It's the Hidden Gem of Italian Cuisine and Media City. Every box can be checked in. Be it Ambience, Courteous Staffs, Excellent Chefs, Budget Lunch, Cozy Seating, Work at Office, Lounge Seating and Food that's the best to have and Dine on.. Breakfast is also the Best
Since me and my family sat on our dining table, the manager made sure we were take care off as a GUEST. What I loved more was there was no difference between workers and the top level. All worked in hand to hand.
Loved the work mode area which had a wooden furnishings stretching to the Lounge area. Best restaurant for brunch and relaxed vibes.
Food was very delicious..
What all was ordered were the Potato and Leek Soup. Always start the meal on a Heakthy note. Loved this Soup bombed with flavors and freshness. Salad was next the IL Lago special. Salad consisted of smoked salmon, cooked prawns, avocado, mesclun salad with greek yoghurt. A seafood salad but a very different one. Have to give a try atleast once as it's that tasty and fresh. Next was the Margherita Pizza. This is the cheeseist pizza having for the first time in Dubai. THE cheese pull was sooo drool worthy and Insta worthy. By taste the best with epic italian flavors. Shrimp Spaghetti was the pasta dish. Definitely give a try as it had the sour, spice, vegetables and seafood spiciness.
It's the climax time with the Desserts went for Cannoli Sicilian. Oh my these Cannoli consisting of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta—a staple of Sicilian cuisine.
Had an amazing weekend brunch last Friday at IL LAGO! For only 55 AED, you get to choose 5 different dishes and enjoy one drink. They food were so amazing especially the Egg Benedict over smoked salmon. The view was amazing too overlooking the man made pond. The interior was so cozy too!
There coffee was amazing as well! Definitely made my Friday brunch awesome.

Chef Andrea was very creative and amazed me with the signature dishes, I tried

Really worth it for the price, so much foods and amazing tastes. So much choices in their menu and really I recommend it. Family friendly place to recharge your Tammy with good and healthy foods. You with relax your mind with the beautiful lake view and wonderful smiling staff and big big thanks to chef Andrea as usual doing his best for his guest. Keep going guys and stay safe. ❤️❤️❤️
The joy associated with a good meal is always doubled when paired with a beautiful view. One such example of this is IL Lago by Chef Andrea. First of all, the seating was surrounded by a picturesque lake, which naturally uplifted our moods and made us fall in love with the ambiance. Then, the second time we fell in love was after trying their lunch menu. From the juicy, saucey, flavourful burgers to the delicious beverages, each and every food item was unique and bursting with flavours. Would definitely visit this place again... and again... and again.
Excellent breakfast deal, 5 items + hot drink . Perfect portion size, didn’t fee bursting after but very satisfied- stuffed croissant, omelette with halloumi and pancakes were amazing- and the granola with honey!! The team were also accommodating to my non dairy requests for some items. Only thing missing from the menu is an açaí bowl, will definitely be back!

ILLago by Chef Andrea is amazing place in CNN building in Media city. They served us authentic Italian dishes full of flavor and big serving size. Both indoor and outdoor sitting was awesome and fully crowded with happy customers. Food is amazing as Chef himself is cooking in kitchen and personally taking care of every table. Staff is kind and restaurant having great decor.

Restaurant is taking care of the highest standards of hygiene and serving food indoors and outdoors both.

Absolutely love Il Lago by Chef Andrea! Without a doubt, the best breakfast and coffee you will find in Dubai! Ingredients are fresh, tasty and well presented. Smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs, feta cheese and beetroot relish is delicious! Chef Andrea is always around to say hi and check-in on his guests, a real host who genuinely cares about his visitors. Dog friendly too which makes this restaurant a real family favourite! Thank you Chef Andrea and to you and your wonderful staff.
The place where everything was just Perfect! From food to hospitality from ambience to the menu options, everything was just Amazing! The staff was super sweet and so was the chef, he was friendly and ensured that I had the best time And food!
The place has a serene view of the lake, there's option to either opt for indoor or outdoor seating. Did I mention the outdoor seating area is pet friendly! Yes!

We ordered the Royal Benedict (2 poached eggs on English muffin, smoked salmon, Hollandaise sauce) and the Baked Eggs in Avocado... both served with mixed green salad on the side.
I've never tasted eggs in avocado like the one I got before. So yummy, fluffy, full with flavor. The best I ever had!

