It was during Eti Salat Beach Canteen that I met Yumtingz. I must admit that during such events it is very difficult to keep the quality and to manage the guests in the right and correct manner due to the number. When I saw the management was not bad at all and the quality of the burger was intriguing, I decided to pay a visit to them once again when they were in Emirates Golf Club. The burger was again as tasty and jucy as it has to be. It seems I will be folling this truck more for their burgers :) It is not the best burger that I ate; but it is worth the value when you consider price-value ratio.

Get to know me better through my Instagram: @xotina143 My review for Yumtingz – Discovered this place at the Etisalat Beach Canteen during the Dubai Food Fest, and this food truck had some interesting food choices. I love the traditional Vietnamese banh mi as it is close to my heart since my parents are from South East Asia. The banh mi served here is not authentic, of course, but it was not too bad. I got the tofu banh mi and the presentation of it was okay to look at. The cucumbers hanging out of the bun was a bit annoying as it kept falling out. It would have been better if it was cut into a long thin slice instead like how the cucumbers in the real banh mi sandwiches are like. The tofu was nice and firm but could have used more marinating on it as mine were a little plain. This food truck deserves a rating of 3.5/5. I ordered the tofu banh mi for 30DHS. The pricing of the dishes here was on average of what you would expect from a food truck. The service was good where the server was able to greet us warmly when we approached the truck. He was able to recommend popular dishes and was patient with us. The food was ready in about 10 minutes which was a little slow for the food truck world. The ambience of the food truck was eye catching where the outside was black in colour and the bright light from the inside made it easy to see. The interior of truck looked organized and clean.

The menu itself is simplistic and while sometimes that is a good thing, that is not necessarily the case here. While I understand that the restaurant itself may serve a different menu then what was served at food truck over at Etisalat Beach Canteen, the quality that I had wasn’t that impressive enough for the restaurant to be successful. The restaurant has only been open for a couple of months I believe and it will be interesting to see if they can survive the first year that is often make or break for most restaurants.

We tried the beef burger (yummy though the meat was a wee bit dry) which comes with a slice of beetroot and very tasty cheddar-like cheese slice. The chicken burger was also good and juicy, and comes with a slice of pineapple.

Camel Burger was extremely good, I was super skeptical at first before trying a camel burger but I can safely say now that I hope all camel I try in the future tastes as good as this. Truffle fries were also a plus, the toppings really covered all the chips and the truffle flavor was present but not overwhelming. I can't say I enjoyed the burger bun though. All in all, would recommend and eat again.

Tired it for the first time at The food truck Emirates Golf club while at work there. I did really enjoy the burger with beet in it which was actually really tasty and it added something different to the flavor. Good size of burger and fries. Might visit the restaurant itself someday soon.

HANDS DOWN the best burger in dubai! If you get chance to try these guys go for the beef burger, Yumtingz fries and a Passiona. Truly a wonderful combination!

In Search Of Brunch

I was at the Truckers DXB event at the Emirates Golf Park, and one of the food trucks was by Yumtingz. Went for the classic beef burger and parmesan truffle fries. The burger disappointed on all levels. In a city where there is a new burger concept opening every week, the last thing we needed was a bad burger.

Tried their beef burger last day at Hangry Hangar [located at Warehouse Four in Al Quoz]. Initial bites gave a feeling that the tomato relish was going to kill all the meaty/cheesy flavor, but it [surprisingly!] kept getting better as the bites progressed. [P.S: The burger keeps falling apart if you do not use both hands..unless well, you're an expert burger-eater like me ;)]. The fries are really good too. We went to Hangry hangar and tried their beef burger (which comes with regular fries) and Yumtingz Parmesan & truffle fries. The beef was fresh,juicy, and deliciously spiced, blending perfectly with the sauces. The herbs were there but the main taste was the beef itself - just the way I like it. The truffle fries were delicious, though a little overpowering. But we mixed regular fries with them and it was perfect Unlike the reviews below, I found the quantity ok-ok. Not humungous etc. Or maybe I eat aot :)Its decent for 1 person. As they are mobile, I dont have much to comment on the ambience. But do try them if you spot their food truck. Enjoy!

