Mexican cuisine began about 9,000 years ago when the agricultural community - Mayan Indians formed. Mayans introduced corn, wild game, and tropical fruits to Mexicans and taught Maize Nixtamilization (a process for the preparation of maize (corn), or other grain, in which the corn is soaked and cooked in an alkaline solution, usually limewater. This process is known to remove up to 97–100% of aflatoxins from mycotoxin-contaminated corn.). In the mid-1300s, the Aztec Empire introduced chilli, peppers, honey, salt, and chocolate. Spanish invaded Mexico in 1500 and introduced Livestock - Sheep, pigs, and cows into Mexican cuisine and started producing Rice on Mexican lands. Mexican cuisine is an essential aspect of the culture, social structure, and popular traditions of Mexico and result of invasions and indigenous traditions. For these reasons, in 2010, traditional Mexican cuisine was inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
With such a diverse and multi-historical facet, Mexican Food leaves a substantial impact on the mind when tasted in the authentic eatery. Amerigos is such a place which represent Mexican Food as it is. Lipsmacking grills, appetisers, and sides are worth trying in Amerigos in unaltered form. Food cooked by a Mexican chef with use of apt Mexican spices and chilis gives you the authentic dining experience in Amerigos. Utterly hospitable staff with prompt service makes the dining hasslefree. Do experience their Meatgrills night to enjoy the traditional, affordable, and apportionable grill combos with good sides and gratifying beverages.
The sequence of service is a bit objectionable as we got the Sides before appetisers and main course, but that can be, willingly, treated as Amuse Bouche even if the host didn't inform such change beforehand. The consistency in service is remarkable but such minute operational flaw in a reputed eatery can make a big difference when you are paying for food and service.
Such a fun place for a brunch. Extensive menu that makes you drink less and eat more! Great atmosphere and full of life. Done this brunch a couple of times and would love to do it again. It’s on the entertainer too which is a plus! Everyone needs to try this brunch !
Had a fantastic time at the famous Amerigos Brunch today with the family.
Great ambiance, fantastic food, super friendly staff, great service and fantastic value for money.
We went with the non alcohol package and loved the choice of virgin cocktails that came with this.
The food is excellent, small selection of salads some great starters and a huge selection of mains.
We loved the Tortilla Soup, the Calamari Rings and Sweet Potato Fried were to die for and loved the Tacos.
In the mains they had a lovely selection of grilled chicken, lamb steaks, ribs roasted leg of lamb with Cilantro Rice, Black beans and Veg Fajita all superb
The highlights were the Guacamole, the Lamb Roast, Cilantro Rice and the myriad of different Salsas.
Great selection of dessert as well, from Ice Cream Tacos to Churros and some lovely milk puddings.
Buzzing ambiance made it interesting and service was spot on.
Outdoor seating has fabolous views of Yas Links and in this weather was a perfect place to hang out.

wonderful service, great food and amazing Churros!! Shout out to Celine who was attentive and made our evening very enjoyable. Try out their meets grill night to get the bucks worth of amazing flavours and sangria!
Loved visiting this place! Service from Celine was amazing, fast and super easy to chat to! She happily answered all my questions! Will definitely be back!
I've been there twice now and can easily make it my Sunday night hangout
We just had an amazing Brunch #DineWithPaulRamos together with #AbuDhabiBloggerSquad at newly newly re-vamped Amerigos ParkInn and tried their new Menu, we absolutely love the luxurious atmosphere and traditional Mexican vibes and most especially the authentic taste of Mexican Cuisine (2 Thumbs Up)! Can’t wait to go back and try their guacamole and churros!!!!
Very friendlystaff!! Would recommend 10/10. If you are looking for a good time. Look for pawan and naba. They are gr
eat! Excellent service. good communication. I swear, this bar is legit. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
We've tried this place as my husband loves mexican food.. we love the ceviche and soft chicken tacos. Good ambience and we will be back again
One of the best place to dine in Abu Dhabi especially in Yas island ! The food is delicious and well served I recommend the Pollo, the traditional guacamole and the red sangria those are my favorite. The staff are amazingly friendly constantly smiling. Mme Thuzar always make me feel special and welcome and I would like to highlight the service of Mr Sai who was constantly looking after us aldo it was busy.
Awesome food nachos are homemade and dips are fresh. We ordered sangria which was OK. But mix fajita was good for two.
