Not sure what happened to the place, on previous visits to abu dhabi we were very impressed by the place leading us to visiting them again. Disappointing in many aspects, the service was not to standard, the food was not better that something that can be thrown together at home and the manager was rude and entitled. For the service, our waiter was kind on the rare occasions that he'd appear. The manager seemed as if he was well aware and content with the fact that his business would succeed on the business from tourists who don't plan on returning anyways. For the food, it was the biggest disappointment as previously we loved the meals that we were served. For me I had the corn-fed chicken which was bitter and served with some expired onion and mash which was spiked with flour for some reason. We shared the fried squid and calamari for a started and it was overcooked and not enjoyable. My family wasn't too happy either with their seafood dishes. I'll probably not go back there which is sad since we had good memories there.

Visited this Vasco's on a numerous times when in Abi Dhabi and never disappoints. Always great food and attentive restaurant team who provide a warm personalised welcome and super service. Lovely view adds to the relaxed outdoor atmosphere.

Worst service! Servers have attitude problem and specially the manager was so rude that we felt like leaving the food and going. Can never recommend this place to everyone. Food was very average.

Been here for Dinner with my family and ordered the Tandoori Pizza and the Vasco's Mixed Tandoori.  The taste of the food was amazing. However the quantity didn't justify the price.  Was good that we ordered the pizza and this was the standard size with no surprises. Free Valet parking available at the venue. Great scenic views from this restaurant.

Went to vasco’s after a long time. Good food and service as usual - though the menu options could be enhanced somewhat. unusually the restaurant was empty though we were there for a couple of hours - hopefully an exceptional off day for the restaurant.

It is like a hidden gem. We ordered mixed tandoori dish which my friend said it was tasty and filling and I had the Canadian lobster spaghetti which I liked but I wish the pink sauce was a bit less. For starter we had the fried calamari also fresh and tasty.

The food was raw, my seafood dish had more vegetables than seafood. We complained but the manager just gave excuses instead of taking the dish back and making a new one.

I visited Vasco's with a couple of friends of mine for my birthday dinner. We opted for the outside seating area as the weather was amazing. The lighting and ambience of the restaurant was very soothing and chilled out! We ordered the tandoori pizza (We being Indian :D) and the vegetarians ordered the Quattro formaggi pizza, both were delicious. A special shout out to the Penne al freddo which was absolutely scrumptious. We also ordered some ribs and seafood platter which was so and so due to lack of portion and a tad bit expensive. We went to Vascos for Friday brunch twice and not only is the atmosphere always great and the staff super friendly - the food is also very good! I liked the fact that I as vegetarian could choose something from the menu that wasn't included in the Friday brunch menu.

We were invited to dine-in at Hilton Abu Dhabi’s restaurant Vasco’s last week. This is one of those few restaurants we have heard immense in popularity since the time moved to the Capital on UAE. Hence we happily accepted this warm invite and decided to explore the place.

Have been to Vasco's several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. But last night we realised it is now past its prime. <br/>The table we reserved was not ready. No big deal, it was ready in 5 minutes and we all sat down to a nice evening in this half filled restaurant which isn't bad considering the next day was a working day. <br/>The service was pleasant but inattentive. They seemed to be short staffed. I decided to try and Indian fish curry which was unremarkable. Quite disappointed considering the calories I committed to this dish. <br/>My wife had the grilled salmon which is difficult to get wrong. But she was quite unhappy with it. At least it was healthy?!<br/>The 'medium well' lamb skewer was tough and should have come with a steak knife. Realised our guest was struggling through it with a knife which was as sharp as a butter knife. See what I mean about inattentive service. <br/>This used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Abu Dhabi. I'm really hoping it was just a bad day and will try it one more time for old times sake.

Good old days... I do not remember how often I was in this superb place... It is just great and THE restaurant at the earlier times in AD when we had only few high class restaurants... Was few days ago again here... Nothing has changed much... Still perfect...

Best Lobster Thermidor in Abu Dhabi. Great ambiance and vibes in the restaurant itself. Try the lobster bisque and the lobster. Pasta was not to my wife's liking so thumbs down for that. Staff are very nice.

