This is the type of places you fall in love since the review, so you decide to try it and... it’s even better! Ordered breakfast for two and wow, we couldn’t even finish, it was huge! Special mention to the ambiance, it’s groovy and so inviting!
Ordered the traditional arabic breakfast platter for sharing. It was so filling and yummilicious!!! This is perfect for 3 people or for people with little bigger appetites, it will suffice for 4 as well. The karak tea is fab! Staff is friendly too. The ambience is lovely with their flashy red Merc at the center of the restaurant!

Good restaurant for traditional breakfasts
Try the traditional plate like nakhi, foul , sambosa and of sure tea

Awesome ambience and awesome vibes in here.

The moment you enter, it gives you homely feel. That's some really great classy interiors I've found in Ajman.

Talking about the food, since most of the items are Arabic, so we couldn't relate. Kudos to the staff who answered our questions in explaining and suggesting us.

We went went ryoogna, thier most popular breakfast, since it was almost brunch time. Loved the way it was served. Tasted really great, and good quantity. We also ordered karak tea. Loved it too.

Would definitely visit again for it's vibes. Highly recommended.

I’ve not yet been able to figure out how to pronounce the name but that just makes this place more interesting. Been there on two separate days at different times and tried new things on the menu. Shakshouka served here is more like scrambled eggs in a tomato base than whole cooked eggs in tomato sauce (the kind I’ve had at Paperfig Sharjah).

The lamb sliders were well done with caramelized onions stuffed between two really soft buns. But super basic. No pickles, no mustard, just tomato, cheese and lettuce. The chicken sliders were a little better.

The stars of the entire meal were the skinny fries and the tea (the color!). Décor is insta-friendly and quirky. They have old Emirati songs playing in the background which I find genuine. Prices are steep for what I would say is a basic menu.

The new restaurants in Muwailah are similarly priced but have some stupendous things on offer.

Visited this place with Sheikh Raiyan .

This was the first time I visited this cafe. It has a very unique name I would say.

As you enter this cafe, you’ll see some visually great decor all around. The place has been decorated with retro touches all over. You’ll find some old TVs, Telephones, Radios and Typewriters. We ordered one Karak and one Oreo Shake.

The presentation for the Karak was done in a ceramic pit which was above a lit candle and a cup and it was the best tea presentation I have ever seen which was very unique and beautiful and the cup had a biscuit on the side of it. On the other hand, the Oreo shake was served in a glass type bottle.

If we talk about the tea, the tea was great and was very strong. I will say that two people can easily share this tea because it can give you three rounds easily. The Oreo shake was also good but a little bit of thickness would make it more great but to complaints regarding the taste. Once you are into taking pictures of the decor and servings, you won’t be able to stop taking pictures of this beautiful place.

It’s a great place to visit , make sure your cameras have decent battery charge so you could capture the decor. I would visit this place again to try out their other items from the menu. I had a good time.

Recommended 🔥

Extremely bad service. Rude staff, the food took more than 30 minutes to arrive.
AC water was dripping on me where i was sitting, when i told the waitress about it, she didn't show any concern. When i complained again, one of the waiters said he'd clear another table for us which never happened.

The interiors stand out. Personally , I have never seen a car inside a restaurant . Nice ambience and location. As for the food , I had the Emirati breakfast . Balaleet , Khameer , Chebab . Definitely coming back for more.

This place has a very awesome feel to it. The decor and the ambience is simply fantastic. My husband and I were just on our usual walk and decided to go try out the place. Since we weren't that hungry We just ordered dynamite shrimps and some sort of bread. The shrimps were really yummy however the bread was just okay. Looking forward to going there again and try more things.

the worst customer service ever.. we had to seat ourselves...call the waitress 3 times by going to them near the kitchen and waiting for 30 minutes for food to arrive...

Walked in early afternoon to satisfy a sweet tooth.. must say was pleasantly surprised to find that they didn't fall into the trap of a traditional only eatery. There is a dish to cover international and traditional.. ordered two deserts and was massive couldn't finish it... every bit of the restaurant had small hints of that 80's and 90's UAE that i grew up in.. absolutely loved the ambience and the fact that they devoted nearly half their floor space to a car and memorabilia. Will visit soon just to try their dishes.. keep up the effort

OMG, SERIOUSLY, I was in Ajman for a whole week and I was there every single day trying different food and options from breakfast to dinner..
I never got disappointed. The food is unbelievably yummy, MAN I even wish I can go back to Ajman to eat there.
Oh another plus, decoration of the place is awesome and they have private parkings too

*Will I go back again!! I wish, but far away from Abu Dhabi :'(

A quite and calm place. Food was great. Would be 5 out of 5 if service was a bit more on point. Decor was cool. I have been qalking pass for 2 years and just found this place.
Amazing all around.

