I remember these guys from their "proper" restaurant days in DCC & Shaikh Zayed Road when they were known as Coco's Restaurant. For some reason, they closed down both the outlets and opened it here instead, right in the middle of Mazaya Centre as a stand alone counter. One would assume they only deal in cakes these days, atleast judging by the exterior but someone mentioned food in their review. I am guessing that has changed as I couldn't find a food menu here but only a Cake menu, unless ofcourse I missed something.
But nevertheless, I was and still am a fan of their cakes, especially the Triple Dare Chocolate Cake (AED 19 for a slice). This one is a proper American style cake; thick, dense and a bit crumbly. The three layered rich and intense chocolate sponge cake is filled and topped with some more chocolate. A true chocolate lover's delight! 🍫🍫🍫 🎂🎂🎂 🤤🤤🤤

My review for Coco’s – A simple bakery offering both ready to go dessert items and custom order ones. This bakery is also a restaurant because they serve savoury meals here as well. But I was here for the desserts. I like to grab some sweet cakes that are already made since I don’t really celebrate anything unless it’s a special occasion. I have a sweet tooth so I love to explore the bakeries and dessert shops in town.
The cake slices here were definitely appealing to me, I always eat with my eyes, and these cakes were so tasty. The cakes were moist, and the fillings were just scrumptious. However, the whole cakes that were on display were not really decorated too well.
This bakery deserves a rating of 3.5/5.
I ordered the white chocolate cake for 18DHS, strawberry Boston cakefor 20DHS, and the red velvet cake for 25DHS.
The pricing of the desserts served here was good for a slice of cake, but I am sure a whole cake would be a better deal.
The service that I received here was awesome, where there were friendly staff members who were good at packing the cakes up.
The ambience of the bakery was a good little corner restaurant with a nice display of their cakes. The decor was outdated and it was just a simple and plain place.
Triple dare chocolate cake, it’s one of the reasons that I keep visiting them. If you’ve been in Dubai for a while, you know about it before all those other cake shops opened. Cake is just right for me, it’s not too sweet and just the right amount of chocolatey goodness for the palate.
Lost along a confused area between Safa and Downtown. A place called Mazaya Center. This is the only place that you can get a decent coffee and a muffin. The place is in the nook of the center but don't be fooled, the ambience is amazing. I can hear birds chirping, got a TV all by myself. It's like I'm home! A real gem. The bonus is that I got a muffin and Cappuccino for only AED15!
Triple Dare Chocolate Slice cake is the best ever! Nothing can beat it.
I suppose all the Coco's restaurants are closed down. However, they're actually the best American joint. Tried their white sauce pasta, fries, and so many others items of food. Well prepared and presented.

Coco's is one of the first homegrown American Diners that Dubai had created and something that consistently delivered an awesome experience, both in terms of food, service, and ambiance. Can never forget their first out on Sh. Zayed road, which was soaking in sunlight with a lovely combination of White and Purple color in their interiors.
Was upset to see that outlet and the City Center outlet shut as this is an eatery I have grown up with. However, the Mazaya branch still satisfies the urge when missing Coco's. Their chocolate cakes are really awesome and a must try.
A place definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a nice, easy, laidback eatery with a quality product.
Once I stopped by this restaurant while waiting for hubby. Kids wanted to have a cupcake so we stepped in. The place is nice with decent decor. Ordered cupcakes for kids which they enjoyed meanwhile I sipped the strong cappuccino which was good.
When you are craving for something sweet n chocolate my recommendation is to go for cocos and grab their divine chocolate cake. The perfect sweet n chocolate cake combination that will melt in your mouth in second and you will go for more n more.

For all the chocolate lovers out there u should try out there triple layered chocolate cake.eventhough the price is a bit high it's worth it.
The ambience is also very good.It was almost empty when we went there.
Since a couple of years, Coco's cake has been the to go place for birthday cakes or for random cake cravings. Their chocolate cake has been my favorite for a while and never disappoints. Its spongy with the right amount of chocolate and smells great too!
It’s all about their Triple Dare Chocolate Cake! That soft chocolate sponge with the cherry sauce. Its perfect for celebrations and to add pounds. Moving to their menu, they have varied cuisines under one roof. Their salads are fresh and pastas are tasty. It’s a good casual-dining restaurant for families and friends.