Service was great and on top of all I loved the view.
Will come back again for some more romantic dinners.

Mexican restaurants are hard to come by in Abu Dhabi and fortunately, Park Inn by Radisson on Yas Island has a great one in Amerigos. The key to success is in the kitchen as Amerigos have authentic chefs from Mexico to man the kitchen. I found all of the food to be delicious not only in taste but visually appealing as well. They resembled what I had in Mexico. I noticed that there weren’t any attempts to create a fusion concept to adapt to the local taste which is good as that usually fails. The way dishes are garnished and drinks are sprinkled with chili powder/salt on the side really reinforces the Mexican flavours.
Our waitress was very friendly, the ambience is great for dinner .. The food was on point .. Ordered Tacos, Quesadillas & Fajita dishes .. its a 5/5 experience
Nice Mexican restaurant and good to be here ... love the ambience ... and but didn’t like the drinks ... but would love to be here again... check it once
Great place
Authentic mexican cuisine
Great staff
Great service
Definite repeat
Ambience is very good as well. Blend of sports bar and a restaurant all in one
Came for brunch at the weekend. Not one of the bigger brunches I have been to, but more than enough food on offer to leave the biggest of bellies satisfied. Most of the food was excellent, and at 150 Dhs per person including soft drinks, excellent value for money. I got my money's worth from the horchata alone!
Only downside was that my favourite dessert in the whole world, Tres Leche cake, was being stored in the freezer cabinet alongside the ice cream which meant instead of being moist, light and creamy, it was rock hard with an unpleasant texture. Also, couldn't understand what the guy on the taco station was saying when I asked what the meat options were, maybe some labels would be a good idea (also on the ceviche station too) so you know in advance what you want to order.
Overall though, they're just minor niggles, and I'll definitely be back.
PS. the hotel's valet parking is a bit of a shambles, not the restaurant's fault though.
Great simple brunch with pool access. Love their margaritas!
A good margarita is not easy to find in Abu D.
Also love the fresh guac and ceviche station, you have the opportunity to customize yours as you want it.
I have been in Amerigos last week first time in new year. It is the place that i come for the delicious steak especially. Here is the detail review;
Environment/Atmosphere: 7/10. You can enjoy outdoor sitting at pool side. Quiet and relaxing place. I don`t suggest indoor option for dinner since the ventilation is not enough to clear the smoke. Non-smoking part is at the entry and small.
Food: 8/10. My favorite in the menu is Rib Eye Steak which is served on hot stone with several delicious sauces along with your choice of side dish. Fajita is also a good option worth to try. Serving tortilla chips with salsa sauce while waiting for main course is a plus.
Price: 6/10. Little over price for an Mexican restaurant. Rib eye 170 AED and pint of beer 40-45 AED including taxes. I can say the same for the other items as well. They definitely should revisit the prices and consider some adjustment.
Service: 7/10. Service quality has been improved compare to my previous visits.
The Amerigos Mexican Bar is a very nice place for either drinks or lunch/dinner. Went there for dinner twice and can warmly recommend the fajitas. The location is also nice and the atmosphere especially next to the pool is very chilled!
Great food and drinks, thoroughly enjoyed this place. It’s definitely authentic and has one of the best ambiance with excellent location. The staff is a bit strict so make sure you fix the deal before going coz we faced some issues with our brunch package, but anyways i surely going again.Purab Bhatt Nikita HaldankarForum Damania
We decided to visit on a Thursday evening. Booked a table outdoors by the poolside due to the cooling weather and were really happy that we did so as the indoor ambiance wasn't to our fancy. As a first visit goes, it went great. Greeted and seated promptly. Menus were offered. Food preferences accommodated. Generous portions arrived within 30 min which for me was to be expected considering how.packed the place was outdoors. There was a great live entertainment. We'll be going back for seconds
Great taste. Great food quality. Loved the nachos and the quesadillas.. unfortunately didn’t get to try anything from the bar..
Only drawback - place didn’t have the “Mexico” feel..
The best Mexican food i've tried in town. The staff are friendly.
My only issues are:
1) Friday lunch - you can't have lunch there off the menu, it's only possible from the buffet.
2) Their parking
Otherwise, i's recommend this Mexican cuisine restaurant to anyone who wants to try good tex-mex.
