Had a chance to visit Beda Zayed and had food from this restaurant. I must say that the staff is exceptionally courteous and caring. They really look after you if you are the customer. There is a complementary salad when you order. The food is great and tasty. I really love this place.
Great find for a place like Madinat Zayed where dining options are limited. Wasn't really sure about dining in initially considering that the restaurant is inside the City Mall food court.
But to my surprise, it was quite a pleasant experience with good service, tasty fresh good food and generous portions. And there were proper tables with table mats and steel cutlery to top it all up.

If you experiences long travel from abu dhabi to beda zayed try to eat in Garlic restaurant located in first floor City mall. I don't usually write a comments for fast food eateries but this definitely can't leave me to write about the service and the food taste itself. I ordering the food I've choosen in menu (kare-kare, beef tapa, grill chicken) and I was really surprised the sense of pinoy taste its exactly the same its makes my tummy satisfied. Even they served the food very past and you will feel happy after you experience to eat in Garlic restaurant. I highly recommended to invite my other friends to visit again.

It’s inside City mall in Madinatzayed in The food court area on second level. Serves delicious tandoors and Chinese cuisine. Chicken Tikka biryani is awesome and irresistible. Try their fine rice varieties including the hot and spicy combos. Good place to have fish and prawns.
When on your way to Liwa - do stop by City Mall and find this restaurant in the food court - in one word I was reminded of the dhabas around my college!
Try jeera rice, egg biryani and chicken pepper dry! Just awesome taste.
We also had Punjabi chicken dry which was top notch.
The restaurant also offers Chinese, Pinoy food for those who prefer - overall Sumalyo made our dining experience even better with the service!
Price very reasonable - we were a group of 6!
Great place for tasty food in the small town of Madinat Zayed. The Anda bhurji was very tasty and together with the butter naans it was enjoyable.

I went on a meeting for two days in Madinat Zayed Western Region and try to look for a place to dine in. We went to City Mall and there i found Garlic Restaurant. They have a section for Filipino/Chinese/Continental cuisine and they have also for Indian cuisine. They have a wide array of choices in their menu. For my first day i ordered in Grilled Chicken in their indian section. It comes along with small salad, hummus, and pulka bread ( i asked the waiter for its name). I liked their pulka bread it was way better that kuboos or poratha. Their grilled chicken was well seasoned and it was very tasty. Actually i ordered another one for to-go. The next day i tried their filipino section. I notices that all of the staffe were indians so i asked whether who cooked the filipino dishes and to my surprise it was also indian. I ordered tapsilog and it was really good. The beef was tender and taste pretty well. Good thing that i never failed to my first restaurant in Madinat Zayed Western Region.