We went for the lunch buffet. There was a big variety, friendly staff quick to serve and food was quite tasty. From soup to mains to dessert, good price for a tasty meal.

Coco’s is known for their yummy cakes and desserts. Also, they have a variety of different cuisines to offer. Haven’t eaten anything from here. On my friend’s recommendation, I ordered a Double- layered Chocolate cake for my Mom’s birthday. Two layers of chocolate cake with delicious chocolate frosting. The cake is super moist and not too sweet.
Just go for their chocolate-flavored desserts.
Much preferred than the branch in DCC. The setting isn't very fancy but does the job. Simple and effective. The fancy soup in the bread bowl shows the creativity which goes in food. Mixed cuisine so a variety of options to choose from. Would recommend beef stroganoff. Easy on the pocket too.

As i was working nearby I always use to buy cake for birthdays from here. 1kg cake costs aed 100 still its a worth buy. Chocolate and white Chocolate cakes are excellent and mouth-watering.
Went to the place along with Krishna to curb our chocolate cravings. We ordered a slice of the chocolate cake which was amazing. The cake had three layers with chocolate fudge in between each layer, the texture was so moist, the chocolate just melts in your mouth. A go to place for chocolate desserts!
Coco's! My favorite place to satisfy my chocolate cake cravings. Sad that they close their DCC branch. Heard from the staff that the only branch remaining is the one in Sheikh Zayed and when we went for Christmas, there was not a lot of people too.
The chocolate is not much to look at but you'll soon swoon over it on your first bite. It's very light and with just the right amount of sweetness. It's always good to have with coffee or tea.
It was a sweet welcome by the staff just before the eve of Christmas. Had been to Cocos for desserts after lunch. We settled down for chocolate cake and blueberry muffin. I expected to heat up the muffin a lil so that they become soft and the blueberry jam slides in the muffin. It was pretty cold and the muffin was average. Not to forget the chocolate cake the satisfied our sweet tooth. I'd suggest this place to try out the chocolate flavoured desserts. Be it cake or muffins. Good ambience and themed in purple.

I have been here a few times and the experience is somewhat ambivalent. Sort of hit and miss. There are occasion that it is just perfect, other times the food is too salty, too oily or too rich.
I have ordered the combo platter and french onion soup. Portions are big so it is good to share. Ambiance is okay but could do better. Staff are attentive and courteous. Price is mid-range.
I love this place used to be fantastic for late nights and you could play board games while you eat and wait for food . I really like the salads and pretty much everything on the menu is good

One of the best chocolate cakes in town. Super moist and not too sweet. Three layers of chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. HEAVEN! They make various other cakes but we have been getting the triple dare chocolate cake for various occasions for as long as I can remember.
PS- If you're dining in, have a slice of the cake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream! LOVE!
Coco's was the restaurant where I had to plan months before I dine. That was years ago and I was earning just enough with little to none to spare for my indulgence. I spent over 400aed back then and I was over the moon. Like a dream come true. I came from time to time for the bread soup and triple dare chocolate cake but I stopped when I changed jobs.
So you can imagine my disappointment when I came to have lunch today after so long with friends who are new to UAE. I wanna boast that the place is good and stuff. But, the aura of the place changed. It felt old and not luxurious anymore. The feeling I had wasn't there...
Anyway, the food is just average. I was thinking to myself; "Did I change?" Or "Did Coco's change?"
The chicken dipped in brown sauce taste like homemade chicken with jollibee sauce.
The triple dare cake is moist with wonderfully whipped chocolate... Just like always.
The burger patty is dry but with generous white sauce (that maybe mayo with cheese) and tomato.