Great place!Made a reservation to be on the safe side. We arrived and we're seated right away. Lovely outdoor seating. Quality food. I got Salmon steak & BBQ short ribs. Delicious. <br/><br/>The prices are pretty high end, but what do you expect from a 5 star hotel. Great service. <br/><br/>Definitely a great place for BRUNCH!

The Bear has been frequenting Vascos for many years and it is an Abu Dhabi staple. The setting is rather nice attached to the Hiltonia beach Club. The food has a nice mix of Italian as well as Asian cuisine. <br/><br/>My personal favourite is the dum Ki Daal with garlic Naan, it really is to die for! Pastas are of a good standing but are not Wow!!!! <br/><br/>This place needs to create a little more buzz around it by maybe re doing the inside the restaurant ie design as well as the Menu! As nothing has really changed since it opened its doors to the first guests. <br/><br/>Good Luck guys

Had been there for my First Valentine's day with my husband. Very beautiful ambience and food is good too. Cost of food is too costly for the quantity.

Great service with quite various options to select from, location is great with sea view, pricing is quite above average maybe coz it's part of 5 star hotel, friendly and with family atmosphere, I would definitely continue to visit them at least once a month

We have never been greeted so warmly at a restaurant than we were when dining at Vasco’s. A beachside eatery that forms part of the Hilton hotel, sitting on a prime spot of real estate along Abu Dhabi’s corniche. Our pre-conceptions of the Hilton were that it was an old hotel (one of the first in the capital) and that despite having a loyal client base, wasn’t the type of place that you would automatically think to visit. Yet life at the hotel is currently undergoing a major transformation with the re-vamping of the numerous food and beverage outlets.

Vasco's has been a very popular place from back in the day. It boasts excellent seafood, and outstanding Indian food. The Daal is legendary here and for a reason.

Excellent pasta and drinks. The bread was also fresh. The ambiance was a little dark but they had really good customer service in regards to catering to children.

We visited Vasco's with guests from overseas based on recommendations from friends and the restaurant certainly lived up to our expectations. Starting positively with the reservation process - as it is quite warm this time of the year I had asked for an inside seating but had requested a table with a view of the beach. We were welcomed by a smiling staff member who led us to a wonderfully placed table next to glass windows and a great view of the outside deck and beach.<br/><br/>The staff were very helpful in recommending wine and appropriate dishes - for starters try the fig bread, Oriental mezzah and the Arabian shrimps (although this was a small portion) and you will not be disappointed.<br/><br/>For mains we had the cod, seabass and the lamb fillet which were all excellent.<br/><br/>The stand-out feature for us was the great service...staff were very attentive and friendly towards everyone's needs including the kids.<br/><br/>Overall, we were all very satisfied with Vasco's and would certainly visit again!

Good food and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Love the outdoor area when the weather is nice. Delicous dal and all fish mains are great too. Its been around for quite a while but its somewhere you cant ever get bored of.

Good place to sit out overlooking the marina mall and breakwaters during winters.<br/>Food is mostly catering to non-vegetarians, hence, choices for veg dishes is very limited. Mostly you will end up paying non-veg dish prices without the meat in it.<br/><br/>Service was efficient, prices were slightly on the higher side (bcoz of location and ambiance)<br/><br/>Use your entertainer vouchers here. Sorry for the terrible pictures but this lobster Thermidor was fantastic! As was the atmosphere in Vascos @ the Hilton Corniche! The garden is so dreamy and the service was very professional. This place came recommended and I definitely recommend it to you!

