We go to The Market very often but we never noticed this cute cozy cafe, Vinkers Waffles tucked away in the corner. The inside seating is limited but you can sit outdoors with the soothing view of the lake.<br/><br/>This place serves the best Belgian waffles I have ever had. They are crisp outside and so soft inside. So weekend morning waffles craving brought us to this place. Though was little difficult for us to locate but search worth it. <br/>Tried mini pancakes - yummy must try followed by waffles with whipped cream. Taste upto mark. Ambience- small and beautiful with multiple entertainment options like books and games for kids.

Always been a loyal customer of Vinker Waffles, a traditional Dutch Cafe thats tucked away at Green Community Market at DIP. The only proper dutch shop that we can find in Dubai. Friendly staff and with a nice cute cafe set up where they also sell Dutch sweets and crafts. We keep on coming back for their famous Bitterballen (ooooh yes please!!!), Pofferjes (Dutch Mini Pancakes) and of course their yummy Hutspot. We will never get tired of ordering the same food and it makes my fiancé feel close to home! A well deserved 5🌟 for 🇳🇱 snacks!

We went for mini pancakes with banana and Nutella and the second one was mini pancakes with vanilla ice cream. The only thing mini about them was the size, otherwise extremely filling, satisfying and tasty 😋 . If you have a sweet tooth then the first option would suffice but if you don’t like it to be too sweet, then the vanilla one is perfect. It’s a small place with a typical living room set up, makes you feel at home. Service was a little slow but if the outcome is so yummy I don’t really mind that. I would definitely want to go back and try their waffles.

Having lived in Holland for four years bitterballen have become my addiction and there is no other snack place in the world that can make them better than Vinkers waffles! Plus their fresh stroopwaffle with a cup of coffee are super delicious. The place is cozy and away from all the daily hustle! A must have visited in dubai!

I expected a lot with this place because of the good reviews but it failed in a most sense. First the location I'm sorry for the inconvenience. At the end of the walk wherein their signage is not visible. It doesn't say any Vinkers at all. Second the staff doesn't know what their selling. I asked for a couple of things in their menu but I was given an I don't know answer. Second there's no wifi. Place looks tired too. Oh well. Good thing their small cup of coffee tastes good.

Went to Vinkers Waffles recently, small cozy place that works perfectly for me, Given that it's not a big chain helps in not being rushed to just shout out your order and move aside!!! ordered Mexican Beef Pancake and wasn't disappointed at all .... this is something i can order again and again and again! staff was friendly and most importantly had the time to explain a few item son the menus which are not common on menus around the City. Their menu overall is quiet sufficient to cater to not just the hunger but your mood as well.... i wish them all the best; i will definitely be visiting again

Best place for late breakfast. I love their bitterballen and keep coming back for more.  Their ginger lemonade is the most refreshing option for these warm days. I will definitely be back for more soon!

Popped in here for breakfast on a whim. Really adored the cute, cozy interior. It's small on the inside, but has plenty of outdoor seating. There are shelves full of books for those who wanna come in for a cup of coffee and a good read.<br/>We ordered two plates of mini pancakes (the vanilla ice cream and Nutella/banana. They are small portions, but right for its price. Also ordered a slice of Dutch apple pie. The taste was nice. The latte macchiato was really good as well. <br/>Will return again, and try something different.

I have been to this place once thanks to my sudden crazing for Waffles. Cute little cafe in DIP. Taste wise the waffles were pretty good, staff was polite. Only downside- Expensive.

The Belgian waffle was very dry and crumbled apart as you cut it. Apple pie was also dry. Didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. Location however is perfect, overlooking the lake.