Great ambience, staff, food and management! :) There are cool events, like the Fajita Monday's, Taco Tuesday's and Friday brunches. Access to pool seatings and free VIP parkings are granted once inside the Park Inn. Definitely worth a shot!
These fried cookies are favourites at Mexican restaurants. Roll the warm churros in cinnamon and sugar, then enjoy!😉

Very good Mexican in the ParkInn on Yas Island. the food is fresh and tasty, I like especially the Tuna Ceviche (the style of preparation seems to change from time to time) and the Fajitas Divorciadas. Recently we were here for brunch (145 for the non-alcoholic package, 220 with alcoholic drinks) and were pleased. Ceviche made to order with several type of fish and dressings, a good selection salads, nice selection of grilled meats and at our visit Chilenian marinated salmon.
Add a lively atmosphere and you have a good recipe for a fun afternoon out.
Amerigo's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Abu Dhabi. I love their Baja fish tacos. If you're a meat lover, you should try carne a la piedra, served on a hot stone. Fantastic service, and their Cuban manager is very nice. Great place!
Mojito the prestige here!
I love Mexican food and this place is on the top to serve an authentic Mexican foodstuffs.
Tacos! Costilla tasted amazing to my taste buds. My friend had pollo which was exquisite as per his taste buds.
Bon appetite at excellent location. This place is located in Radission Blu. This place is amazing as I had a overnight stay here!
Taco's and mojito are bon appetite. Treat for taste buds!
If you ask people in the Middle East, what’s their favorite day, without a second musing everyone would instantly say Thursday, it’s the relaxation day here after 5 days of tiring work. We are always in the hunt of making our Thursdays colorful by trying to find the best places to go and have fun with friends/family.
Last week I got an invitation to taste Mexican foods at Amerigos Mexican Bar and Restaurant in Park Inn by Radisson Blu, a hotel located on Yas Island. At the rear of the Park Inn Hotel (fairly standard hotel) Amerigos restaurant isn’t perhaps the most stirring & swanky place to spend your Thursday evening in the literal sense but believe me, this is indeed an understated venue. We loved the terrace especially it was stunning, listening to Mexican Music and looking across the waters of Yas Island, is much satisfying.
Amerigo’s Mexican Bar & Restaurant, located in Radisson Blu on Yas Island got some amazing Taco’s. I don’t usually enjoy soft Taco’s nut these were simply delicious. The entrance is slightly hidden but if you ask one of the hotel staff how to get there I am sure that they will be more than happy to assist you. They have a lovely indoor and outdoor area but as it is summer sitting inside is probably the better option. Lovely place to visit if you are ever in Yas Island.
The food are GREAT. It's a perfect place to release your tension after a day full of work. Also they had a live music on the edge of the swimming pool, feel free to show your dancing skills 😉
Best Mexican food ... lovely and friendly staff especially liezel ... fresh food .... great service... nice venue .... location is great in Park in hotel with out door sea view 👍👍
The best Mexican restaurant in town... Food was amazing, very friendly and helpful staff and cozy place. Prices a bit expensive but worthy!!.
Amazing and very delicious food, one of the best Mexican restaurant in UAE!!! Friendly and helpful staff, nice and welcomed atmosphere!!!😃😃😄
Came here out of no choice of any other variety around the area and must say it was a pleasant surprise! Had a steak for the first time and it was an experience of sorts.. Served on warm charcoal wood, the medium rare Sirloin tasted juicy! The Mrs. ordered the Veg. Enchilada and that too was delicious. The big minus was the guacamole which lacked lime and was very thick much unlike other genuine Mexican joints.

I am a mexican food lover and this place hits the spot every time, food is good quality and tastes amazing every time! take people here and they always love it
Excellent food at an excellent location. Amerigos is the place to visit with friends. The food was great and the quantity doesnt leave you feeling saturated. The highlight of our meal was the fruity rose sangria. Light , fruity and tasty. The guacamole was also good but wished it had a bit more punch in itz flavor. The enchiladas were d best ive ever had in abu dhabi. The waiters were friendly and helpful too. I will definately return to amerigos again n again n again...
I tried this restaurant a few times for lunch and dinner. I recommend it mostly for dinner. The outdoor area by the pool is the most recommended in good weather . Genuine food but The service is just basic and never impressed me or my friends
It was a fantastic day with great atmosphere and nice people. The service is always perfect with friendly staff and especially the excellent service of bar keepers, and also the Cuban manager who present nicely with a great smile has to be mentioned .