It is a beautiful place, very tastefully decorated. Even the food is served very creatively. The highlight is Emirati dishes but they even serve desi dishes.

We were a large crowd and they did not know how to service us properly. There was just one server to assist us all. Things kept coming randomly, at times they even forgot orders so it was bit of a chaos.

The starters - hummus was chunky and tasteless. Fattoush tasted good, but the salad was not really fresh and crispy. The shrimps was the best option.

For mains we order the chicken biryani, the rice quality was proper you would expect long grained basmati rice. The flavours were alrite, nothing to rave about.

Rajoo keema another disappointment I must say. The roti served with it was not fresh and seemed stale.

This was followed with some Karak chai which was perfect.

Next time will try to stick with Emirati cuisine but will definitely come back for cup of tea to this beautiful restaurant.

Found this cute little Emirati themed cafe in Ajman ✨To our surprise, they serve all kinds of traditional breakfasts from Lebanese, Egyptian, American, Indian to Emirati.🍴 We ordered traditional Indian breakfast for 2 with our fave Lotus shakes along with some Emirati Coffee ☕(gehwa) with dates.❣The prices are pretty reasonable. Location is opposite The Fairmont Ajman.

On our next visit we went on a Dinner with friends and surprisingly ended up getting half the stuff packed for takeaway. We loved their serving size. We ordered Chicken & Cheese Fries, Alfredo Pasta, Beef sliders, Biriyani, Shakshuka with Berry Margaritas and in the end we had the famous Karak Chai and Emiriti Gehwa. The ambiance, service and food details were on point. Its a family spot. The staff is super friendly! In love with their interior. In the end our server brought us a box with perfume and scents to try on before leaving. This was such a cute gesture, so that their customers feel and smells good before leaving the place!

This cafe reminds emirates 20years back specially in regards to entertainment industry as ambiance is done accordingly with the touch of modern art which I liked & had a good time with friends. This cafe is located at posh area of Ajman, now commenting on food & drinks, what we ordered was impressively well presented but tasted normal, it was enough to give a one time shot :))))))

We stumbled on this by accident and what a pleasant accident it was . They serve a lot of Arabic cuisine so it was like a tasty food experiment . The best part was the kunafa and mint tea which was make to perfection with a timer and all . The place is pretty , the hosts very hospitable and they promised me that i will have a branch in Dubai soon ..

Had a good lunch with family today, food was delicious we tried the bakoora, chicken beryani, lamb machboos and baked tiger prawns, the atmosphere is lovely and takes you back in time, like being in a 70s movie. highly recommended.

Great food, service and ambiance
Good reflection of proper Emarat Home food
This was my first time here but would definitely be back
I am from Dubai and it is worth the drive
Highly recommended

The owners have put a lot of attention on the design of the interior decor which is themed and it does add a sense of nostalgia to the place. However, the service is below average and the food is not at all special.

Discovered this traditionally defined cafe showcasing the culture of UAE which is located opposite fairmount hotel in Ajman.

Food - The food options are limited and the taste is pretty average. It is a good place to have afternoon tea and snacks with your friends.
We had ordered mini pakoda sandwiches, potatoes fries, legemaat (arabic dumplings)and Karak Chai
The pakoda sandwiches weren't very authentic in taste and lacked spices . Legemaat were really nice .However the karak chai was one of the best chai I've had jn a while . The presentation of food and tea was commendable.

Service - You have to wait for a while for your order
Interiors/Ambiance- Really fascinating and very traditional be it huge painting of the arabic tv artist or the old film frames and cds on the walls to the antique furniture.I personally loved the red vintage car parked inside the cafe and the details of old cosmetics laid near the ladies washroom. It was a very creative gesture

Overall Rating-3.5/5
..AydaH..
Creative interior, fast service, nice staff.. Food!! As vegetarian I didn't like it, i found it tasteless definitely will not ask for the same orders I was shocked by the taste, but I guess I will give it a second visit to taste the traditional breakfast as I heard a lot about how tasty it is

Went to this very cute cafe in Ajman today. I loved the interiors, it's very funky and definitely one of its kind in Ajman.
I had a Moroccan tea only but the staff and service was amazing.
Definitely worth checking out

So, I found this place while going through my Zomato Feed. What attracted me to go there was the fact that it was a themed restaurant. The pictures looked quite attractive.

As some reviewers rightly said, parking is an issue. In order to not be inconvenienced, I went at a less busy time but still had to park the car some distance away.