I had the pleasure of attending the Valetine's dinner at Vasco's and i am pretty amazed on how the food preparation was, the ambiance as well as of course the amazing taste that played in my palate.  Unforgettable indeed!For starters, I had the Oyster Rockefeller.  It is a one oyster sitting on a bed of rock salt - which ignorant me, i thought was something else.  It was my first time to have an oyster and i was a bit hesitant, but heck it was fresh! there was no bad smell or after taste.  Great for a first time! The second set of starter was Tian of white crab meat and smoked salmon with tomato compote and graperfruit segments.  Again, ignorant me, i never knew it was crab meat! LOL.  It was so tasty i thought it was something else.  The presentation too was so lovely that i had a lot of pictures first of it before digging in.  The salmon chunk was sweet, only evidence of its freshness.  For main course, we had the Surf and Turf, Black Angus Beef fillet and lobster tail with trufle mashed potato and heriloom baby carrots.  I am not a meat eater, but the Angus beef is something not to miss.  Even if i had preferred it to be well-done, it is still juicy and tender.  The lobster tail is a freshness guaranteed - not rubbery as it is cooked to perfection.  The sides of baby carrots and mashed potato is a great accompaniment to this wonderful meal.Sad that i had missed the dessert of chocolate mouse and hazelnut ice cream - then again another reason to come back to this fantastic place.I have to make note of the great outdoor setting they have overlooking the Marina Mall and the sea.  Perfect for great weather. :)

My expectations were high about this place but I confess I got a bit disappointed. The ambience outside is amazing, when the weather is pleasant, but I did not find the food at all great! I had seafood pasta and I could taste the strong seafood taste as it was not well cooked... But the ambience outside was nevertheless great!! This resturant is quite expensive fot the quality of the food...

Yesterday was the most beautiful weather I ever saw in abu dhabi as it was drizzling a bit with mild wind making it an ideal time to enjoy dining out. I and my husband decided to go to vasvo for our dinner date and it was just perfect. The ambiance was well lit and had sufficient umbrellas however to be very honest I didn't enjoy the food at all. I ordered marinated chicken and my husband ordered fish for himself, the presentation was appropriate but chicken was very hard to chew and seemed to be overcooked. But because everything else was soo perfect it didn't really affect my mood. Lastly the place is a bit too pricey for the food I guess.

I've been here a few times and always had a good meal. Today however, I was a bit disappointed by the Portuguese Cataplana. I might be too critical because I am Portuguese and know what a great cataplana should taste like. The prawns were over cooked and too tough. The cataplana was way too sweet as well. My friends had the Tuna, asked it rare, it was cooked to perfection but thought it lacked taste. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed their salad bar, great ingredients and tasty dressings.

Went there with friends for a farwell party,we were 15 people,the best part of this restaurant is the seating outside to the beach.The service is excellent.I started with the Salad bar which was nothing extra ordinary.For the mains I ordered the Portugese Spicy fish with mashed potatoes.The hammour was fresh and it was spiced just right.Had the Bitburger draught to wash it down.We all finished with a shot of Sambuka.

I was here with my wife. We truly love the outdoor atmosphere here. The cocktails are well made. Love the pizza here. Menu could be more extensive. The desserts are ravishing. Over all a good place for date nights. Cheers :)

The service was very nice. Richard specifically was very attentive. We ordered appetisers along with main dishes. The appetisers were tasty but average. The main dishes were really nice. we ordered lamb shank which was really flavourful and HUGE, the daily catch (fish) was also tasty.<br/><br/>The desert was OK... but not bad. <br/><br/>The ambiance was relaxing and up scale, so was the service and music. <br/><br/>Enjoyed dinner but it was a little pricey... but it's part of Hilton... and thus the price tag!

Really good food in a very good ambience. We went there for the first time after hearing a lot about their hammour dish and it turned out to be brilliant. That experience has taken us back a few times and we have never been disappointed. Definitely a must-visit if you are not very price-conscious. And, reservation recommended even on week days.

This is my fav place when I wanna sit outdoors! It has an amazing view of the waters. The food, drinks menu is very impressive. I guess one of the best wine collection can be found here.<br/>The dishes are very well done, very well presented - fine culinary art! The staff is superb! and dont miss the brulee' and the souffle.<br/>If you have to celebrate and dont know where to go, this is the best place! You will find everything to make your experience truly amazing!

An absolutely amazing gem of a restaurant which is an institution here in Abu Dhabi. With a international menu and chefs who know what they are cooking the food is a delight here as is the friendly staff and the ambiance.<br/><br/>Possibly the best outdoor seating in the cooler months, absolutely love sitting outside and enjoying the ambiance with great food and company.<br/><br/>If you haven't been you are really missing out on one of Abu Dhabi's spectacular restaurants