Truly believe that people are coming to this place because of the amazing staff and their friendly service. Visited during the Brunch and it was an amazing time. Food is surprising you every time, perfect cooked, fresh and tasty, please try the tacos and the prawns
I'm Mexican and is not easy to find good Mexican food in the Emirates... and I have to say this is some of the best I've tried so far. For starters we had tuna ceviche, guacamole and the wild mushroom huarache, all of which were very tasty. I normally don't like the guacamole that most restaurants make around here as they tend to ruin the flavor with tons of lime juice, garlic and other stuff that is not supposed to be in a guacamole (i.e. Taqado), but I that was not the case here and we were very pleased! For mains I had the carne tacos and my husband had barbacoa tacos. Mine were pretty tasty, I would've liked it better if the meat had not been marinated in adobo but it was still pretty tasty and tender. As for the barbacoa tacos as per my husband's report they were a bit dry and cold, but the tortillas and the salsa were really good. Finally for dessert we had the churros and 3 leches cake, both of which were amazing. So I'm giving it 4 starts due to the cold barbacoa tacos and a very dirty spoon we were given for our desserts, but rest assured this will not stop us from going back and trying their brunch next time :-) ** P.S. I am Mexican and I approve this message **
Amazing foods traditional drinks... fun and very memorable place , easy to access to any friends and family of mine 😀😋😄...thank you toni , lhaki and pawan see very soon guys love it..
A great way to celebrate family milestone and weekend getaway. The ambiance was great and very welcoming. I love the food served and it's very delicious. The staff(Jayson, Toni, Lhaki and Pawan) are very accommodating and very polite to say the very least. Would highly recommend and re-visit again soon.
Went to celebrate my 2nd year anniversary with my family in the best restaurant.AMERIGOS.
food was fantastic.
Toni, lhaki and pawan gave a superb service .thank you guys.
See you next time soon😊☺😊...
Went there for the 1st time . Its was great experience and unforgettable .
Toni was the best smile and so kind. Jayson was the best host...
Great experience at our first of the famous Acapulco Friday Brunch at Amerigos. You need to enjoy this brunch because it’s not possible describe everything in a page and the nice vibe
Firstly the ambiance is spectacular with a beautiful DJ playing a really nice music
We booked with this Restaurant which is Mexican based so all the stations were themed – Tequila, Frozen Margaritas (really good and strong!) Coronas although there was full bar service too, whatever you wanted. The Mexican food was amazingly good, there are a fabulous tacos station that you cannot stop eating and beside the corona counter have a Tortas service that is a kind of mini Mexican sandwiches and there was another Restaurant in the next hotel doing brunch too
The staff were good natured thought out the day, constantly topping up drinks, clearing tables and were very attentive. Excellent!
We went to Amerigos on a Tuesday evening & were delighted to find out that it was tacos tuesday. All you can eat tacos for 99++.
There really was a good selection of authentic tasting tacos. You call tell they use quality ingredients. The salsa & guacamole were also so delicious but the best thing for me was the habañero sauce.. Firey but so full of flavour.
They do a decent selection of cocktails as well. We tried the beerita, magarita, mexican rodeo and the mechalada.
The staff are really friendly & upbeat.
Can't wait to try their Friday brunch.
Decided to have lunch here...wasnt very busy during Ramadan. The food was good, especially the calamari. The guacamole could have been better and a bit on the spicy side. The service was fair. Overall, a decent place to satisfy hunger.
Tacos tacos tacos and the brilliant beer flow. Pretty awesome place to catch up with friends, watch your sport on the large screen and have a fun night.
I went with my boyfriend to Amerigos and the place has a lovely atmosphere, and the waiters were very nice. We ordered two margaritas, a steak, chicken fajitas and guacamole. Everything tasted great, but my absolute favorite was the fajitas! It was with, onions, mushrooms, peppers in a sizzling plate. in other plate guacamole, sour cream and tomato and onion chopped. Heaven for foodies.
Amerigos is one of the good mexican places ive been to.
He earned a 4.0 prices because of the food quality vs price and the taste consistency which is one of the main factors to evaluate a restaurant.
Ive tried the burito, steaks and tacos and all of them are good.