The ambiance was perfect . You can sit inside with very cool decoration and library there also you can sit outside with a fabulous water front view 😍 . The meals I orders were perfectly executed and very yummy 👌🏻. The staff were friendly and accurate . They have fresh juices too and yummy Italian desserts which I loved. 😍

I was so surprised to find out that this lovely breakfast (and lunch) spot has recently been taken over by the (ex)ecutive chef from Bice and Roberto’s DIFC...amazing things to come. The breakfast was great and service friendly. Will definitely be coming back and excited to see how this restaurant evolves .

I came to Urban Bistro with a recommendation from a friend. We chose outside because of the great view and nice weather. We ordered a urban breakfast and blueberry pancake. It took ages for our orders to come. Urban breakfast included beans, chicken saudage, bacon, eggs and potatoes. It was not great. Pancakes tasted nice and it was very well baked. The ambiance inside is also very cool and cozy and it is very well designed. If you favor ambiance this is a nice choice but I would like to see some improvement on food and service.

So glad we got to try out Urban Bistro again. This time they've got a new Chef in the kitchen with a while lot of creative yet classic flavors! Urban Bistro is a great spot for casual dinning, breakfast cravings and quick bites. They've even got some pretty decent deals you'll definitely wanna sign up for when you get there!
Venue Vibes: Love the outdoor space as much as it's indoor arrangements. They've got a cozy set up as well as a rustic yet wonderful decor going on.
Service: Friendly, assisting, and of course, lovely staff!
Highlights: For our first experience, we had the Panko Chicken Fingers, Super green power, Chicken & quinoa salad along with spicy prawns on the side were spot on!
The Seabass, The Salmon and the Thai Green curry and the Angus Beef Burger from the Mains were stunners!
Beverages- Detox skin saver and the Salted caramel were lovely.
For our second one, we tried the All you can eat Breakfast for AED 55 ONLY. Loved it! Had the Benedict, the croque madame, the smashed Avocado toast, french toast and some salmon on the side.
Had a bit of their margarita pizza, the beef Carpaccio and some spot on tiramisu for dessert. It honestly was incredible! These guys just keep getting better and we're pretty tempted to go all out on their new variety of pizzas soon!
They've even got some bakery bites which is a must if and when you drop by.
Personal favorites: The different pairing of flavors and the portions in their appetizers, Breakfast options and mains really got us good.

If you are looking for some healthy eating then this is it. Urban Bistro is one of the beautiful cafes in Media city serving delicious breakfast and lunches with the most amazing ambience and interiors. We suggest you all to visit this place rather than ordering online. It has a flower stall, and also number of amazing books to read.
What we ordered:
Starters: Panko chicken fingers
We loved these chicken fingers. They are marinated in cajun and served with sriracha lemon aioli. Chicken was well cooked and juicy to the inside and very crispy to the outside
Salads: Asian Chicken
It is a wholesome goodness of grilled sesame chicken breast, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, red capsicum, radish, crispy wonton strips and sesame dressing. Well we literally went ga ga over the taste. Yes salads could be delicious too.
For the mains:
We tried their Chicken Parmigiana. It is basically a tomato basil spaghetti, topped with marinara, a generous portion of breaded chicken breast, mozzarella, pesto and parmesan. We gotta admit that it was the best spaghetti we tried in Dubai till date. Perfectly cooked, well presented and amazing quantity. Chicken tasted delicious.
Burger:
We tasted Grilled cajun Chicken burger which has layers of cajun marinated chicken breast, tomatoes, choice of sauce and toppings so we chose tomato sauce with grilled mushrooms and cheddar cheese toppings. Yet another delicious tasting burger from Urban Bistro. Could be shared by two if any starters or mains are ordered.
From the breakfast menu we tried the French toasts. Beautifully presented and so yummy, perfect in taste and good quantity. Hats off to the chef!
Also they have got range of freshly squeezed healthy juices and açai bowls.
Overall amazing food with very sweet, friendly and fun staff. We bet y’all wont regret visiting here.
Urban bistro situated in the CNN building of media city, this place is going to take you by a surprise with its views in the day time as well as if you want a starry dinner. Loved the ambiance and the seating arrangement. We ordered Angus beef burger, the beef skewers, alfredo pasta, the salad the nuggets and fries for the kids. The beef skewers were just sooo tastyyyy. I must say the salad was not boring at all infact it was juicy and enjoyable. The burger was too yummy with the beef you can't handle 😋. Then we had salted caramel but being a healthy restaurant, they don't go overboard with the white sugar syrup , so it was more fresh and healthy with bananas.
Place has fantastic views. We had breakfast over looking media city waterfront and sky scrapers. Eggs benedict were done perfectly. Yolk is runny and the salmon is a handful. Had the power juices to jumpstart the day.
For lunch menu we have tasted Seabass, Asian Salad, bolognese and a couple more appetizers. The bolognese were the best and addicting.
We had an awesome experience at the venue. People were accomodating and friendly. I couldnt ask for more.

