Excellent place to have a drink! They have a cheese and wine buffet on some day. I normally don’t like goat cheese but the waiters really know what to recommend and they made me love it! The place is cozy and beautiful. I would definitely recommend it.
Nice location, especially for wine lovers. The cozy and warm atmosphere is nice. However, we had made a reservation which they apparently didn‘t know about. Some nuts or something else to go with the wine would have been appreciated - especially for the price...
Wide wine selection, cigar lounge, light bites.... nice spot inside the Rosewood hotel. La cava is the Spanish name for an underground room where bottles of wine are kept. Original idea!

Didnt expect such a place existed here..If you love wine you have to visit this place..there are endless choices of wine here...
Its a quiet place to chill have a conversation with friends, music is just right...

They also have a seperate cigar room which is pretty cool..
This is the place to be when you feel like goin to a much quiter place rather than the normal party,dance and loud music places...
I would surely visit this place again for wine..

We’ve found ourselves spending a significant amount of time at the Rosewood hotel in recent months. Whether it be at one of the popular Friday brunches held at Aqua and Sambusek or the ludicrously cheap all you can eat dim sum lunch, currently available at Dai Pai Dong. Yet what continues to surprise us about this luxurious offering on Al Maryah Island. Are the number of secret outlets that we happen to stumble upon every once in a while, from the aptly named Hidden Bar, to the more casual Glo. Both of which are excellent venues for happy hour sundowners overlooking the shimmering waters and glittering lights of downtown Abu Dhabi.

If you are a fan of wine like I am then you should try this place.
I love the decor and the charming cave like rooms they have.
Prices are a little high but it's ok for one night. They also have wine tasting nights which is a great thing!
Do try this place... not much food.. only tapas but a great collection of wines!

Atmosphere
Fine wine, cigars and whiskey. If thats your palette then you better head down to La Cava. The list of wines were impressive. I get overwhelmed when there is so much to choose from. I need not fear, Hassan was there. This gentleman at La Cava took care of us. He recommended wine and whiskeys. I am pretty adventurous and particular when it comes to whiskeys( only single malt). My adventurous expectations were met. This place is definitely tough on the wallet, but its worth the first visit.
Btw, what exceeded my expectation of Hassan was when he recommended whiskey tasting that happens every Wednesday at a different location in AD and he took the initiative to email us on the updates.
this place is like a cellar, they offer an extensive choices of wine. this is place is a heaven for wine lovers. nothing like it in abu dhabi.
the sommelier, isael is really good and informative. he takes his time to explain about the wine without rushing you. highly recommended
We came across La Cava at the Rosewood by chance....as we went to see what is available there at the hotel in terms of excitig new restaurants.
As it happens, we didn't didnt need a second invitation to sample some of their 'selection'.
What I like about this palce is the decor, the ambience - you do feel as it you are in a cellar, and the decoration is very inviting.
What was not impressive is that they dont have very many seats....and they dont serve food, or even snacks. It was explained to us that the idea is that customers have a pre-dinner aperatif, rather than treat it as a lounge, which seems a bit of a waste given the theme and size.
The wine list is extensive and there is a great variety of the wine available - but surely people would want to enjoy the goods on offer over time....rather than quickly before dinner
