We visited Dillicious yesterday for dinner. The ambiance takes us all the way back to the 80s in India - with the colorful movie posters, truck and charpayi. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Shahi Kabab - it was juicy and very flavorful, potli kabab - the chicken was succulent and every ingredient could be tasted and was in the correct proportion, Diwani Handi was perfect and Kiwi Mojito was very summery and cooling. And to end the meal, we had Mango Kulfi - which was v different and v tasty. Overall our experience was vert flavorful and tasty meal. Thank you for the food and good service.
The ambience of this restaurant would take you to the streets of Delhi instantly. Very vibrant and colorful interiors with various wall murals depicting the famous structures of Delhi. We were invited over by Dillicious to review the food. The staff was warm and greeted us with a smile. They also helped out with choosing the dishes and explaining what each item was.
We tried the Dhaba Murg roast, potli kabab, Railway road ki kadai murg, Naans, and lachcha paratha, strawberry mojito, mango lassi, and mangolicious kulfi. First and foremost, we were served complimentary papad and some chat. Next up was Dhaba murg roast. It is just a fancy name for tandoori chicken. Nevertheless, it tasted really good with tender and juicy chicken.
Next was Potli kabab, which was like boneless pieces of chicken stuffed with mince chicken. It was not so unique. I felt there could be more to the filling as chicken stuffed again with minced chicken didn't add any texture to it and it tended to be very dry.
Next up for mains, we had the Railway Road ka Kadai murg which was the normal kadai chicken and naan and lachchha paratha. The kadai chicken was delicious and perfectly spiced. Also, I liked their naan. They were crispy on the outside but equally soft on the inside and not chewy at all.
We had the strawberry mojito and mango lassi. Nothing unique about them. They were just fine.
Last but not the least, for desserts we had the mangolicious kulfi. Not the usual mango flavored kulfi. This one was like kulfi stuffed in a mango. So, you get to eat the fruit and the kulfi at the same time. This one was good. First time I tried it at a restaurant.
Overall, I had a very pleasant experience here. My ratings are as follows:
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 5/5
Value for money: 4/5
Service: 5/5
1 of the best restaurants in dubai with lit interiors and complete delhi feels.
