One of the best kokis i have had in dubai for a long long time...this is one hidden gem in burdubai where everyone should visit.
Been getting Koki’s from here for years. It’s a very simple and basic place with no fan fare. Limited menu and specializing in Koki’s. Try the plain or methi version with their dal. It’s delicious. One koki is good for 2 people. Prices are very reasonable.
Awesome parathas.. always.. super filling
Also good sindhi lunch
A no frills place where you go only for the food and not for the ambiance, service etc.
Their Koki is the bestseller along with the unlimited thaali.
The restaurant is pure vegetarian
It is normal to share tables with other guests
Might be difficult to find it, follow google maps and it is a small restaurant next to a laundry.
Loved the paneer paratha, kindof liked every paratha. I will continue to order because the paratha is totally desi.
Inside busy Meena Bazaar, you will find outlet/restaurant for best Koki with choley. Around 10 Dhms for a big Koki which we couldn’t finish it. It seems quite a popular joint with many. Coming from Ulhasnagar, this is much closer to authentic Sindhi food. They have various types of parathas as well, which is quite big in size and it is a must visit if you are Koki fan :)
This is the best place in dubai to have some tasty koki parathas .
But their other varieties like aloo paratha, methi paratha, mix paratha, gobhi parathas are also very nice and filling
Whenever I pass by Meena bazar I always grab their parathas.
Their specialty is their parathas , I had also tried their lunch thaali but it was not so great , I must say just average
This time when I visited I ordered methi paratha , mix veg paratha and poha
Parathas were awesome as always but the poha was not upto the mark.
Not a good place to dine in as it’s a small space and not so clean And the delivery is also always delayed so it’s always good to go and grab it by yourself.
One feedback to the management is I have been coming to your restaurant since 2014, may be not regularly but whenever I am at meena bazar I do visit as I am staying at a very far away place and its only and only because of the quality and taster of your parathas but I would like to just tell u from a customer’s point of view that pls focus on the hygiene factor and cleanliness at your restaurant and pls train your staffs to be a bit more hygienic and cordial towards the customers.
Pls take this as a positive feedback as I personally like your restaurant a lot and wish it get all 5 star always from all the customers who visits ur place.

Was recommended this place by Sagar Bhatia,
I must say the koki was delicious and extremely filling! I have been told that a single koki can easily be consumed for breakfast and lunch.
It's mostly a takeaway place, but does offer limited seating arrangements.
Unbelievably delicious Parathas . We tried the koki and aloo paratha ( upon a friends recommendation) and relished it completely. Both the Parathas were served with curd and chilli pickle . The portion was also too good for just Aed 5/-.. will definitely try some other stuff here
One of the best koki, aloo and methi parathas. Friendly staff and good service. They don't have good seating so it is not recommend for families. I took my family there and we ate in our car. We did that because we wanted to eat parathas hot and crispy. Their daal is also mouth watering and goes well with any paratha.
In short, cheap and delicious.
If anyone in Dubai wants to eat the most awesome and on-point koki, this is the place to be!
This is my most favorite, which I could also have in the middle of the night - Nihal's Koki!
Hands down the best Koki in town!
Nihal Kokiwala is a very small joint in the heart of Meena Bazar. When you walk in you see this sweet auntie shouting for Koki to be brought down from the kitchen!
Makes you feel that you're standing in the middle of her kitchen!
Sometimes the Koki's run out quick but they have quite a selection of methi, aloo and others!
Best to have the Koki with their homemade pickle and Dal!
Nihal has the best KOKI in Dubai .. and almost every alternative Friday I am there to get a parcel. Onion Koki , Mix Koki , Dal Pakwaan and all others are really good .
O yes and I love their Mirchi too served with the Koki.
Get Ready to wait in queue on a Friday Morning for upto 30 Mins atleast.
You Could have a fantastic breakfast for 4 people in less than 30 Dirhams.

I had been to this place Nihal Kokiwala yesterday. They serve the best Sindhi style food here. I ordered Methi Koki's . It was very nice. I tried Koki's for the first time and it has made me real fan of it. I will surely try it again.
