Dropped in after a big meal at Crab Market (DIFC) for dessert. Saw a lot of people posting the milk cakes from It’s A Grind + Nasser is a die hard fan of milk cakes (like any self-respecting local...🙄😂) so of course it was inevitable we would try their Saffron Milk Cake. Texture of the sponge was light and airy (but not the best). Milk mixture was extremely street - cringe worthy kind of sweet. Saffron notes were very pronounced though. Overall we still prefer L’eto’s and Bertin’s.

Happy eating 🌷
Milk Cakes - A golden trend and homeland pride!

Housed in the quiet elitness of Wasl Vita, this little coffee shop serves up the standard succulence of any Dubai milk cake. It was just right- a portion that's the perfect size for one so I wouldn't think of sharing no matter how nice the date. Rather than being served drowning in a luscious milky soup, this one just dipped in its body in it. The black coffee was the apt dark suitor. With a less hefty tag than other milk cakes cousins in the area, I'll definitely come back for seconds.

This one is like a late review, very late in fact!

Bought a Lotus Milk Cake for my wife last year in Nov 2017. Although, it cost me a kidney (AED 450/-) the cake was a hit amongst our guest. Everyone loved and so did the birthday girl - my wife ;)

It comes pre-cut in to 12 pieces with a glass tray and a lid that is for you to keep. They give extra sauce - a mixture of 3 milk along with the cake which I think is needed as the cake soaks most of the milk which is in the tray.

Chef Ron - who baked the cake was kind enough to give me a cappuccino and a Choco chip cookie complimentary while I waited for the cake. I am a huge cookie fan and I loved the cookie - it was soft and chewy at the center and crunchy at the side - just the way I like it! Cappuccino was made with medium roast beans and it was quite nice.

Thank you Team and thank you Chef Ron.

It's a nice happy place to enjoy evening coffee. They have varieties of coffee. Cappuccino was the best. Enjoyed my evening coffee with tasty cookies. Lovely ambience.

“Its A Grind Coffee House” is such a happy fun place to grab a quick drink & snack.
The staff are singing whilst doing their work which is lifting to my day.
The herbal tea’s and cappuccinos are wonderful. The Mediterranean pitta pocket is fresh and filling (my personal weekly fix).
The menu is good with snacks, mains, sweets, cakes, pastries etc all at a very average price.
With many coffee shops & restaurants to choose from at the mall I choose this every time.
Clean & friendly no doubt.

Last weekend I visited on this cafe with my frnds
They really appreciate the surroundings & the environment of the cafe.
And the best thing is that it is non alcoholic place ❤️
We love the taste of food we order.
I first got to know about Éclair La Petite Duchesse when they sent me a mini box of their delicious Éclairs. My family and I loved the divine tasting Éclairs and we finished them off in a few minutes. Now we know where to order Éclairs when we are craving for it. This Saturday when I was in City Walk Dubai to attend an event, I decided to visit Éclair La Petite Duchesse’s boutique. ...

Just happened to cross this place on a random day. Its a nice place and their menu is huge. They have juices to coffee to sandwiches to desserts. I opted for a take away milkcake. I asked the staff to help me decide and she suggested the original milk cake. It was simple amazing. I'm surely going back to try more.
Rahul M Amrita Matlani

Decent café offering the regular stuff. We ordered for an Americano and a chocolate milkshake and got chatting and sipping as the time and words flew by. Walked out feeling refreshed after some good coffee and chat. 👍

So happened to cross by this cafe at Wasl Vita Mall in Jumeirah and I happen to try their milk cake. They had huge variety in flavours but I chose the original, it was superb and I'm definitely going back to try all the other flavours. Rohit Matlani Amrita Matlani

good place for cakes and coffee, good service, i did not like the indoor seats layout not really good for a person with family i wish they place a type plants or patricians to enhance the customers privacy

I visited Its a Grind for coffee and desserts in the evening, they have a nice seating area on the terrace (for winter time) and their indoor seating is good as well.

I had a Caffe Latte which has a good flavor but a bit light for me and their classic milk cake which was too sweet for my taste but good overall.

The service provided was really good.

I do always visit the cafe because it serves the best milk cake in town with many flavors. And i like their Saudi qahwa, i think they prepare it better than the emarati qahwa.
Foodi_ELLE_cious
They have a pretty good variety of cake... tried their nice 👍 yummy milk cake 🍰 for take away... so far it's satisfying... a must visit place if you're craving for sweets.

Had the best waffles from this cafe. Crispy and perfectly cooked topped with Chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Coffee was decent one too. Will definitely go back and try their crepes.

Stepped into this place at 12 in the night to satisfy a craving for something sweet so everything that we tried here was only from the dessert menu. We a rose milk cake, a lotus cheese cake and a crepe with Nutella and Strawberries. The first two were fairly unique ones and quite nice too. Rose milk with the cake was a nice touch with the right amount of sweet. The crepe was okay too.. as good as it could get that is. :)
Saeed Al-Suwaidi
Great coffee with a menu that's always expanding including breakfast items and arabic sweets, but it's all about the coffee. Their coffee is really good and roasted to dark perfection.
Nawwaf Al Harmi
It is good place for a simple cafe for a peaceful coffee and dessert. You can enjoy the Waffle and the crape that they have. The design and the decor of the is cafe is wonderful.
Riham Helmi
Very nice place for dessert... I loved all the desserts I have ordered form thier ..we got waffles nutella cake; carrot cake and cheese cake and Nutella crepe and good cold coffee as well ... however the disappointment was in the service too slow and careless waiters and the serving of the items in the plate is toooo poor !!!
AMZ
They have the best lotus & milk cakes ever. A must try. Every thing else is just as average as any other coffee house in dubai. I recommend you to have the lotus cake & the milk cake.

