This is the best place in Abu Dhabi to have a seafood lunch or dinner. Fish market style, pick your favorite fish/seafood items and those will be cooked the way you wish. I can't think of a better place in Abu Dhabi. I love this place and been there many times, and recommended it to many people. I will be back again. And...great value for money.
If there is a seafood restaurant I would highly recommend for first timers in Abu Dhabi is the fancy and totally relaxing ambiance of Al Dhafra. The guaranteed fresh seafood is waiting for your selection. Surely your eyes will pop out how humongous some of their seafood which of course costs kaching kaching!
A must if you love fish!!!! It was literally amazing and fresh, you can pick it from the counter and then Choose the sauce you want it to be cooked with! I wasn’t impressed with the buffet, especially because you have to pay extra money if you want to access to the whole buffet. Overall I had a pleasant night

Simply a great place to have a seafood dinner .. and it is a top tourist destination as it seems .. they have a nice salad buffet and a full buffet or sea food a la carte cooked to order .. prices are good and their food and service is just great .. definitely will go there again
Amazing grilled fish.... Very fresh n sumptuous a must try for a fish lover. Loved the king salmon with Al dhafra special sauce. Finger licking.
One of my colleagues was prasing greatly about the seafood at Al Dhafra Restaurant (Al Arish on Zomato) how freshly it's made and how amazing they cook it.
He was kind enough to take us there and let us try out for ourselves.
As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by their friendly staff and see the fresh fish selection of the day where you can select the fish you want and they serve you depending on your taste.
The restaurant is very big and has a great salad buffet to offer like local favorites tabouleh, green garden salad, moutabbal, hummous etc.
As well as a dessert buffet which is amazing !!!
One must try the Um Ali dessert which is worth trying !
Towards the end of your meal you are served some local Arabic mint tea and a server sprinkles some rose water to clean your hands.
Overall, Al Dhafra or Al Arish however you like being addressed, you guys served some amazing fish and I will definitely be back !
Interesting decor insideZ food is a buffet style and you can order also fresh fish a la cart. Service is attentive but mostly oriented to Arabic guests. Good option to take friends while they visit UAE

A friend of mine knows I'm a huge foodie and so he was determined to show me this hidden gem. Location is awkward which makes it hard to find around the back of the fish market. Also the name on the outside of the restaurant is not the actual name of the restaurant apparently! No idea why.
Anyway upon entering you walk up to a fishing boat filled with ice & fresh fish. Very similar to The Fish Market at The InterContinental. We selected some king prawns and a sea bream to be grilled and accompanied with sauces.
Decor of the restaurant is very regal but not necessarily in an elegant way. Odd but not offensive. Clients were mainly local Emirati families which was nice to see. We chose the buffet option which was unlimited salads, hummus, cold mezzo, etc. All was fresh and tasty but I wanted to save space for the main course.
The service was very slow on this evening, embarrassingly slow as far as my friend was concerned. Not sure what happened but the server apologized eventually. The fish was delicious. The grilled prawns were a bit rubbery and not very hot. We could have taken dessert from the buffet but declined.
So, as mentioned earlier this restaurant is very similar to the Fish Market in many ways, except the price. Cost for the two of us with soft drinks was less than AED300! Sooooo reasonable and although it wasn't incredible it was very good value for money and a good place to take visiting friends & family for an unusual experience.

Fell in love with steamed/grilled garlic/lemon shrimps
Seabass, seabream and Hamour are my best fish choices
They also serve a buffet, has great salad choices and if u r not a fan of fishes/seafood, u will find other good options
Atmosphere is great and service is amazing
PS: try this combination and u will end with coronary artery disease in no time!
Rice, yougurt, lemon, gee, garlic flavored shrimps and cooooooold pepsi with ice cubes and lemon slice!!!