Taste 4.5/5
Ambience 4/5

Koki is a dish served as breakfast at every SIndhi house. Living in Meena bazaar, this food is not to be missed. One such place serving kokis is Nihal Kokiwala. Priced at only Aed 5.50, this one is absolute steal! These kokis/parathas are accompanied with curd/dal and their spicy pickle.Definitely a must try if you're all out to explore new foods.
I tasted last Saturday koki & aloo paratha from this place and I have only one thing to say: heaven on earth! I have been craving it since and I am sure I will be going back soon and repeatedly!
NIHAL KOKIWALA "I LOVE THERE PARANTHAS ALONG WITH ALOO SABZI I MUST SAY AWESOME TASTE, WARDS ARE LESS TOO EXPRESS THE TASTE AND QUALITY STILL I CAN SAY IN PUNJABI🎤🎙
"JINEY KAHADA NIHAL KOKIWALE DA PARANTHA AUDAA MAAN HOGYAA NIHAL"
GOD BLESS TEAM NIHAL KOKIWALE 😍👍
A small hotel in meena bazar , burdubai . i love there onion koki and dal pakwaan.A best place to eat your breakfast.Whatever you eat quality is superb !!!!
Nihal, the spiritual home of Koki in Dubai!
The place is well known to old timers but for a new comer, reaching there can be a bit of bhul bhulaiya! More so as the restaurant’s name is not Nihal! The nearest landmark is Cosmos.
The place is best for a takeaway, though they do have a few tables and chairs.
Parathas are the thing to pick up, koki being the must have. Having said that, other types are not bad at all.
The place offers Value for money with a capital V and a very tiny m! In AED 25/- a family of 4 can have a full breakfast, and call neighborhood too!
Those kokis can fill you up!
The best way to enjoy them is to turn up on a Friday morning and then plan for a light dinner!
If you like Aloo paratha, koki and dal pakkan and in Bur Dubai..don't miss to go to this place. One of the best Alu paratha I have ever had. I am a regular to this place..it's a take away resturent. So no eating there... A must try black pepper paratha. This place is usually packed so please call and place your order for pick up.
Well, Thank You so much everyone for such fantastic reviews on zomato. Also, for those who have raised their problems assure you that it will be taken care of and would make sure you step out of Nihal satisfied.
Thanks a ton once again.
There is probably nobody who has grown up in Dubai and not tried their Koki. Its crispy and cooked to perfection. Their quantity is too good basically one koki is good enough for 2 people. Extremely budget friendly as well.
Walking arround on the streets of meena bazar was tempted to try something as I passed by this place for the first time.have been to this place a few more times after that
Items tried at this place:
Paratha here is good, similar yo many places you can choose between curd, aloo sabzi and daal
➡Black pepper paratha...something different it was yummy
➡Aloo paratha 👍
➡Crispy Onion koki -recommend ed option
➡Kachori..
The best best super best place to have paratha ... mainly known as or called as koki... separately comes with curd and sauces ... but the cheapest, delicious 😋 and water watering koki ... u can dare any for ur friends to finish one single koki all alone ...
Ordered mix koki.... it’s a staple food for every Friday... taste so yum so as samosas.... tummy filling koki must try best koki served with curd... one koki will fill only ur tummy not ur desire to eat more ... must go place
Being an indian especially, and haven't tried nihal koki urf dorrat al bahar would be pure Injustice to cuisine.
Serving all different kind of lunch meals like dal rice, pulav sai bhaji alu tukk, curry rice ,panner masala and roti just as similar as mom's food in dubai.
Serving en nu of parathas and evening snacks since more than 2 decades it has been great that the taste has been same al over.
Pocket friendly & yummy food=atleast worth the wait of queue.
Delicious Koki’s n parathas that don’t dig into your pocket.usually go there while shopping in Meena bazaar. Love their onion Koki n aloo Metha parantha. Their masala chai( tea) is the best as well.also love the green chilies they give with the looking/ parantha, n then you have an option of curd, dal or aloo subzi/ curry, value for money. They have these small metal baskets n the parantha’s n Koki’s keep coming from the first floor in them.

Nice sindhi koki you will get here with dhai or dal
Also aloo paratha gobi paratha many more its very nice i will suggest you give try once 😀
Nihal kokiwala- As the name itself defines its popularity ,this place caters to one of the best Parathas and Koki’s in Dubai..