Extremely disappointing!
One of the worst waffle I've had. Its soft and seems like I'm eating a pancake, rather than a waffle where you expect a bit of crispness on outside and a bit softer inside. It's feels as though the batter consistency and the way it's cooked does not seem right. The cafe offers a huge variety of pancakes, crepes, waffles and cakes - sounds fab, but I was disappointed with everything I ordered - ice coffee was too sweet and too rich, goats cheese and spinach crepe did not come with goats cheese but some other substitute cheese and the waffle with ice cream was a big let down.
The menu showed "goats cheese and spinach crepe" which sounds divine - ordered that and the "Chef" said we changed the cheese . I would probably enjoyed it and be more impressed if they had kept it to goats cheese.

One of the best cafes to be, this one was a new find for me. The staff is really sweet and helpful, we ordered the Nutella Kunafa cake and morrocan tea. The nutella kunafa cake was amazing and the best one I have had so far, although a bit expensive. The morrocan tea was great too! Although there were many other things we would want to try out from them, if it's your first time Ill highly recommend these 2 to try out. Im definitely going to go back soon!

"Its A Grind" a cool cafe that opened lately in alwasl vita. Their stuff are friendly and kindly, they serve the food and drink in good way. You should try two lovely things in the menu firts their kunafa honestly "Nutella kuanfa with pisatcho ice cream" and "Sweet morrocon tea" it makes you feel happy and relax while you're tasting☕️.

I like it so much because its so clam and the staff were so friendly
I have tried a nuttela kunafa and turkish coffee
Both were so nice (9/10)
Maya
Went there for desert and was so disappointed. We chose the crepes. It was served one after the other 7to8min in between each crepe. It was bland and barely any stuffing in it. Even on our way out we observed other customers asking for extra Nutella.

Stopped by this place in the small AlWasl Vita mall. Very good ambiance and service. I tried their Konafa (added pistachio icecream topping) and chocolate souffle, both were not in the menu and tasted good except the souffle wasn't kept enough to heat and thicken. The Saudi arabic coffee was light and as desired. It's a California based coffee house and worth a try.

Excellent coffee. Enjoyed the solitude and attention of the staff. It's in the relatively new Al Wasl Vita mall that hosts a few more coffee shops.

The staff is very obliging and will serve you an extra helping of their freshly made cookies.
Saeed
Place is mostly empty and not lively. Coffee was average.
Komal
The Kraqueline I had was actually highly pleasing. It had a rich blend of chocolate mousse on the outside and ferraro flavoured cake in the inside. The price was okay, but I would definitely go for it again.

It's a Grind is in the new-ish Wasl Vita. It's pretty spacious and seems like it would be a chill place to hang out. Upon entering, the staff were cheerful and eager to help. Not being hungry, we opted to share a Just Plain Good Waffles and got an Affogato and Chamomile Tea to go with it.

The waffles, while not fancy, are quite fantastic. Simple, crispy-edged waffles with an abundant amount of butter, syrup, and dollops of cream. Besides tasting great, they're only 18 dhs. What a steal!

My affogato was pretty straight forward, vanilla ice cream and espresso. It's nice that the ice cream didn't completely melt right away. The wife enjoyed the tea and we both left happy.

I agree, from a previous review, their cake/dessert selection does need an upgrade. If you don't like what you see, try the waffles.
Saeed Almheiri
The coffee is extremely bad, the taste of the vanilla latte had no taste at all!
The ambience is really quite and there was only background music which was fine.

I hope they change the coffee though.
Never coming back here again until they do.

The best coffee I've had in Dubai after a long time. The latte' was perfect. The chocolate banana berry waffle was yummy, great value ***** The service was great. It's sad people still don't know the place.I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
The Coffee Guy
A very disappointing experience. The coffee beans used don't compare to similar establishments. The Barista was not trained. The order taken was incorrect ( two drinks for three people, not queried). A flat white was thought to be a vanilla latte with " the foam scraped off". Coffee was served in cups without saucers. The temperature was good but the milk texturing was non existent. The coffee machine used is of a worlds best quality so the fault I expect is with the franchise and quality control. To be fair it's neat , well appointed, and very clean. However with "the coffee club" a few feet away I don't expect this franchise to make the cut in today's demanding environment. The clue should have been that it was completely empty.

Its a grind is one more outlet at the by now famous Al Wasl facility. An excellent space to meet and greet friends and family. Nice decoration, plenty of natural light, good service, and easy access. So, where is the problem, the problems stays on the offer for eating, poor, and with no much convincing display of cakes. And of course the beans, when your business is coffee based, those beans have to be near perfection, and that means, you need to look for top of the range ones.
Good service, good place, needs better coffee, and better cakes.

New selection of cakes have arrived, and it is getting better and more attractive, terrace is also opened. Well done.
