed it shall be Egg masala with some green Peas thrown in but it was actually more of peas with beaten egg added in & had a good taste. chhapati was just average (more of maida & less of wheat flour)Service was quick & pricing reasonable (veg meals cost AED 10 which is worth the money paid)Parking is available but shall be a challenge on weekends due to presence of other restaurants - Kamats, Amrutha in the vicinity.Till then Happy Eating & Happier Living ...
Had to delete my earlier review and write a fresh one since my opinion about this branch has changed for the good. My earlier review was not positive unfortunately.
This place has been recently renovated and hence there is much more seating space now. We went in for meals on a friday afternoon.
The meals comes with red Kerala rice, sambar, beans side dish, a potato and lady's finger curry, payasam, pappad, pickle, raw mango chutney(WOW). Rasam and moru(butter milk) were kept on the table.
The sambar was the best bit, tasted really fresh and like as though the masalas were freshly grounded. Also the wheat payasam was really good.
Service was prompt, parking available in plenty and for 10 DHS/ veg meal its a steal!
Visited the restaurant after its renovation. Very spacious with a good ambience for family dining. I highly recommend all their fish dishes and beef curry. The chapatis and parathas served were absolutely delicious and one thing highly improved is the customer service. Very prompt, quick and efficient. Overall it's a good place to be with your family on a weekend
All renewed and improved... Really luv the new upgrades done in the restaurant. Very clean and peaceful place to hav food with family.. A big list of dishes and we ordered fish.. Sheri is the best dish we had there... Curry was little less spicy may be its bcoz we didn't mention it while ordering.. After all it is gud having our lunch there... But really after the upgrades shud visit this place
If you are an indian you will love this place. But the restaurant have only limited seats so we where sitting out side, but we enjoyed a lot sitting out side
The food was good. Had neymeen pollichathu, beef coconut fry, egg roast, parotta and appam. All were good.
If you are looking for Kerala spicy food it is a good choice. Kappa and fish curry was very good. Gobi Manchurian need to be more crispy. Beef coconut fry tasted average to us. There was lot of noise from the party hall which irritated us. As this hall is open, guests need to be responsible or hotel to implement rules and regulations while booking the facility. Else there may be less regular customers.