Simply crunchy and crispy hot Parathas served to the finest.
It’s a 20 year old joint and serves more that 350 Parathas and koki’s a day..
The most disadvantage and difficult aspect is to find its actual location..
It took me nearly 30 min to get there since I was just roaming round and round this place but still it was worth the hustle and total paisa vasoolll.
Tip to get there-
Enter meena bazaar ask for cosmos mall and just besides the mall there’s a small lane which will take u there or just ask anyone once u reach the mall..
FYI the name of the restaurant is also very different to the name given on Zomato. Nevertheless will just share the image of the restaurant for a much better convenience..
Good luck and keep going👍🏻👍🏻

Amazing Sindhi food. Do remember the shops name is Dorrat Al Bahr restaurant (atleast on the board). Fantastic crispy onion koki. The best that I have ever had in my life. They have a very compatible thali option as well but beware quantities are always 2X. Follow the map and find the attached name board trust me you will save some time of aaju baju shopkeepers!
A must visit on a regular basis outlet, in the bylanes of Meena Bazaar. Spoilt for options in koki itself. The dal pakwan & poha are also delicious. If u happen to go on a Friday morning to pick brunch..... Be ready to have a wait of 40mins+.
I definitely dont recommend you sit here and eat as this place is in a tiny lane and has no ambience. What I like here are their sindhi kokis (onion paratha) which are a must try, priced reasonably with all the goodness of a sindhi cuisine.
Best KOKI Paratha I have ever had in my life - better than my moms as well, as crazy as that is to say. For 5 aed they give you a massive koki, green chilli pickle and either yogurt or chana/sabji.
Seriously hot and fresh, crispy and soft at the same time - perfect balance.
Aloo Paratha is good and methi/mix paratha is decent but koki is their best product. MUST TRY!!
Take out recommended - not much room to sit, esp not with a family. If you want to pick up, call them and they will bring the food out to your car.
GO GET SOME NOW!!
This place has been one of the most loved restaurants for Sindhi bachelors in meena bazaar
It's surely pocket friendly and perfect place to have typical Sindhi style koki.
Had aloo paratha and koki and taste is too good probably the best place to grab your breakfast
love the onion koki .....
its just awesome
every Friday we order tat
even other parothas r also tasty indeed
recommended for every 1 in dubai

Pocket friendly sat breakfast.... the koki, aloo parathas are my all time favorite they are huge parathas servied with dal or dahi...good Sindhi koki n delicious
This has been my friday's brunch for almost 15 years now. Does not need any intro. Just the best place to get homemade like koki's in Dubai.
P.S. all the best getting koki on a friday :)
For parathas lovers. Decent budgeted place to have a good quality paratha's. sitting place is limited without ambience. People mostly prefer home delivery. Therefore for visitors will not recommend.
Thanks for viewing.. keep watching.
It's a very tiny place in Meena Bazaar, which I'm sure I won't be able to find by myself.
It is an extremely pocket friendly place serving Sindhi cuisine. It has a small range of homely food items like Sindhi kadhi, koki and serves thali too. I'm yet to try their parathas (onion, aloo, etc) - one looked enough for a one person. Majority of the dishes here were in the range of 5-10 Dhs.
We had samosa pav which was also given hot and toasted. It was really yum. Parathas are on my list. Would advise take aways only.
I dont think this place needs any introduction!!
Its by far the best koki in town! Its really cheap and the quantity is super awsome! One koki can actually satisfy 2 people or more depnding on the appetite.
Just one thing, the place is too crowded on friday mornings. If this could be managed ill give 5 stars to this place!
World's best KOKI only served here.
My brother is a die hard fan of their Aloo Paratha a must must must try if you are a Dubaite or a visitor.
Don't know how far it is true but Nihal's Kokis are flown back to India for his yummy taste.
One of the best indian koki or paratha you will find here
They have many other things here but a must must try is their Koki and Aloo Paratha
For people who dont know whats a koki
Koki is sindhi flat bread prepared with wheat flour perked up with a large array of flavors enhancers like onion, coriander, cumin seeds, chilli and more...
And aloo paratha - i m sure everyone knows whats a aloo paratha
Should try it ...

Freaking insane breakfasts. Don't remember how many gazillion meals we have had here growing up in Bur Dubai. My office used to be walking distance so easily accessible. Phenomenal Kokis.
