Impressed with the service and yummy variety of puttu... I liked the bell concept (feedback bell) Ur Sulaimani was fantastic Cost was also less Overall a unique n best place in Dubai. Must be a dream shop for the creator...
Kudos Worth waiting
A restaurant gets repeat customers only if the food is good - and I must say that Dhe Puttu scores very well in this regard.
Must say the ambience was nice with nicely done interiors and staff were courteous without being too overbearing.
Menu covered different varieties of 'Puttu' and will suit the Veg and Non-Veg guests well.
Must visit for the food..concept and experience however I will caution people to try and go on weekdays (even better if it is afternoon) as I have heard horror stories of people waiting hours for the Puttu on weekends.
Best place for varieties of putt. Meals are average. Quantity is less for combo puttu. Bit expensive.
I loved the food as we always come on a saturday. And its been 6months and I’m here again 🤗🤗. This time its not the thali but a different one with parotha.. I hope you will have wheat parotha.. Overall the food was delicious, little spicy and will satisfy your tastebuds. ☺️☺️☺️
Cleanliness , food is good , social distancing , staff wearing gloves and mask .
Staff were very helpful. Didn't charge me for the food due to hair in it. Were so nice to ensure I come back again and I will.
Dhe Puttu has variety of puttu’s and all taste amazing .The location is easy to find and it is at the prime location of Karama .I Tried Veg curry Puttu ,sea food Puttu,Erachi puttu and special Puttu and all were amazing .Even though your not a fan of puttu or you haven’t tried Puttu you must try at Dhe Puttu Karama .
Such a super experience we had !! We wait 3 hours we got the 43 number reservation. Service exotic and food was traditional kerala sadhya. Place was bit crowded but they managed it well .
Recently tried King fish polichattu with rice and veg meals
Loved the flavours of polichattu masala
Its tasty and flavorful
Kingfish was fresh
Quality is great
Ambience is good
Can be suggested for group lunch/dinner
Loved their puttu beef biriyani, Gobi 65 and chicken gravy. But pathri wasn't that good. Tasted powdery.. ambience, service, food decorations all damn good. Worth the price.
From the name and the idea of Dhe Puttu was to showcase different variety of Puttu seen in all parts of Kerala under one roof. I believe its not only the food that the restaurant serves but the chefs/staffs who put in the effort to serve good food to the customers. And they definitely have taken that standards to a desirable level.
Now its not only Puttu that they serve but there are a number of other variety of food that you can enjoy here without any regrets. Moreover their presentation skills are to be seen, it will take sometime for you to start eating the food.
To start off, the two drinks we tried were the Miracle Cocktail Juice that consisted of Boiled Beetroot and Carrot blended with Milk + Sugar, healthy drink 😊 and Ginger Mint Passion Fruit Punch, this was really refreshing.
For starters, the Crispy Fried Chicken was really good and recommendable. Zayan couldn’t stop for one.
So other than Puttu what do we get here, yes their lunch hours are pretty busy here and do you know why ? Their Ilayil Ooonu is just 10 AED, yes its true. They serve the oonu everyday in the leaf itself. It comes with 7 kootttum, Sambar, Fish Curry, Rasam and Mooru. What else can you ask for at these rates, it was really yum.
I always love Fish fry along with Oonu, hence ordered it separately, this is a definite recommendation - Avoli idimulaku - Crushed Chilly and Chef’s Special masala marinated on fish. There was thenga kothu too along with the masala, the flavours can’t explain, amazing.
Then came the Hot Kodukka Chicken Biryani, Its Dum Biryani with a egg as well, I want Egg with Biryani 😊. Then its usual condiments - Raitha, Pickle and Salad. It was hot, perfectly cooked and the flavours were appetizing.
Next was my favourite, Pullicha Porotta, Chef spl beef roast stuffed inside the Porotta and folded in banana leaf, you cant just dive in since it was hot and the smell that came out as soon as you open it makes it so tempting to attack it.
How can I leave this place without trying Puttu dishes right, hence got the Classic Roasted Banana Puttu, as description says Puttu filled with roasted Banana, just look at that presentation. Didn’t want to spoil it 😊. Zayan had the fruits first and then the puttu.
Next is like a complete meal called Subharathri Puttu, Top of the puttu contains Kanthari mix Chicken, skewers of Chicken Chuttathu (Tawa fry), Gravy, Grape Juice and Custard. Loved the taste.
For desserts, we tried the Honey glazed fried Banana centre having an icecream. Centre was filled sugary coconut and cashew. The plate also had tutty fruity. It was divine.
Final one was the Mango Custard, fresh mango sliced and custard was yum.
This place is always busy due to the wide variety of puttu options on the menu. I loved their puttu combos, nearly tried most of them. The prawns ones are my favorite!!