I pass the CoCo's restaurant almost daily and always see it nearly empty. But naturally my skepticism went through the roof when a friend suggested we dine there as he had heard that their butter chicken was good.
Well so we went, and as usual it was an empty restaurant with just us as their customers. We did order the butter chicken and the chicken biryani. To my surprise the food was actually not that bad and was tasty, better than many restaurants I have eaten at.
The service, in spite of being the only customers there, was quite slow, they were all interested in the soccer match rather than us.
So if it was not for the taste of the food, we probably would have left much earlier

I don't really eat out much but when I visited this restaurant my stomach cheered 'Wow!' I went for breakfast to this place after a stayover, dressed in pyjamas on a Friday morning and immediately felt at 'home' as soon as I sat down! The ambience was great and the eggs I had were scrumptious to say the least! By the time we left, it was brunch time & I could smell Indian food! Must go back to try that cuisine here - I'm sure it won't disappoint!

This outlet of Coco's is my least favourite in terms of interior, but given its proximity to my house, we decided to head there for a small celebratory dinner.
The last time I went to this particular outlet with my family, I really didn't enjoy it but this time everything I ordered was a complete hit.
We ordered the Southwest Chicken Rolls, which get better every time I have them. The crispy exterior and the cheesy chicken are a match made in heaven.
Another thing that makes Coco's one of my favorite multi-cuisine restaurants is the bread basket, delicious buns with the best garlic butter you will ever try. The bread here is at par with the one at the cheesecake factory.
Other orders included Chicken Quesadilla which gets a 5 on 5 and the Polo Alfredo which get's a 4 on 5 for it's taste but I'm just not a fan of the creamy texture of Alfredo.
They also have this soup called Tortilla Soup, which is the most unique and delicious soups I've ever had. Sadly, they didn't have it yesterday or they might have discontinued it ( I didn't get the waiter right), I'd love to go back just to have maybe ten bowls of the soup.
OH! And you've got to have their chocolate cake! You've got to! This place has been making the best chocolate cake much before the Cake Revolution in Dubai.

One of the best things about this place is their Triple/Double Layered Chocolate Cake. Be it any occassion, this cake is always present at home.The cake is super moist and not too sweet and perfect for my liking.
As a dining experience, I have visited here about twice or thrice. Once I had Veg Alfredo pasta. The sauce was creamy and vegetables cooked perfectly. The next time I ordered for Veg Fajitas. The portions of any dish are quite HUGE and always come with a soup/salad as a starter.
I find this place a tad-bit expensive for usual dining. But nevertheless the food always makes up for the money.

Although Cocos is pretty far from home, I'd travel there for their triple layered chocolate cake. It's moist, just the right sweetness and filling. So far the best chocolate I've had. Awaiting for my next visit!

I like their pastas and brocoli soup a lot. Chicken penne gorgonzola is my favourite. Their indian dishes are not so great. If i go there again then it will only be for the pasta.
A friend of mine and I dine at Coco's once in a while because: (1) it's close my workplace, and (2) it's close to her building. So whenever we arrange to meet, and if we're feeling too lazy to go elsewhere, we always choose Coco's.
The portions are usually too large for us so we usually end up ordering two or three mains for sharing and taking home. I personally like their cream of broccoli soup in a bread bowl, and shrimp and steak combo. We've also ordered their chef's seafood special rice and bow tie pasta more than once.
Sometimes service can be a bit slow especially order-taking; it's a good thing they've got a bread basket with a nice (but tiny for me) tub of butter to keep the wait bearable if one is really hungry.
I still haven't sampled everything at Coco's since their menu is pretty extensive, and I don't go on a regular basis. But for some Coco's fans, it's a safe go-to choice when they feel too lazy to think of even going somewhere else.
I love this branch! I have been here many times and I like how the staff treat the customers. They are very friendly and accommodating. Once, I tried to order lunch when it was still breakfast time. They talked to the chef and allowed me to order lunch. They even asked me if I have the discount card so I can save money. The food is good, serving is big. I love how they give complimentary soup and bread.
Great place, great decor and furniture, wans't crowded when I went, they had a very big variety of food to chose, I had went within the maxican salad and the italian pasta.
Dropped in at this place for lunch with a friend. I has an eggplant parmigiana and was served with an option of salad or soup. I ordered a mushroom soup and it was delicious. The main dish was super tasty. And the portion size was too much for me. I loved the food and will surely try some other dishes sometime.The service could have been better. Mind blowing breakfast's.
For a long time now, i had wanted to go for a continental breakfast. After going through quite a few options we settled on Coco's.
The food served here is pretty good. I had ordered their Mega breakfast and OH MY GOD. The serving size was pretty good. It was enough to keep me away from more food for at least 5 hours. The bacon strips, the sausage, and eggs were cooked very well. They serving of the french toast is more than enough for 1 person. Overall the food tasted very well but their were a few things which could be improved.
They dnt allow youbto choose different types of eggs in the same dish. So if i get 3 eggs made to order in my mega breakfast, all 3 have to be of the same style. Also the potato's were nothing but potato wedges.
Overall the place served great breakfest meals with a very quick and efficient service.