--A drop of ink may make a million think.
@AyaashPaw
This place is absolutely difficult to find in the always crowded Meena Bazaar area. The restaurant is not even called Nihal Kokiwala. You will, in the end, find this restaurant in the least expected alley. Raymonds is your landmark.
Take away is the best way for this joint. There is hardly any place to sit and you really do not want to sit there and eat.
About the kokis, I did not know what they were or how they tasted like. This place was a hidden (literally) gem referred to me by my boss. The kokis are bigger than both my hands put together. It is super heavy and super cheap. I could not believe that I was full in AED 2.50 :P
They serve the kokis with chana dal and raita. Definitely go there and order a parcel when you have less than 100 bucks to last thru the month. Try their onion koki and alu methi parathas.
You will not find better value for money elsewhere in the city!
Before brunches (and healthy eating) were trendy, this was a family staple for friday brunching. The onion koki, which is a Sindhi breakfast dish , served with sides of daal/yogurt and pickled green chillies (and tons of grease!!) is what you should be ordering if you are a first timer. One koki costs AED 5 and is good for 2 in my family.
Other items I have tried from this place include dal pakwan, mix paratha, and samosas and they all taste good, but don't come close to the koki.
Pocket friendly, but if you are going to drop by on a friday, expect a long queue.
After a long shopping day in meena bazar we stepped to nihal kokiwala for some quick bites.tried their parathas and samosas.it was soo gud.the green chutney they served with samosas was really delicious.truely a hidden gem.
Only if you are from a sindhi family or if you have been to a sindhi's house for breakfast. You would know about, Koki's. Nihal Kokiwala is the most famous kokiwala in meena bazar and has the best Koki's. The only problem is parking. But the service is really fast.
Brilliant Koki..this place seems to have more but their koki is to die for.this is a thick desi Sindhi paratha. Though it's more of a breakfast thing it's available throughout the day. My quick fix dinner option as well. Curd which comes can be slightly better
For those who are not familiar with what Koki is, its basically the Paratha equivalent in the Sindhi cuisine. Just like Parathas have several varieties of fillings and are typically served for breakfast, so is Koki in the Sindhi household. A dish that is fairly wholesome and very tasty
!
There aren’t a lot of restaurants in Dubai that offer Koki on their menu but Nihal most certainly is one of the best amongst the ones that do offer it. FYI…the restaurant is named Dorrat Al Bahr Restaurant but is popularly called Nihal because the owners name is Nihal.
Nihal’s koki’s are massive in size and quite tasty but Heavy. One koki is a whole meal; in fact for some it’s good for 2-3 meals. He offers a great variety of fillings but the classic koki without any fillings is my favorite and a must try if you are new to this dish. The koki comes with a small side of yellow dal/lentils and pickled green chilies. This combo costs only 5 Dhs, which is probably the cheapest meal you would get of this size in the whole of the city.
They serve a few other things on their menu but Koki is their signature dish.
A must try!
Have been my favorite place for kokis since childhood! We have been ordering kokis and parathas from this place since a long time. They serve koki with sides (dal and mirchi). The delivery might take alot of time because of the number of orders they get. Its totally worth the wait, though! Have even tried their samosa sandwich which is also one of my favorites from this place.
Worth a try!
Nihal restaurant is a small little restaurant in the bylanes of Meena Bazaar. I happen to visit my friend in Bur Dubai in morning hours during my temple visit. She suggested this place for good paranthas and ordered mixed parantha and Sindhi koki from this place for morning breakfast. Didn't notice the delivery time as we were busy chit chatting. However the food was delivered hot and fresh and it was accompanied with pickle, curd and dal by the side. I thoroughly liked both the things especially the koki. I had that for the first time. Koki is one of typical Sindhi breakfast like a thick parantha infused with onions, coriander and spices. It went amazingly well with the chilli pickle provided. It was heavy and very filling and tasted awesome.
For a simple quick fix breakfast or all day snack this place is definitely recommended.
This is Paradise For Koki Lovers,Specially Sindhis like me !!!! 1 Koki is enuff to keep stomach full for a day. They serve Paratha & Thali too.I may sound Stupid but I Parcel koki from here to Mumbai,As my cousins loves Nihals koki.