For an introvert like me, this place can literally be considered as heaven. Overlooking the lake at Green Community, this place is so peaceful and is a great place just to relax yourself with a book. I absolutely love it's home-like interiors and the vibe of the place. Although the interiors are quite small, they have a large outdoor seating facility available, so it's a nice place to have a good time with your friends and family as well as you enjoy the view of the lake. <br/><br/>I liked how they served our food in the blue porcelain plates with the flags of holland, that truly did add the holland-ish (i just made that word up lol) vibes to our experience. We were in the area having lunch and then decided to get our weekend dessert fix and entered this cafe. I would like to start by how cozy and cute this place is! It's a tiny cafe by the lake and has a seating space outside as well, which is great during the good weather days. We had a good and heavy meal right before we entered this cafe, so we were loving the whole indoor seating being empty for us to be all the lazy we wanted to be! They also have a small collection of books if you're into reading. This is a great quiet place for a casual date/catch up session with a friend or even just indulging in yummy and delicious desserts to satisfy your cravings.<br/>We went for the Waffle along with a nutella topping (alot of it ofcourse!) and vanilla ice cream on the side. It was perfect! One of the best waffles I have ever eaten. I'm not a sweets person and cannot deal with overly sweet foods but this was just perfectly the right amount of sweet, not too much and not too little. I was told that the waffle stuffed with the nutella filling is also a great option to try but unfortunately, we were too full to eat anymore and decided to come back next time to give that a shot. Obviously, I will go back here and hopefully I do soon (first i need to burn the calories haha).

Heard so much about this place so visited it with friends today, the place is very cute and cozy I must say! The outside sitting is by the lake side.<br/>Now coming to food, we ordered nutella banana waffle, waffle with vanilla ice cream and cheese souffle with fries.<br/>The waffle was very disappointing. There was no crisp at all and maybe it could have been better cooked. The nutella on waffle was too little so here I stand disappointed again!<br/>The cheese souffle and fries were good. I hope they improve with the waffles!!

Have been wanting to try this place ever since I moved to the DIP area so finally today it was. Its a small hidden gem I would say, nice bright youthful orange interiors. There is a bookshelf for the older ones to browse through while sipping on coffee n munching on snacks and also some toys for the little ones to be kept engaged. <br/><br/>Coming to the food, this place serves traditional Dutch snacks. Wanted to try the Belgium waffles but it wasnt available. So instead had a dig on freshly prepared apple n cinnamon pancake, fried egg on toasted brown bread and some cranberry juice. The food was nice, pancakes were nice and soft, not too sweet. Maple syrup n powdered sugar was served seperately for those having a sweeth tooth. <br/><br/>The place is nicely located by the lake, a treat for the winter months. You can just lounge there, read a book (they have a decent collection of books which you can borrow), sip on some coffee while your lil ones can be kept busy with the line up of toys n books for them. Vinkers is a kept secret. The dutch food is amazing. Bitterballen, yummmmmmy. And the pofferjies with nutella and syrup. Small little place with alot to offer. There you can swap books to read. Play games (they have a whole cupboard full of board games).

Thought Will try it . ordered scrambled egg with cheese and ham.. it was a good portion and only disappointed was the egg was well cooked and was not fluffy simply put on the top of the bread ..but the combination was good ... nice ambience., friendly staff

Very welcoming restaurant where you could cuddle up with a book, some coffee, and a little dessert. We enjoyed trying the mini pancakes with ice cream and this was quite delicious. Vinkers is hidden away, but with my work nearby I was quite familiar with the location.

Located in DIP's the market is a cute breakfast shop where you get amazing waffles and so much more. We went there just to satisfy a waffle craving and we couldn't be happier. The ambience is nice and you feel right at home. Service is great no issues there and overall really good food. Our favorite dish was the caramel waffle. The good thing about it is that it's not too sweet or soft it's just the right amount of both. The place is nice for a snack.

This has got to be one of my favorite places in Dubai! It has the best service, ambiances, and dishes. I may be a bit subjective due to the amount of memories that were created in this place, but it certainly  a great place to go with friends. Its a little Dutch cafe/ restaurant by the lake, with an appealing seating area and a little area fit for little kids with toys, and story books. As well for adults to keep you busy while the food is being made by reading a book on the shelves or reading a magazine stood outside. Their ultimate dish is the Nutella crepe, and their glorious hot chocolate stacked with a bunch of whip creme and marshmallows - unless you don't like that and can request it without it. I have also enjoyed their Belgium waffle- but its very heavy, if your not too hungry you would love the mini pancakes that comes with either butter or Nutella. For all the Dutch people out their I'm quite sure you will feel right at home, and with great servers who are always so cheerful, respectable giving warm greetings you'll feel cosy in this little place.

Was impressed by the reviews and pictures on zomato so stopped by at 9 this morning. The place is reeeeeally small and there are only 3 tables crammed inside the rest of the seating is outdoors. Menu is small and simple. Ordered the fried eggs and scrambled eggs which were okay. The waffle was just alright. The whole experience today was pretty dull. Love this place....The mini pancakes, the eggs, the waffles - amazing! The place is cute and so comfortable. I felt like I was at home. Highly recommend it for a weekend breakfast/dessert craving. Delicious.