As I entered, my eyes caught attention of the red antique car placed in the center of the cafe. There was so much to see with all the decorations staring from floor to ceiling to washroom that I was as at a fix when it came to choosing a place. The cafe looked prim and proper and had lots of antique Arab decors. To me the decors looked more Egyptian or Tunisian rather than Emirati.

Now coming to food....

Most of the menu was in Arabic so I had trouble deciding. There was only one page in English which had roughly 15 items. Maybe I missed out on some items because I don't know Arabic.

I ordered the Khalty Gomash sandwich and Balaleet. Order reached within 15 mins; which was nice. The waiters were responsive and alert. Liked the way the sandwich was presented. But, overall it wasn't that great. Sandwich was slightly cold and the halloumi had no moisture. The fries were warm and seemed freshly made. I did not enjoy the Balaleet as it was hardly sweet. Liked the fact that the tin pot kept the sweet warm for at least 1/2 an hr.

I felt the price was not right for the quantity of food and simplicity of taste and preparation.

Overall the experience was not bad but I don't think I will be inclined to go again because the food was not satisfactory and for any foodie I believe, this is the most important memory that remains from an eating experience.

To sum up, 'there is more to see here than eat.'

I had this place on my mind since long time, so finally I end up going last Friday. Finding this place was not difficult as it's located exactly opp to fairmont hotel Ajman, but what the problem is about this location is parking. I was there by 10 and I got parking after good 20 mins, so guys on weekend's it's gona be tough.

Once we got parking, next thing was waiting line , as it was Friday and weather was good, soo it was crowded, we had to wait 20mins though the server said 40 mins, but thankfully we got earlier.

Now let me come to main part FOOD: SERVICE AND INTERIOR .

Food
They offer a wide variety of breakfast, emirati style, Lebanese style, Indian style and English style , I hope I m not forgetting any other.
They have individual serving as well as sharing servings too. Individual priced at 45 dhs and sharing at 95 dhs.

As we were 2 so we opted for Emirati style breakfast sharing portion which is good enough for 3 People.
I loved the way they serve in small metal pot , on them differnt lines and quotes are written in arabic, breakfast consists of different dishes

1. Minced Eggs and tomatoes : this was the best out of all, seriously we loved it. Trust me you will keep on having it again n again.

2. Chickpeas : they were just alright , seemed like canned ones , if they had boiled them abit more; it would be great; as this way they were abit hard

3. Bajela which are large board beans , and honestly don't ordered them , seemed like they just straight away pour into dish from can, cudnt even had one.

4. Oman chips and kraft sandwiches : these were alright, I wish bun were abit soft. But overall not bad ; Oman chips sandwiches are not traditional Emirati food but it had become a part of cultural, I love it more in partha .

5. Balaleet; these are sweet vermicelli, fried and topped with omelette, making it crunchy sweet tender and savoury at same time.

6. Three different styles of breads , one was chebab that's arabic style pancakes which I love , other one was very thin bread which is usually taken with liquid type of dishes and other was abit thick.

This platter was quite filling so along with just ordered karak tea and water

I am in love with karak they it was just perfect with little taste of cardemom. They serve in traditional pot n cups. My grandmother also used to have such cups. * which took me in my childhood days*

Sharing platter is priced at 95 dhs , karak tea pot is priced at 17 dhs and water at 7 dhs.

Btw guys you can replace beans and chickpeas with any other dish but it had to be from emirati breakfast ( there are few other options too ).

Service : as mentioned Earlier it was Friday so these guys were super busy , though they were trying there best to serve everyone on time. Overall it was good I must say there manager was really kind lady.

Interior; it keeps for itself ; you will feel u are in some old arabic drama set or , some heritage musum. U will surly love it.

M I going back : yes totally.

We visited yesterday my friend and I to try the Emirati breakfast, I thought it was only Emirati but I loved that they have different kinds of breakfast like the Levant, Egyptian and Indian, English beside the Local one. so we ordered The Emirati larg platter ( for 2-3 persons), it had small plates of egg and tomato which was so good, chickpeas & bajela which were normal, balaleet which wasn’t good ( full of cardamom and very dry), mini sandwiches of kraft and chips oman which isn’t traditional food but related to our culture and it was good although the bun was a bit dry. also this platter had 3 types of local bread and all were good. we ordered also lugaimat and it was so good!

The ambiance is really nice, but the location of the cafe is annoying since its in a crowded area and there are no parkings.

The serving idea is very creative, the food was good and the amounts served are enough

I have tried :

- emirati breakfast
The blalet was missing the sweetness and the khmeer wasnt that good
- rafeek breakfast
It was good and the bakora was amazing
- lgaimat
- arabic coffee
- karak
- sulaimani tea

Prices are fare