So apparently these guys don't have a fixed location and only come when you call them for private events and I hate that. I had the pleasure of trying out their burgers today at the Ramadan Rumble at my gym today and these guys are amazing! I really loved their passiona drink and the Yumtingz fries. If you ever spot them do try them out.

I tried this Food Truck at the Emirates Golf Club 'Food Truck Jam'. Put bluntly, this was the best Food Truck out of all the others. Ordered their Chicken Burger which was fabulous and not to forget huge! Also tried their Passiona and Basil Mango which were both terrific. What I loved most about this establishment was that their provided value for money good quality food with a very helpful staff and I definitely won't mind eating here again if I am fortunate enough to encounter seeing their Food Truck.

Yumtingz food truck was in Jebel Ali (JAFZA) along with other trucks and I tried their burger and fries... First of all, the fries was something very different than any other burger joint. There was this very yummy flavor in it. Could be the seasoning I assume. The burger patty was good and the toppings were very fresh, especially the beetroot which took me by surprise! I also tried the Mango-Basil juice which is a must-try in my view. All in all, very good concept and will for sure visit them again to try different meals.

Was the only food truck with an appetizing vegetarian option at the Truckers Event at Emirates Golf Club. We ordered a Veg Burrito and fries and it was seriously amazing! You wouldn't believe it was vegetarian ;) The fries were great too, super crisp and perfectly seasoned. They portions are decently sized as well. Service was speedy, and the ordering experience was decent. Looking forward to visiting Yumtingz again!

I attended their food truck in the event Eat the world DXB and tried their beef burger. It was delicious. Beef was so tender and juicy, portion size is good too. Overall an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this place to all the burger junkies out there .

Once we entered al barsha park, food market i couldnt but notice the cool van of Yumtingz. So we stood in line and waited for our turn. One major issue is that you cant hear when your order is ready because they do not have a suitable system to inform you, however their burger was great, and the staff there were super cool and friendly!

Visited the Yumtingz food truck when they were located at the StreetNights Festival at JBR. It had a very carribean feel to it and was most certainly the best looking, tempting food truck in the vicinity. We checked out the menu and decided to order the Mexican Chicken Burrito. It was humongous. So huge that is heavy for just the two of us. Loaded with chicken in a mexican sauce, caramelized onions, capsicum and lots and lots of black beans. The black beans were sort of a turn off for me personally since I'm not a huge fan of anything beans. But other than that pretty good for a food truck.

My friend and I got to try Yumtingz on the weekend whilst it was stationed at JBR as apart of the #StreetNights festival. Being the most appealing food truck in the line up, we grabbed a seat and placed our order. Between us we ordered: Beef Burger - My friend enjoyed it - no complaints there Mexican Chicken Burrito - It was a huge portion size, I ate it all but nothing memorable about it. Have had better Burritos from Taqado. Parmesan truffle fries - Overpowering for my friend who's never experienced the truffle flavor before. Sweet potato fries - Delicious and crunchy with the perfect amount of salt. Roseberry - My friend also seemed to enjoy this sweet cranberry and rosemary drink. Ginger Ninja - The ginger was very overpowering and IMO 19dhs was a bit steep for the portion size. At least I can tick this place off my food truck list. If you're game, this place also serves camel burgers.

The first time in my life that I actually had food and said it was "the best I've ever had" I tried their Chicken burrito which was absolutelyyyyyy heaven!!! The portion is huge, I shared it with my friend! And they have the BEST fries you'd ever ever try in your life! Parmesan cheese fries! TO DIE FOR. It comes with the guacamole sauce, garlic mayo and also ketchup. Their camel burger is very good aswell, but personally..I don't like burgers so probably recommend it to a burger fan. And I tried their juice..ginger ninja! SOOOO refreshing!! And their ice coffee I think it was called "bus brew" was so good! It had a coconut mix in it! (Only if you were a fan of coconut and coffee) Alsoooooo their chocolate milkshake was to die for!!!! Honestly speaking, BEST food in town!!!!! Literally value for money and quality is super! Just like home food. The staff is suuuuper friendly & nice & their atmosphere is always nice! Too bad they don't have a fixed outlet, but you can always follow them on Instagram to know where they are located next!
