Just when u're craving for your mom's cooking and all the traditional dishes you have memories of.. you find Al Liwan serving it on a golden platter (literally) just as good and mouthwatering
Yummy food.. satisfies all taste buds! Great staff.. cozy and friendly!
I had half grilled chicken potato with lemon and garlic sauce. The taste is very good though it is is oily and the restaurant doesn't give any garlic sauce separately. Anyways I will order again.
Fantastic Syrian food. This branch in particular does the yummiest and most delicious Arab food in town. Dining area is simple but still cozy. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend their chicken tawooq, cheese manakish and chicken shawarma. A must try!
I love their arabic/ syrian dishes. Super yummy and clean. The prices are very reasonable as well. You get also the best freshly baked arabic bread with your meals. Great for suhoor during ramadan as well.
The best Arabic breakfast you can have. Don’t miss the cheese and meat manakish as well. The ambiance is authentic and vantage, at the end, ask for your crackers
Me and my mom were starving, I know Al Liwan from its AlNahyam branch but I only tried Manakeesh back then, so I suggested trying cornishe branch, first my mom hesitated to try then we went in, ordered Fattah hummus with nuts, Taboola, harak esbaou "I came for it only", lentil soup all of them were tasty, perfectly cooked, I think they are the only restaurant offering harrak esbaou and it was YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM, we couldn't stop ourselves from eating. Amirah Salah
I didn’t have a proper middle eastern Faten as good as this place! The original Syrian Faten as of made in a home!
Tabouleh also was fresh and not oily which is also a plus!
I managed to take a pictures after eating half the dish this is how good it was!
The food was sumptuous and plentiful and even small people, children are catered for. By the number of people this is a most popular place for both lunchtime eating, meetings and dining out.
Food is amazing , real taste of Syrian traditional food. However, this branch's delivery took very long time (1 hour and a half)! Hope they improve this.
Liwan is one of the good levante food restaurants in town. Their food is cooked to order hence it takes time to be served which is not a complaint but something to point out.
The food is well cooked and served hot and tasty, even the bread is freshly baked in premises
Go ahead and try the kebda plate, the beans (foul) with tahina, the falafel and most others
I tried almost everything on the menu and everything was delicious. The place itself is very cute and the decoration took me back to Syria. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Suitable for breakfast lunch and dinner.
Highly recommended.