I visited this place for an event and was very pleased with the cozy and beautiful interior of this place.
They have a good variety of yummy and healthy food. I loved their mini pizzas and the dip that they served with vegetables. Also their crunchy and creamy meat balls are a must try.
Really healthy and quick lunch option with highly customizable juices to choose from, and the food here is extremely delicious with high quality ingredient!

Urban Bistro is a very restaurant within Dubai Media City offering a wide selection of classic international dishes throughout the day. My preference is to come here during breakfast service on the weekends OR to come during the late afternoon as a quiet place to work with coffees due to its fast, reliable WIFI.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The cozy atmosphere means it is very casual notwithstanding the office building in which its based.
- Dog friendly and child friendly on weekends so if you want to come with your family - and the family pet - you're welcome to do so.
- the view over the man-made lake with fountains is fairly scenic
- The Full Urban (aka a fully English breakfast) is a filling monster with eggs as you like, beans, beef bacon and other classical full English breakfast dishes served Halal (e.g. no pork). It is a generous portion of
- The smashed avocado has a novel twist with beetroot chutney, spicy mayo, salty feta and crunch / texture with seeds.
The prices here are normal for a restaurant of its quality and menu. There are large benches, sofa seating areas etc for large groups or smaller bistro tables for 1 - 2 people.
Service is punctual, friendly and attentive.
Urban Bistro is churning out good quality food to a good standard in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. I highly recommend coming here and, if you cannot make it, they also have delivery options through well known delivery companies.
A brunch at Urban Bistro is one to not miss out on. I visited today afternoon with my dad as we were passing by after some work around the area and got real hungry.
We ordered limited food and drinks as we weren't sure what to expect but honestly loved every bit of it.
For drinks we went with one Mint Lemonade and The Reviver. Trust me and have the Reviver. No added sugar nor water. Find one place that's this fresh and specific. It is very very rare.
From the Brunch menu, we ordered the Spaghette Bolognaise, Angus Beef Burger and Sriracha Chicken & Soba Noodles.
We ended our meal with Cappuccino and Green Tea topped with Mint.
The food and drinks were amazing. The service was great. The staff and manager Felicia were very humble and lovely. It was like meeting friends more than people who work there. 5/5 because of the great service. 4.5/5 for the food and drinks.
I ordered buckwheat pancakes for breakfast and couldn’t be any happier :) So fluffy, tasty and relatively healthy. A nice treat for the weekend after a Hiit workout.

This place has a very nice outdoor seating area.
I loved their smashed avo on toast! It was so full of flavor!! They made the smashed avocado with tomatoes, onions a hint of lime. The portions are also huge. All their smoothies and juices are fresh so take advantage of that!! Their coffee was also good!!
I love spending my weekend by eating breakfast in a different restaurant. And this resto is one my fave. Their pancakes and french toast are the best! The ambiance is amazing! so cozy❤️ Will definitely visit this again soon!

I come to Urban all the time; at least three or four times a month, sometimes more, and I have been doing so for about three years. I come to work and have meetings, so I usually drink coffee and eat breakfast or lunch. The food and coffee is great, and the staff are friendly (although sometimes it takes a very long time to get served when I walk in). I'm willing to look past that. The one thing that is super frustrating, is the deathly slow speed of the internet. The internet hasn't always been like this. Only in the past two months or so has it slowed to a crawl. I've asked the staff but no one knows why or what can be done. Management, if you read this, please could you look into it. I've heard other people in the restaurant complaining too. Thanks!
This place is perfect for a quick lunch during a working day. Besides, it is one of the best places in Medi city. It also has a nice indoor seating as well as an outdoor seating by the lake. Friendly and professional staff, quick service and tasty food. Recommended!

