This place is a hidden breakfast gem in dubai marina! Must try is they Almond crossiant and eggs benedict!
very nice location inside the manzil souk old town with ample seating available
Freshly prepared salads and apetizers served alongwith the fresh and crispy bakery stuff
We enjoyed the donuts as well
recommended for an enjoyable brunch too
A quite morning, when I was needed a good heart full breakfast after one hour swimming in morning cool pool.
Very good ambiance.
Good Service
English Breakfast, Fried Eggs, Beef Bacon, Baked Beans and Bread. Enough to enjoy my first meal of day.
Could not resist fresh smell of Donuts for home.
One of my favorite places in Dubai and because Souk Al Bahar is not currently open we go to Souk Al Manzil .
The staff are great and the food quality top notch . I was a little disappointed today when I was informed they didn’t have Almond Milk 🥛 or any other non lactose alternative due to non receipt from supplier . I mentioned that they should be able to provide a substitute in this day and age despite the fact that their original supplier can’t . ( especially that there is even a Spinneys opposite!) . A few minutes later I was informed they could give me soya milk - thank you 🙏
The pancakes 🥞 were delicious and served piping hot . Portion was generous and two of us shared . Nice side of goji berries and chia seeds .
Highly recommend! ❤️
While we are spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast, one can't help but go back to Baker and Spice.
The award-winning restaurant has been around for over a decade serving scrumptious food which is organic and locally sourced.
While there are multiple branches all over Dubai, the downtown branch is a personal favorite. The ambience is inviting, spacious and most importantly, it is quiet and peaceful during early mornings.
We had their Signature Shakshouka which is a traditional Mediterranean breakfast dish. The tomato-based dish was full of potent flavours and the dried chilli flakes gave the added spice to the dish. We requested the eggs to be medium done and they prepared the eggs just as requested. The runny yolk complemented the tomato dish well giving the dish an overall lively and spicy flavour.
The restaurant is not only popular for its breakfast menu but also for its healthy selections and bakery items.
Overall a great place to visit for fine quality food
Quality of service: Great
Vibe: Good
Recommendations: I had tried the French toast from here and it was quite a lovely breakfast that we have had and would come back next time to try something new
Small classy dine in area, good service, i would say it is the tastiest healthy home food like place to eat, food is cooked daily and you get to choose like a buffet but with limited amount, very tasty salads and all food generally, main issue that it is pricey for the portion, portion needs to be doubled to have an average price otherwise it is expensive
I love coming here , breakfast is whatever to me but love getting lunch here it’s a bit expensive which I don’t like but come once in a while to enjoy myself.
Dishes ordered:
Appetizers : muffins cake and avocado taste
Sweet dishes -
Hot chocolate.
Cuisine :
French.
Ambience/ Arrangements : quite simple and huge dine in space.
Pricing : reasonable.
Quality / Quantity. : mature qty
Service : varies
Presentation : quite simple and common
Speciality : toast
Over all rating : silver medal.
The quality of the food is just so good - it’s like eating at a chef’s home. Nothing here feels processed or mass-produced - it’s honestly like you’ve been welcomed into somebody’s loving household and feed good, solid nourishing food. It’s like a good old comfy hug.
The only caution I’d offer is that you need to give yourself time when you visit B&S. Nothing is rushed, which supports my view on the freshness of the food, but it can tend to feel like inattentive service at times. Nothing major, but just enough to be noticeable.
If you visit early on a Friday morning, they’ll have fresh, light donuts - definitely a reason to visit!
Decent menu with vegetarian options. The food is not bad but tend to be inconsistent and on the greasy side. While the staff turnover is not high, the service quality can be friendlier and better
This place is amazing! I just love the selection of their breakfast items, their pastries are amazing I can never choose between them. This time I fell for the pink and purple CRONUT, delicious.... perfect pairing with my cappuccino. 5 out of 5 for everything!! 💕
Great place. Food is top. Staff are great.
The staff helped seat us quickly even when the place was packed.
Majestic ice tea is great.
Pastries are fresh and amazing. Try the cronut and also lemon curd pastry. Wow.
It's a unique cafe and bakery, a concept coming from UK. They focus on organic and fresh ingredients. I like a good variety at this particular location. Tried it in holiday times. Got some individual Victorian Sponge cake and some croissants to go. They were all ok to good but nothing outstanding! I enjoyed the spinach and artichoke savory danish which was quite unique. Victoria Sponge cake was a little dry though. Location is ideal!
I'm a huge fan of Baker and Spice!!
I love their fresh and healthy food...which is sooo yum and they have lots of variety too.
I visited their Downtown Dubai branch in Al Manzil and had:
Chicken Schnitzel
Arabian Sea prawns
Rose and cardamom panacotta
As usual everything was so delicious!
Their staff is well informed and polite. Their service is excellent.
Prices are slightly high but definitely worth the experience and taste!!
Good food, good service. Generally quick in delivering the order. Absolutely looooove their fresh baked bread & pastry selection. Also like their salad varieties. I usually go here for breakfast/ brunch & my favorite is the shakshouka & the sausage.