Consider going there early as their kitchen closes early
I am so giving it 5 stars .. everything was excellent. Taste of food , service time , staff , over all setting and ambiance and price.. i loved the place .. the menu has so many different choices and the waiters actually helped me to choose. The food was served in a good timely manner and was hot. It's a good place to sit and enjoy a meal with friends or family rather than picking something fast and leave.
Excellent traditional Mexican food Brunch, service was top draw and the ambiance and setting is excellent.I loved the atmosphere at this place. A special thanks goes to Arturo, the manager, he was super kind and extremely attentive! We were a bit disoriented at the beginning and had some little issue with our shade, he immediately took charge and took great care of us. Thank you Arturo! Will definitely be back to dine here!
Amazing brunch, wonderful food and staff and super cool ambience! Definitely I will come back very soon. It is a perfec5 place to have a Mexican brunch with family and friends, pool access for everyone, really nice music!
I would frequent this restaurant in the Yas Island every time I visited and was excited when it came to Abu Dhabi. In my opinion it is hands down better than Abu Dhabi favorite Steaks. The staff is always super friendly and the food is on point. I don't think you can go wrong with any item with steak in it. Not sure what they do to it before cooking (marinate, season, ?) but it is delicious. I'm a taco but so I usually go with either the fish tacos or chicken tacos. Both are topped with a yummy sauce and a fresh made slaw. Not something you would order at a Mexican restaurant is the seafood dishes but they are very good. Also like the chicken campesino. Definitely need to check this place out especially neighbors who always go to the same place
Best brunch in town!!! Love the churro and authentic Mexican seafood. Amazing and the price rocks too!!!! Everyone must try their ceviche! And the fajitas
A great joint for the authentic Mexican cuisine lovers! Sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view, this place is always bustling with crowds of all ages. Every dish I have ever had is perfect in taste & presentation. This was my very first resaurant I went to when I landed in the UAE six years ago & continues to be my "go to" favorite place :D
Great place for meetup. Friendly staff and food was delicious. Had the tuna steak with sweet potato mash and spinach and it was spot on! That was the first time i tried Tuna steak and was cooked to perfection. The combination with bbq sauce and sweet potato mash was beautiful.
Featuring authentic Mexican dishes served in vibrant and lively ambience and complimented by attentive service. Each dish is prepared by head chef Oscar Selfa and his experienced team, to create mouth-watering flavors that will transport your taste buds to the heart of Mexico. Diners can choose from an extensive menu and there is something to suit everyone, with dedicated evenings presenting a twist on Mexican dishes, with influence from the Americas and Spain.Amerigos offers indoor dining, or the opportunity to enjoy your meal on the poolside terrace overlooking the beautiful Yas Links golf course and Arabian Gulf. The restaurant also has an informal bar area, with an extensive list of beverages available, and regularly screens live sports including Formula 1 and the Premiership football. Throughout the week there are a number of promotions including the Amerigos Business Lunch and Happy Hour, which is every day from 6pm to 8pm with 50% off selected beverages. (c)
It was one of my very first meet ups in Abu Dhabi which actually happened last month. The reason to post my review late is that I wanted to write a blog about the event, which I will write in few days. Special thanks to Zomato and Amerigo for inviting me over to taste superb food and enjoy a beautiful night with beautiful people.
It was one of those nights well spent which you can safely call one of the very finest experiences. We attended "Explore Mexico" event and tried selected 7 dishes from seven different states of Mexico.
Taste was on proud display along with the supreme hospitality. The event was a huge success and covered by not only Zomato but other forums as well.
Dishes they served looked familiar to my taste as it was somehow, with few amendments and modification here n there, are present in our subcontinental cuisine as well. The presentation was top notch. Thorough professionalism was shown and displayed.
Live cooking demonstration had displayed to give more information to the participants to understand the concept of Mexican cuisine and the level of preparation in precision.
Special mentioning for the service as I was genially hosted by one of the agile looking servers Mr. Ahmed who took very well care of me, and in fact, of every body.
Beautiful settings, poolside, great hospitality, chilled weather, lit torches, awesome food, live cooking, presence of Mexican Ambassador, and beautiful host and fellow foodies. The perfect evening !
Strongly recommended to spend quality time with your friend, family, or loved ones.
Rayyan Umrani, thank you very much for that wonderful experience.