Last Friday I woke up craving waffles. The logical go-to place that should come to mind would be IHOP, but I remembered that we have entertainer vouchers to some place called Vinkers Waffles. One Zomato location search and 20 mins later we were on our way. <br/>The navigator effortlessly led us to DIP. As it was my first time there, I was like a pug in a tulip field when I saw that there's a lake there. I was equally delighted to see that the café had such a cosy, homey feel to it. Bookshelves where people can borrow books from, board games too play while you wait for your food. I was already glad we chose to come here! <br/>I ordered poffertjes with vanilla ice cream and a machiato.<br/>That's when it started going downhill. <br/>I began to notice the costers were dirty. <br/>My machiato came with a sippy straw, and when I tried to take a sip, I saw that the straw was clogged with coffee or chocolate or God knows what but it took great effort for me not to throw up. Thank GOD the straw didn't decide to unclog while i was suckling on it.<br/>The pancakes were actually quite cute and it really felt like I'm being served breakfast at a Dutch aunty's house. They came with some caramel sauce.<br/>Honestly though, I make better pancakes at home. Beyond looking cute, there was nothing to them.<br/>Waste of a Friday morning breakfast. Never ever again. Even with Entertainer vouchers it wasn't worth it. <br/>

Vinkers is a perfect place for a lazy Friday morning. The place alone is worth it. With a good lake view, albeit artificial. Even with kids around it doesn't feel like too much toxic.<br/><br/>There is no rush here to finish your breakfast. Grab a book, sit and enjoy your coffee. <br/><br/>As for the food, I had the belgian waffle and I am not sure if it was supposed to be soft? Maybe I just like mine a little crispy than the normal but it tastes great. Talk about a hidden gem. Vinkers is in the Green Community. It would be easy to live in Dubai and never go to this place. Do yourself a favor, make the trek and try Vinkers. It's a tiny place with only about three or four tables.<br/><br/>We had a Dutch Pancake and a Vinkers Waffle. Both were very very very awesome. The pancake (think crepe) was moist and flavorful. The simple powdered sugar and vanilla ice cream topping was outstanding. The Vinkers Waffle is a crispy, thin waffle with caramel in the middle. This is probably my new favorite thing in the whole wide world. I could've eaten five or ten of each. <br/><br/>We also had fresh juice and a cappucino. Both didn't dissapoint. I have to go back here to try more toppings on my pancake and have more and more waffles. They also sell broken Vinkers waffles in a bag to take home. Needless to say, our bag didn't make it home.