I think this is good place to eat healthy and nice. I ordered egg Benedict with avocado and brown toast its not on the menu I don't know why . In fact i was planning to ordered shakshola but i found for two person i asked if that can be done in one small pan but has no option. I like when i asked for topasko and was not available i asked why they said its healthy organic stuffs and ingredients
This place always surprise me
Most tables are always taken
Though I don't like food in a buffet style but this place has the flavors and it's has its charming personality
I love the fresh baked bread with crazy flavors and salads are really good
Great place for a healthy breakfast. The green shakshouka was a great dish. Coffee was also good. Service is prompt and maintained very well by the staff. Parking is free under Manzil hotel for 2 hours.
Really nice cafe in Souq Al Bahar with amazing views of the Dubai Fountain. Really nice ambience and friendly staff make Baker and Spice welcoming. Exceptional food and service at good value for money.
Beautiful place with a seating outside the shop but inside the Souq Al Manzil. They have an excellent range of salads, healthy eats, pastries and cakes. We had the Chicken spicy sausage with moong and Chocolate Obsession cake. Very delicious. Bit pricy. Friendly staff.
The Turkish eggs and shakshouka are amongst the favourite dishes for breakfast. The salad from the counter is always fresh and tasty. Im a big fan of Baker n Spice!
I have been there many times and I really do like the concept and the spirit of Baker and spice.
Their Salads from the counter is really good ! Everything I ve tried there is good, and I ve brought people with me many times who were happy to discover the place and enjoyed their food too.
My only drawback is about the staff, either slow or not very helpful ... It always seems that you've got a waiter either new to the concept or not exactly enthusiastic about it. I feel like being served by robots.
Visited Baker and Spice one afternoon in the middle of what you call the "Dubai Winter" for a hot drink. The place had a great spot in Souk Al Bahar, I sat outside the terrace afront the view of the Dubai Mall Fountain, right in front of the one skyscraper you can never really not see when you're Downtown.... the Burj Khalifa. It's a good place to chill, it's not too quiet as few steps from the terrace is the walkway where tourists stop for pictures. But it's still a chill place, I got to stay for a good 2 hours reading a book peacefully. Staff were attentive to their customers tho I sat at the far end of the terrace it was easy calling their attention. I'm not a coffee drinker so as always I asked for a Hot Chocolate. They didn't have any other type of Hot Chocolate in their Menu aside from the Mexican Hot Chocolate. The waiter gave me a heads up that I might not like it cause it's Mexican. Tried it anyway & I regret it. I suggest you don't order a Mexican Hot Chocolate unless you really know what it is.
This place is always a delight. The decor is cosy and the food taste homely. I sometimes go there for a chilled afternoon to have a machiatto with a sweet pastry.
Spice It Up With Sam
+4.5
Went for breakfast and loved the place. The views from the souk al bahar outlet are brilliant as well. Really liked the shakahuka matbuka. Definite repeat value !!

I am a frequenter at this restaurant, mostly because it's like home food and healthy. I always order from the buffet, my favorite is the avo salad and the meatballs/spaghetti/mash. Their banofee is definitely worth the calories 😉
Baker and spice is a great place for some home style food.
I actually have two ratings for this place.
Lunch I would rate this place 4 out 5 the salads are fantastic and my favorite is the crispy chicken.
Breakfast I really did not enjoy my omelette feta and spinach was not nice at all the flavors of the feta was not what I expected I would rate it 1.5 out 5.
Therefore overall go for it at lunch time as its great all the food is Layed out !
Constantly good I love all the food there especially the collection of different salads. The atmosphere is also amazing especially the view of the waterfront in dubai mall .
Very good option for an easy lunch and a good coffee, even though quite expensive..
Free wifi in the area and supermarket close to the restaurant
My go to place for organic delicious food! I am thrilled that they are officially opening in Town Center Jumeirah. It never disappoints and I love when they have a good selection of seafood.
Pretty nice place to grab breakfast!small quite outlet that you can enjoy tasty dishes.their products are of good quality but they do not offer a breakfast package this is the reason of not getting 4.0.It does worth a visit :)
.....they are undoubtedly one of the healthiest restaurant in town.
Their menu has superb wide selection of healthy foods made of fresh, seasonal, locally and organically grown ingredients.
We tried their salads at the counter of which you have the liberty to choose up to three varities which is a great option, organic chicken soup that comes with complimentary freshly bake bread and spaghetti meatballs -everything tasted great, impressive and tasteful. Hence, just one thing we can not find --having a gluten free in their menu plan. The price is on higher side but totally worth it!
The ambience is outstanding ---clean, tidy and peaceful. They have great location with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the spectacular view of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai fountain.
Service is excellent; staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive.
To sum it all, they do have great food plus excellent service coupled with great ambience and location equals great dining experience. Hope to come back for more! :)
We stopped by here for a quick coffee on a Saturday morning. It was kinda quiet but I think this place would have a great vibe in the winter. The granola and Danish were delicious. Definitely worth a try for their lunch menu as well
My favorite place if I just wanna have something light. Their salad bar is quite delightful and the cheesecake it's one of the best I tried.
