This place has got by far the best shisha in Dubai.... the food mostly Iranian cuisine is very tasty specially the Chelo Kabab and Golestan Special Kababs. the Homus and Motabal is just outstanding.
A must visit place
Visited this place during Suhoor hours , it was super crowded , ordered for their Grape Mint Shisha . It arrived within 10 mins of time , truly the best I have had in recent time . The shisha was smooth and lasted for more than 120 mins , staff people were friendly and quick in service as well .
Visited Golestan for lunch with a few friends and we were pleasantly surprised to see the Eid special buffet. We started off with the salads and the warm crispy bread with moutobel. The breads were super soft, warm and crispy and the moutobel was super yum.
The buffet spread had very tasty kebabs, Arabic vermicelli rice, white rice, eggplant stuffed with ground meat which was very tasty. It also had pasta in white sauce, grilled veggies and many other dishes.
Overall the lamb kebabs and the stuffed eggplant dish deserves a special mention.
Would love to try the A La Carte options here!
Came here for iftar we the family and friends , food is great place is amazing and staff is very welcoming , keep it up , just the sweets part was not very selective only fruit salad and custard and little Irani bites , if u guys added some cakes and creamcaramel would even been better
Was stuck in terrible traffic on Sheikh Rashid road and thought it’s better to go and enjoy a meal instead so took a detour and went in to Golestan! The menu had a lot of items whose names I wasn’t familiar with and the menu didn’t provide sufficient descriptions either. The first server we had was also not at all familiar with the menu items but a different server assisted us later and she was quite good.
The food was freshly prepared and tasted great. The meat was succulent and well seasoned. The cold platter was excellent value for money and besides the moutabbal and hummus included two other unique dips. I believe this was called the Habibi platter - we order the small and between two people it was difficult to finish it (and we couldn’t!). Finally, the freshly prepared bread was irresistibly amazing!
Great food and atmosphere. love the lunch deals with shisha as their shisha is good. i go there most of the time if im in garhoud area. must try their cauliflower soup and chicken dishes
Always enjoyed spending time in golestan . Delicious food and drinks with good shisha. They do also show some Iranian sports event so its good to go there to watch football or other important events

Golestan is a popular Persian-Iranian restaurant and shisha lounge in Garhoud. The front half of the restaurant is for dining only, no shisha served. The back half is the shisha lounge, which also doubles as a dining area. Funnily enough it’s at the back half where the buffet is located, so you’re going to get fumigated with shisha smoke whether you like it or not. The buffet at Golestan includes many non-Iranian dishes, and some non-traditional ones too. This is in contract to the very traditional interior decor. But there are a couple of Iranian kababs of which the Koobideh isn’t at all bad. On the day I visited, the buffet included a non-veg variation of a North Iranian veg dish I love called Bagheli Ghatogh, spoilt somewhat by the addition of chicken. Their Fesenjan was better. All in all, the food was good but not, I suspect, what people really go there for. This is a shisha lounge first and a restaurant second; every table in the filled to capacity back half had a hookah or three beside it. Service was friendly but slow. So, if you’re looking for a shisha lounge which also serves decent Iranian food, Golestan is for you. If however, you’re looking for a restaurant which serves above-average, authentic Iranian food…consider other options.

I love the new decoration. Golestan has a new management and they made some changes. They have regular weekly buffet offers as well as lunch offers.
True tasty iranian food. The food has not changed since years. I used to visit it a lot during my college years due to how close the place was. The food is super yummy. Everything tastes amazing. I recommend the grills platters. The meat is super juicy and tender and the portion is huge! Also the sheesha is pretty good and the staff are very friendly. The prices are very reasonable too.