In the heart of Green Community, somewhere between the desert and the end of the world, when you nearly fall of the map is Vinkers Waffles. It's small, cozy, comfy, familiar, friendly, it's so Dutch.<br/><br/>Vinkers Waffles sports only 3 tables inside and a few high chairs at the counter. My breakfast club took two tables, leaving a young Dutch girl sharing a table with a stranger and bonding over poffertjes. They seemed ok with it. <br/><br/>I started my breakfast with homemade ginger ale, served with liquorice syrup. Liquorice is not really my cup of tea, but that ginger ale was exactly what I needed to wake up. Strong ginger taste, not a lot of sugar (awesome!) and a whole lot of lemon to balance out the ginger. It was gone in 1 minute and I could see others regretting their decision of ordering orange juice. <br/><br/>If I had one faithful companion during my 3 years in Amsterdam, one that could bring me comfort and peace, one that was widely available at all times, that was the tosti. Filled with ham and cheese and toasted to perfection, eaten with a mix of ketchup and mayo. The Dutch might not know much about food, but they do make the best tosti in the world. When I saw it on Vinkers's menu, I didn't have to think twice. Tosti it was. And a side of bitterballen. You cannot not have that. It is a must.<br/><br/>The menu at Vinkers is not large, but that's perfectly all right. My friends all went for the uitsmijter - eggs on bread. We need to have some serious, grown up food, before we dive into waffles, poffertjes, pies and pancakes.<br/><br/>When my toast arrived, I chose to block everyone out and go back a few years. Vinkers tosti is good because it took me back to my college days. It was not burned (which is a big plus, it took me months and hundreds of tostis before nailing the timing) and the cheese was melting. It was exactly right. What I missed, but it is most probably not appropriate to serve in a restaurant, is when you press the tosti with the toaster so that the cheese falls a bit on the sides and gets burned. Yes, not many people would pay for burned cheese, I get that.<br/><br/>How the tosti took me back to school, the bitterballen took me back to the streets. Pipping hot, I wish one bitterball would be the size of a football ball. Minced beef, salt, pepper, butter, parsley sometimes, rolled through egg and bread crumbs and deep fried, served with a side of mustard. Vinkers's bitterballen were great. Soft and flavourful filling, perfect crisp and super hot. Tasting them is a bliss, even without mustard. I want an "all you can eat bitterballen" deal.<br/><br/>The uitsmijter are, simply put, sunny side up eggs on toasted bread, with cheese and ham and a side of tomatoes and pickles. Uitsmijter would not have been my first choice, I would have recommended the broodje gezond, arguably once of the most "complete" sandwiches in the world (cucumber, tomato, turkey ham, cheese and mayo). The eggs were runny and softened the bread, which was very nice to taste. Mix that with pickles for acidity and you've got yourself a decent breakfast.<br/><br/>The reason why we all traveled to Green Community is the "waffle". Waffles are somehow Belgium by origin, although there is no such thing as the "Belgium waffle"; there is only Brussels waffle or Liege waffle. Anyway, Vinkers's waffle was served with powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and it was good and generous. The portion can be easily shared between two. The waffle was so tasty, even I ate a bit and I am not a big fan of waffles and chocolate-free desserts. It was sweet and fluffy and hot and golden brown and oh, so perfect! And the ice cream was melting and mixing with it and it was a dream!<br/><br/>My choice of chocolate-free dessert was the Dutch apple pie. It is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite apple pie. Why is the Dutch apple pie so different than others, you ask. Well, I don't know. It might me the abundance of apples, of cinnamon or lemon juice, of sugar and nutmeg. It might be because it's served lukewarm, with whipped cream. For me, the Dutch apple pie is a celebration of apples, is a smile, a friendly hug, a kick in the ass when feeling down. And Vinkers's apple pie does exactly that. You cannot go to Vinkers and not have apple pie. You will regret it. Take my word for it.<br/><br/>The abundance of food doesn't stop here. Poffertjes with butter and sugar and Nutella were soon brought to the table. Poffertjes are a truly Dutch dessert, similar to pancakes (but not pancakes), fluffy, small and delicate. I love them served the traditional way - topped with butter (melting from the poffertjes' temperature) and powdered sugar. They are a caloric bomb. Every time you bite into one, you quickly do the math: how many crunches do I have to do to cover for this? how many kilometers should I run?. But poffertjes are worth it. The portion is again quite generous so make sure you order them for sharing.<br/><br/>Although small and cozy, don't think Vinkers doesn't have style. Order a latte and it will be served in a double-layered glass to prevent you from burning your fingers. Dutch are known for their innovation and "early adapters" behavior and I think Vinkers is no exception from that rule.<br/><br/>If you are familiar with Holland, you will be pleased to know that original Albert Hijn products are available for purchase, as well as The Ruyter - breakfast chocolate flakes. I bought some! You can also buy a tea cups set, sporting the authentic Delft blue. And you can buy liquorice. <br/><br/>But if you don't want to spend money and you fancy reading, have a look through Vinkers's bookshelf. Feel free to take what you like, but bring it back eventually or bring another book instead. <br/><br/>Thank you and congratulations Vinkers, for being able to take me back to a place I love through a morning culinary journey.

The thing I love about Dubai is that everyday, you discover a small secret that you and a few would know about.<br/><br/>Vinkers Waffles is one of those delectable secrets. A small piece of Dutch culture, tucked away in the beautifully landscaped Green Community, offers so much to the palate and the visual.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, I have just had lunch and I was a bit disspointed to discover this Dutch place a bit too late, but I didn't care. I want WAFFLES!<br/><br/>The waffle (perfectly sized for 2 person) was placed on the table perfectly drizzled with Sugar powder, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. The instant you take a bite, the moisture of the Belgian dessert melts so enticingly on your tongue. <br/><br/>Vinkers Waffles offers other sandwiches, breakfast, drinks and desserts. <br/><br/>However, seating inside is limited (outdoors available) the decor is so adorable that you won't mind.<br/><br/>Vinkers Waffles is sooooo good that it should be illegal :)