The best food in town. The coffee is too bitter for my taste. But the food is always nothing short of perfect. The only thing missing from my visits to baker and spice is soup and raw vegan salads (all vegan salads I see there have cooked eggplants or something akin to it). When it comes to main courses, a lamb dish is a must on my visits. The last time I was there I went for Iftar and enjoyed the best spaghetti and meatballs I've had in my entire life.
Love the salad bar they serve here!! Everything looks good, but sadly the portion a bit small 😅. Coffee was not bad. The serve healthy stuff here which is best!! I just tried their omelette!! Best ive ever tried so far!! Yummeehhh!! And i had the carrot cake as well which is just okayy. A bit sweet for a carrot cake. But the french toast was the bomb!!! Love it!
The Dukkan Manzil branch is an institution, consistently delivering delicious hearty cooked meals and excellent service. One of the very few restaurants in Dubai that truly care about being part of the community and treat their customers like family. This branch in particular has daily changing dishes in addition to their normal menu and is by far my favorite branch. Everything in the display counters tastes amazing!
Every Baker & Spice location is spectacularly unique. The cafe in Al Manzil has a strong sense of community. The staff seem to know most of the patrons, the management seem to be around most of the time, they're equipped with a small but sufficient selection of wooden toys to entertain children and their salads remain their bestsellers.
The Manzil kitchen is supposed to serve up food depending on the season and it does so with an ever-changing daily menu. There's not always a whole lot of choice of mains for VeggieCow, but the salad bar is seriously good value and the desserts are wonderful. Is it expensive? Depends on what you expect out of a resto. VeggieCow would prefer to eat less, but eat well. And know it's good food that's treated right.
I love the food here, it's mostly organic, healthy and nutritious, but that's my think, most of you might not like it ? . I love the desert here too and the drinks are very nice
loved everything food from a to z service welcome, although i am fan of soft drinks they didnt allow us to buy from outside coke and even dont want us to show because it is an healthy cuisine. the food was craving also the dessert ? incredibly insane.
Small friendly deli located in a resident souk at Al Manzil, perfect for takeaway but also seats a few tables. Typically serves 'healthy organic, fresh, local fodder' & freshly baked hot breads as the name rightly suggests. The diverse menu & the rotation of the dishes every day makes it a delightful treat for the customers to revisit. The food itself taste just perfect, not adapting to any particular region, yet serving dishes from around the world. Baker & Spice is definitely a love affair with food but ... an expensive one. Though the quality & variety make it totally worth it!
Awesome place to be at, feels like eating home,Fresh food, Fresh salads, fresh breads with wide variety selection, great variety of deserts l, healthy, organic, local produce l, excellent service, and kids friendly.
Beautiful location facing the Dubai mall fountain.I would definitely recommend this place if you all have guests over as the view is amazing.Everything is served fresh here.the salads are a absolute must and their Dessarts are delectable.
The restaurant with the orchids and a warm feeling
Craving fresh food I want to have the fresh salads from the salad bar .. The salads are very refreshing with I testing flavour combinations like the pomegranate with couscous or the wild rice salad is also interesting ..
Had carrot cake for the desserts .. Not bad ..
Went to this place for breakfast. It was an interesting but a slightly odd experience. Ordered the english breakfast, (2 eggs, 2 sausages, half a tomato, a small portion of baked beans and some toasted bread). I was asked how i wanted the eggs, so I said scrambled which the waiter said was not possible, it's either sunny side up or a full fry. I mean, do you not have the technology to scramble eggs? Or are you guys trying to fleece your customers?
My friend ordered a mushroom omlette which was definitely very good and worth the money.
Additionally, we were told that they had gluten free options as well but the waiter flat out denied having these items on the menu. Perhaps, we were misinformed.
Positives -
Great location and view
Quality of food was good
Beef sausages were brilliant
Negs -
Slightly Pricy
English breakfast was a let down
Service was average
Overall, the place is worth a try but I would not come back.
A concept cafe cum restaurant with a gorgeous location in Souk Al Bahar where you can experience the gorgeous Dubai fountains with a stunning backdrop of Burj Khalifa - this is definitely a restaurant where I take my guests for a 'dine with a view experience without burning the pocket'. The concept of ‘organic’ food or ‘locally produced’ fresh produce is gaining awareness in Dubai only recently, but what is commendable about Baker & Spice is that it has been committed to supporting local and organic farmers, even when the concept itself was new to many of us in Dubai. So was the concept of a ‘changing’ menu, depending upon the seasonal fresh organic fruits and vegetables that can be procured from the local farmers. Of course, their Shakshouka is legendary but that shouldn't be the only thing that one should try from the menu. Almost every dish that is served seems like it has been cooked at home... for example, the 6 hour slow cooked lamb steak with mashed potatoes on the side.
Their philosophy – local, organic, fresh and homemade – rules the Baker & Spice kitchen. The restaurant is concerned with ethical procuring of spices and believes in fair trade. Do read this interesting story on my blog about how Baker & Spice made a trip to Rajasthan along with Down to Earth Organic, just to meet the farmers!