Very cool place hidden in DMC. Great view of the lake and seating is comfortable. Welcoming staff who are professional with a unique menu. Love the sweet potato and chicken quiche.
It’s a shame that I have not visited this restaurant earlier. I have been working in Media City for 3 years now and it was only yesterday that I discovered this amazing place just across our office. Urban Bistro which literally means a small restaurant in the city is fairly new to the Dubai gastronomic scene. It is based on a philosophy of sustainable eating in a progressive environment, ultimately seeking to create an urban retreat from the daily grind of modern city living.
It's an interesting option to dine at for office goers especially in Media City. Nice ambience, the foods not too bad either. The service could definitely be upped but on the whole it's not a bad experience (if you can manage to get parking nearby during office hours :)). Tried the burger and a salad. The salad was quite fresh, nice and filling. The burger though was over done which was a bit disappointing. But I suppose okay on the whole.
I love this place, it is cozy, efficient, and very convenient for both a quick lunch work break or a nice gathering with friends and colleagues. Their menu is diverse and mainly seems to have healthy options. Their fresh juices are fantastic. I mostly love their salads. The portions are generous as well. I cannot wait to eat there again. I also tried their delivery service, it was fast and the food was wrapped nicely. The driver was friendly and very professional. I am pleasantly surprised that a nice place like this is available for us media city crowd. I hope they keep it up
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Media City area. True to its name, the place is designed in a cool, urban style. The place is massive and offers a beautiful outdoor terrace, which is perfect for the cooler months.
They offer an extensive multi-cuisine menu, with ample vegetarian options. Having that I have tried is pretty good. The staff is polite and courteous and service has always been pretty good.
Definitely, one of the nicer spots in DMC if you are looking for some place fun, easy and stylish. And especially makes for a nice spot during the cooler months as their terrace overlooks the lake in media city, which is a nice and soothing view.
This is going to be my new favourite spot to dine and work. It used to be The Pavilion downtown which recently closed down. I struggled for a while to search for a nice cafe qith decent food and great ambiance to work, until i found Urban Bistro. The cafe is super spacious, high ceiling hence airy. they have all the facilities for me to work eg. extra adapter. there are book shelves at the back emphasising a profesional yet cosy work space. Design is simple with cool color tone to please the eyes. I will be a frequent here:)
Had lunch there last weekend and the atmosphere is nice and the food was great, had the Steak N Chips and the meat was cooked perfectly with a tasty mushroom truffle sauce and crispy chips, will try them again if i ever end up in Media City.
Urban Bistro is open at day during Ramadan and that's how we ended up here for lunch. The restaurant truly reflects what it stands for - an urban retreat from the daily grind of modern lifestyle. The place is huge inside and enclosed with wall embedded shelves and the ceiling featuring some really cool doodles. These are accentuated with quotes, books and magazines and some lovely interior decor pieces.
We ordered the Wagyu Bolognaise and Quinoa Linguine with Seafood and Bacon Crumble. And both the dishes were superbly delicious!
The great ambiance and respite that this restaurant offers, and the tasty food as well, Urban Bistro could become your frequent go-to. It's a great place to take your laptops to and get some work done!
I went to urban bistro for breakfast and the eggs benedict were ok but not great and the service could be better. Yet i really like the vibe of the place and their coffees!
One of my favorite breakfast places in Dubai. You can't really go wrong with most of the items on the menu, but make sure to get the avocado toast, which has become my favorite breakfast item...I actually have it at least once a week!!
A place that makes your day is a place worth going too again! After working hard on a project I looked up and saw the banana joke and it made me laugh (in the first picture) I didn't try the food, but it looked delicious coming out of the kitchen, but their barista is superb!
Went here for breakfast when they had the ‘puppy brunch’ – a brilliant concept and must be brought back!
We had the Avocado eggs, Quinoa Pancake and Full Urban Breakfast. I must say I have had better breakfasts, but I guess it’s the atmosphere of the place that made it a nice option for a morning out. The Quinoa pancakes were my favorite, considering they didn’t taste much different from normal flour ones. The full breakfast was okay, not something I’d order again though.
For dessert, we got the Nutella tart, which got over in less than a minute – I guess that says everything :)

All I really want to do is talk about amazing and receptive our servers were at the first puppy brunch organized by Urban Bistro last Saturday.
They even had a pedigree based brunch for my pups- I wish I had taken a picture of this but the dogs lapped it all up before I was able to.
Food:
I ordered the full breakfast and my husband ordered the Sriracha burrito.
You could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The portobello mushroom on my plate was cooked to perfection. Also, do try the sweet potato rosti instead of normal potatoes as a side.