I bet No one in Dubai can Make koki as good as Nihal Resto !!!! Its Mirchi Pickles r icing on Cake.
Its a very small joint in meena bazar, especially known for sindhi koki...no doubt koki is very good and also it is very heavy, if you have take one koki in breakfast then definitely you have to skip your lunch. Food quality is very good but they should improve their delivery services.
This place is another hidden gem in meena bazaar. Known for its kokis and parathas. Aloo paratha and methi paratha are one of the best in dubai. One and a half koki is enough for a one time meal. Their mirchi pickle and the koki / paratha are the perfect combination
While in Dubai, I was staying with a Sindhi friend of mine, and thanx to him I had the pleasure of being introduced to Sindhi dishes like Dal Pakwan and Koki.
We had dal pakwan and koki for breakfast twice and it was one of my favourite meals of the trip. Dal pakwan was amazing, with super crispy pakwan and probably the best yellow dal I've ever had. We had the standard koki which has onions and one which tasted like a thepla. Both tasted superb, had great flavour and went along really well with the chilli pickle.
Overall I'd highly recommend everyone to try the dal pakwan and koki from here, they are amazing.
Nihal is a Hidden Gem in Meena Bazaar. Me, being a Sindhi will definitely love this place and their food. They sell the best Koki and Parathas. Their Aloo Methi Paratha is my favourite. It is huge, filled with aloo, methi and masalas and satisfies your stomach on a good note.
If you are a Sindhi or you just simply love Koki and Parathas, do try out this place.
Also, many people get their catering done at a very reasonable rate per person. The subzi and roti served during catering are delicious too.
Very famous with the Meena bazaar crowd and known to them as Nihal is a small joint, super pocket friendly. Have been there multiple times for a take away unfortunately mostly on a Friday. The wait is forever! But I must say it's worth it. The koki ,mixed parathas and Meethi Aaloo parathas are excellent. You get sides along with it. With the price you pay for your parathas elsewhere you can feed a crowd here ;)
Known as Nihal Koki Rest by everyone in Meena bazar. Best for morning brkfast lik pyaz ki koki, alllu methi paratha n dal pakwan. They don't do home delivery on Friday u need to visit thm a wait for appox 15-20 min for ur order to b ready. They also hav tiffin service which is commonly used by many rest in meena bazar place is not gr8 to sit n hav ur meal.
This small hidden gem, popularly known as Nihal's koki. The best koki and daal pakwaan in dubai. It's always been a Friday family brunch since childhood. It would have been great if there was any family seating.
This tiny little restaurant (Nihal Kokiwala) located in Meena Bazaar is extremely popular for its Sindhi style koki and parathas. I had their koki and cocktail (potato fenugreek) paratha for breakfast on Friday. I've been having it since ages and the prices have still been around the same. Since I dont live in MB anymore delivery takes a lot of time as they are always busy. Its always better to order 1-2 hours in advance as they take time to deliver or arrange for pickups after ordering.
Everyone who stays around this area knows this tiny joint in meena bazar as Nihal Kokiwala. Extremely popular for their kokis and parathas. Personally, I love the aaloo methi paratha and the koki only at a price of Aed 5 with an option of dal/yoghurt and a spicy delicious mirchi pickle. And honestly, I have never been able to finish it. Its good for take aways. Also, their samosa pav is great and they do catering services as well. Taste is more on the Sindhi side. You might want to be a little light on your pocket somedays and walk into this place.
Don't get confused by the name 'Dorrat Al Bahar'. This restaurant is our very own Nihal kokiwala. Koki is a sindhi version of a paratha and is a favourite of almost all sindhis for breakfast.
This place is usually full in mornings. Don't make a mistake of visiting this place on a Friday. I made that mistake and had wait for more than 45 minutes for my order. They also serve aloo, gobi, methi and mix parathas, bread pakoda and samosa pav but their koki is a class apart. Their kokis and parathas are quite filling and heavy. They also give you an option to choose between daal, curd and sabzi along with your paratha/koki.
Its going to be difficult to locate this place if you're not from Bur Dubai area. Ask for directions once you reach Meena Bazaar area and anyone would happily guide you. Highly Recommended. Pocket friendly.