Well its a late review coz of tight schedule. It was a superb place for zomato meetup the ambiance was really lovely. The food it self was not over the moon but was different. I cant pronounce the name for dishes sorry lol. over all its a must one time try atleast.
Had never been to the Park Inn before and had no idea that such a nice outdoor area for existed. Went along for the Zomato Meetup so got to try a number of different menu items. I won't type out everything we tried but I'll attach a photo of the menu. To drink I had Horchata (rice based Mexican drink) which I really enjoyed. All of the food was really tasty, with flavours you wouldn't think to put together but that tasted great (e.g the Chiles en Nogada with beef, pepper, walnut sauce, dried fruits and pomegranate seeds). Everything except the churros was gluten free as they use corn flour for everything! The Mexican hot chocolate was a delicious finisher, very sweet but with a kick to it and just the right amount.
Food is awesome. I tried the whole menu there and there is not one thing I don't like. Outdoor sitting is very nice. Service is good although uneven. Definitely keep on going there on regular basis.
Been searching for Mexican food again today and ended up here for a late lunch. The atmosphere inside is so grim and smokey so we opted to sit outdoors by the pool which was nice as the weather is pleasant now so I do suggest you even come for just drinks if you wanted to! We ordered nachos, fish tacos and shrimp tacos... Food was decent but on the bland side ( you know when you feel something is missing) but I still couldn't fault it and I hate when that happens!!!!! Maybe I'll come again =)
Where is your fav Mexican in Abu Dhabi?
Mexican brunch, free flowing mojitos, splashing around the pool ... sounds just like my kinda Friday afternoon. . Last weekend, the family and I set out to Yas Island for the Acapulco Friday brunch at Amerigos Mexican Restaurant. Just FYI (Acapulco is a city is Southern Mexico) and the brunch was set up to give us a feel of Mexico, with Sombreros and maracas on each table, cactus all around... The best part was that, it was an outdoor brunch right next to the pool and thankfully the weather was perfect. We could use the pool as part of our brunch. I took my swimming gear along with me and but couldn't manage to swim. Once you see the pictures below, you'll know why. Burrrpp!
Interesting menu with a range of Mexican and not so Mexican dishes.
We went for the tuna ceviche to start which was a good portion size, however was under seasoned and could have been served with a wedge of line so was let down.
For our main courses we ordered the carne fajitas which came sizzling with an overload of peppers and onions, and a side of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa and four flour wraps. Big portion size however needed at least six wraps for the amount of food. Again, needed a little seasoning, however good overall.
The beef soft tacos were half the portion of he fajitas and needed to be spread over four rather than three tacos to make this main course worthy. Also came with a side of guacamole.
With two beers and a glass of wine this came to 385aed which seemed high for the flavours we had eaten.
The service was good, and we enjoyed learning about Bhutan from our waitress as the park inn employs six Bhutanese staff which must be a large percentage of those in the UAE.
Go to this place for some amazing Fajitas.
I went to Amerigos last month for dinner during a team outing. The ambience is cozy with dim lights. Not very noisy since it was a weekday and the place was just about 30% occupied.
I tried chicken nachos and prawn fajitas along with some sangria. The prawn fajita was so so good. The best I have tried so far. 5/5. Also the bread fry with ice-cream desert I ordered was delicious.
The service was a bit let down. Though the restaurant was not occupied a lot, there was so much delay in service at times. Nevertheless we had a memorable experience.
Great place to unwind during the weekend! My friends and I were in the mood for some nachos and quesadilla and what better way to search for Mexican cuisine than to use the Zomato app (Zomato peeps take note :P).
So that's how we found Amerigos and almost instantaneously decided that this was the place to try out.
Located on Yas Island at the Park Inn hotel, it's quite easy to get there. I quite liked the ambience and the food was great! We ordered the Beef and Chicken Fajita, Chicken Nachos, Grilled Prawn Quesadilla and Chicken Enchiladas. We even ordered a pitcher of Frozen Margarita and it was delicious. I can't comment on the authenticity but I would highly recommend Amerigos for Mexican cuisine.
Food is quite good. Loved the cheese dip. Was so involved with the food that the quantity felt lesser than my apetite. The flavor of dishes was quite authentic as you would expect from a Mexican joint. Great place to visit again and again.