Breakfast burrito (8/10) - the burrito was amazing I just wish there was a side component other than the two-bite salad.
All in all, a beautiful place for a Saturday morning brunch date with the pups. I hope they continue to have more puppy brunches.
This cafe has become my absolute favorite in all of Dubai. It is tucked away in media city away from all the commercial places bustling with the usual crowd. The walls lined with books from all genres and the combination of wooden and mirrored interiors gives it a unique look.
Perfect for a meeting or some alone time with a book and coffee, the ambience of this bistro makes you never want to leave. I have personally spent hours here after breakfast, only to leave at lunch time when the business meetings slightly disrupt the quiet.
The selection of teas and breakfast is quite lovely with ample portions for the price charged. The jasmine tea has become my drink of choice when here. The staff are very attentive and aim for quick and efficient service, though that might sometimes not be the case in the early morning hours.

Today I was at a comfortable cosy place-Urban Bistro in Dubai Media City. This super cafe tucked inside CNN building offers nice relaxing atmosphere and great menu. The Urban Bistro is based on a philosophy of sustainable eating in a progressive environment. The purpose was to create an urban retreat from the daily grind of modern city living.
The decor with the books gives such a warm feeling, moreover we can just pick a read and sit with it over a cup of coffee. They hold #FreeCoffee Mondays so do check it out if you are in the area the next time.
The menu is contemporary, delicious and very interesting. From starters, Sandwiches, Pastas, Burgers and Main dishes the ingredients used are very exotic such as heirloom tomatoes, avocado whip, root vegetable crisps, basil,grilled portobello mushroom, balsamic roasted cherry.
The service is fantastic and the staff is very well versed with the menu and provides good recommendations. Complimentary welcome drink a shot of orange juice is served on arrival. Since it was Monday my friend and me tried the free coffee with classic sweet potato fries.
For the main course we feasted on Organic Salmon Fishcake and Wagyu Beef Lasagne. The food to our delight was extremely delicious and exotic. The Salmon Fishcake was served on blend of sautéed spinach, sorrel sauce, roasted pumpkin. The Wagyu Beef Lasagne was so cheese and rich with spinach, cherry tomato, rocket and broad beans salad.
Apart from the tasty food , the friendly service was like icing on the cake. Considering it was lunch time and busy we still received a lot of attention from them. In terms of cost the place is reasonably priced and a meal for 2 would cost between AED 150 to 200. The atmosphere drowns you in completely from the metallic chairs, wood finishes, bookshelves and a deli counter inside.

Urban bistro have really nice ambience,welcoming staff and really good coffee. Its quite pricey but its worth it. They are serving very healthy food .There potato fries are really tasty and fresh .The chilli white omelette was amazing and the toast with avocado was to die for..!
I really like urban. Its close to my office and we go here sometimes. Their food is fresh, yummy and is diverse price wise. Im a big fan of their wraps, I also had a taste of my colleagues red curry... Yuuum. the sweets also look really good although ive never had any.. I need to remedy that!
The Quality of food is absolutely excellent. The variety of the menu for Organic gourmet food is top of the range. Really enjoyed eating here.
The food is amazing and fresh- i have tried the salads, beef burger, the grilled salmon and everything was fresh, not very salty and very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the soy latte is to die for. Definitely going back.
For regular readers of this website, you will know that I am forever looking for the perfect weekend breakfast place. I have got it into my head that this magical place must have a relaxed energy to it, ideally located in a little piazza surrounded by rustic Tuscan houses and flower gardens or perhaps tucked away somewhere green yet urban, like Central Park. Or even somewhere iconic like an old bank or church with high ceilings and lots of history.
Very elegant and trendy place to have lunch in, great decor and well educated staff, the menu is great and different, very healthy food available there so you can choose what you like, most of what i tried there was really good, prices are a bit high but what is not expensive these days, right?