very friendly, All the food that we have ordered are delicious except for the DEEP FRIED CALAMARI, it has a weird taste and was hard to masticate , They replaced it with a new set of calamari but it was still the same quality.
Coco's is my most preferred order-it-home breakfast place... Special mention for the omlettes there... well crafted, made with fresh ingredients an always leaves you wanting for more. They are always generous with their serving size, so keep that in mind when you order stuff. Would recommend - especially if ur up at 10am on a friday morning wondering "what do i have for breakfast" while not wanting to get out of that comfortable bed..
I bumped into coco's to pick up their famous triple layered chocolate cake. But to my surprise their main course menu was even more interesting. The chicken or mutton biryani, curries, dal makhani and Indian breads are simply amazing. And least that you expect from a confectionary place. Other main dishes - and they have plenty of variety - are also very tasty. Ambience very trendy and staff highly courteous. The only reason I don't rate them 5 is lack of delivery. Overall an amazing place!!

The first time I had tried Coco's was at their JBR branch, and it was a great experience; however, the branch on Sheikh Zaid Road didn't offer the same for me. As we walked in, we were ushered into our seats by a waiter who immediately handed us the menus. Finding that this restaurant had something like a triple sampler/dipper, similar to Chilis and TGIF, we decided to opt for it. I think, by now, I've tried triple samplers from every restaurant which offers it. Anyhow, this sampler had fried shrimp wonton, fried chicken strips, and loaded potato skins. For a drink, we tried their 'bottomless soft drink' and paid an extra AED 3 for glazed cherries (a bit of a new concept for me). The experiment, with the drink, was delicious. I think the mix of miranda with the cherries was probably the most unique, and delicous.
The appetizer was decent, but definitely could have been better. The fried wonton was a tad bit too oily; the cheese on top of the potato skins seemed to be just slapped on and was a bit hard. What I did like, though, was the fried chicken strips. They reminded me of a more flavorful and soft version of KFC's chicken strips. 2/5
For the main course, we opted for the Enchilada Chicken Chimichanga, which was served with sour cream, guacamole & salsa sauce and rice. There were two large pieces of the enchilada, and since we weren't too hungry, it was perfect to split between two people. The cheese on the top of the dish was a bit hard and a bit overwhelming, so I took out most of it. But the combination of the ingredients inside was pretty delicious. 3.5/5
What I had noticed, though, was that while we were having our appetizer and main course, the waiter, who was standing near the back-kitchen door almost kept staring at us throughout..Perhaps because there wasn't much crowd? But that doesn't change the fact that It was a tad bit creepy-if not odd.
Also, what really bugged me was that I don't drink much soda, so we had just got one glass of the drink instead of two. However, when the waiter came to refill our drink for the third or so time, he informed us that he would be charging us for another glass since two people were sharing it- which was extremely silly because (again) I was hardly drinking any. And yet, instead of coming back with two glasses (since he was going to charge us for two glasses anyways), he just came back with one glass of the soda, without the cherries. This is the first store that has done this to me-- and I have "shared" a drink quite often-- including TGIF, Chilis, etc, but they've never acted the same way. I really think that the waiter could have told us in a nicer way, or handled the situation differently.
Because of the situation, I didn't feel like ordering the infamous chocolate cake; however, since I've heard so much about it, I will definitely be trying this some other time- perhaps in another outlet though.