Went there last Thursday during my stay in yas island. We ordered the steak, the nachos, the sweet potato fries, the calamari and chicken fajita. Everything we had was very good quality in taste and portions, do request the habanero sauce to add to ur fajitas, you will enter a whole new dimension of awesomeness. Drinks were good too. But the things I don't like, understaffed, the restaurant wasn't even 75% full yet we were struggling to call someone for our orders. However the staff seemed very friendly, Cheers to Bianca. Secondly, they need to work on their cocktail menu, bare minimum choices. Apart from that everything was good about this restaurant.
Not specially mexican interior but the best fajita and fresh guacamole in UAE. Choice of beef, chicken, mixed or shrimps one.
Pity I found it out so late and I had to suffer in Dubai without so tasty version of my fav mexican dish aaauuuu !
Mojito and home made ice tea are also my favourites.
I like to seat outside when the weather let on it - inside not acceplable smoking area !
Nice and friendly staff.
The best mexican restaurant ever in abudhabi!! U rarely find one nice mexican resto here but amerigos is best!! Most of the foods was delicious especially the tiger prawn n the tenderloin menus!! Nyummy!!!!! All the best!!!
The food was very good and probably the best place I've visited for food when I was in Abu Dhabi. I had the duo ceviche, a little bit salty but that did not stop me from being able to enjoy it, nice flavour. For the main I had the tuna steak, which was absolutely divine! The puree (?) that came with it was so creamy and smooth, will go back just for this! The service was good but everyone looked like they were in a rush.
This is by far the best Mexican food I have eaten east of the Atlantic. The ambience is terrific and getting a table by the golf course and water is simply worth it between November and March. The bar area is happening and is usually packed during game nights and weekends. The nachos and salsa are fresh and in fact on the house when drinks are ordered. The tap beers are excellent and the service is really quick too! Would go back here as often as I could for the food and beer!
Ambience - Great poolside ambience, perfect for dates. 5/5
Food - Authentic taste with signature dishes - 4.5/5
Service - Could have been better considering we were there on a weekday. 4.5/5
Hygiene - No complaints. 4/5
Price - It is reasonably priced, good enough to eat here more than once a week. 3.5/5
They have a potential to be one of the best restaurants in Yas island. The food is good especially the fajitas. The Mojito wasn't up to the standards so we switched to beer. Waiters are lovely and ready to help.
After a long & exciting day at the yas water park, Amerigos filled our pallet with some delicious mexican food. Veg dishes like the nachos, quesidillas and enchiladas are fantastic. We left satisfied and ready for Ferrari world the next day.
Back for a second trip and to a much improved taste (compared to about a year ago). Everything actually had kick! Fresh Guacamole with so so tortilla chips, don't think they are fresh. Had Tacos with Steak and the Steak Fajitas. Both had tender steak and good amount of kick and they have Dos Equis as well. How could that not be a great meal? Service was good, but when we were done with meal and wanted to move outdoors to one of the sofas, our server discouraged us. We went anyways and except for the annoying flight pattern above, it was a nice atmosphere. Will return again.
Que rico! Que lindo! Que bueno! Im obsessed with Latin American culture and this place makes it one of the best Mexican restaurants in UAE. I never expected Yas to have a place so authentic in its Mexican food that I would be drawn towards it and actually, dump Chilis to vote these fajitas as my favorite. Everything is so perfect and written in Spanish that I do not need to go to Mexico to polish my skills. In love with this place. Highly reccomended for anyone coming to Yas.
Best Mexican Restaurant in my trip to Middle East. Fabulous Mexican food, try Tenderloin or quesadillas , friendly staff and nice environment . Thanks to Bianca and Mathew. The Cuban manager was attentive and courteous, was in our table 2 times . I took also Sangria. Interesting and fresh ..
Highly recommend this restaurant for business dinner or family !!!
I absolutely love that place! It is such a pity that we do not have many Mexican restaurants in town. Fortunately though, Amerigos makes up for that loss. The seating area is both cosy and casual, inviting the hungry passers-by to sit back and relax while enjoying a truly Mexican experience. The enchiladas here are a wonderful treat, cooked to perfection, and topped off with generous portions of delicious cheese. Moreover, the drinks' menu always comes in handy, owing to the authentic Mexican cocktails that are brought forward by it. I would particularly recommend the lush sangrias and margaritas.
