My 5th or 6th visit this year! Super yumyum! :)
The grilled squid head and pinakbet and gulaman are my top favorites! ooops! ensaladang talong too! uugghh! :)

rate would've been 4.5 had they included crispy crabs on what we have ordered originally in today's visit which is the boodle fight duo. :)) aaaaaand, they didnt even bother to inform us that crabs are actually unavailable. :(

but it's fine. overall this is still one of my fave filipino resto in town! :)

on the photos, only me and my fiancé actually finished the food! yeah!! #KeikoTrey

Been here for the first time with my girl friends' and since were 6 we try the boodle fight and we ordered navy's pride cost 224 aed with drinks. I'm craving for a grilled squid and order it for additional 25 aed. The food was ok but not expect to much. I love spicy food but in the menu there's no option if you like normal or spicy. When they serve the food there's no chili and lemon for the soy sauce,Those are good combination if you are eating in a boodle.

A military style of eating known as boodle fight. This is where tables are prepared and food are on top of the banana leaves. You eat with your bare hands. This gives you a feeling of HOME. The food is great and budget friendly. #boodleFight

Had Brunch here today with bae. Buffet for 35aed only (every Tues and Weds)! Out of all the food I tasted, I loved their Inasal. Everything else tastes great as well. I also loved their Mais Con Yelo served in a JAR! loved the concept of that one. Next time, i'll definitely try their Boodle fight. :D

TFK boasts boodle fight where you can have your food served in a "military style" and eat just with your bare hands. For us Filipinos we enjoyed eating filipino foods with our hands from time to time. I celebrated my birthday here last year, they accommodated like 25 pax with friends and colleagues upstairs (where they serve boodle fight). I'd say we enjoyed it so much, it was a blast. The food was okay though, nothing quite much "spectacular" except i liked so much their calamari. It was crunchy and tasty, the garlic fried rice tastes nice too. Java rice was oily.

My husband and I also went here for a casual dinner and I remember we ordered their pakbet and kinilaw. The kinilaw was a let down. I don't remember specifically why but for me it was a waste of money.

All in all, if I crave for filipino foods or there's occasion to celebrate with group of friends, TFK will always be considered. Also, if you want to experience boodle fight, you have to call them for reservation first. They do not allow walk-ins only (for preps purpose perhaps).

Re: There's a Food Fight in there!

There are some meals you simply can't eat on your own or as a couple; they must be shared with a troop of adventurous fellow foodies for the most enjoyable and memorable experience. Especially if you ditch the cutlery and go at it with your fingers and hands! The Boodle Fight is one such meal.

Being empty nesters, hubby and I sometimes get together with friends, mainly for the good company, but sometimes it also enables the sampling of foods we might otherwise give a miss. Today, with friends visiting us from Doha, I decided the time was right for a Boodle Fight, after having it on my foodie to-eat list for quite a while now.

Walking into this little restaurant and climbing up the steep flight of steps, our eyes were treated to the Boodle Fight spread of an extended Filipino Family who had chosen the Navy's Pride selection which was seafood rich. Encouraged by that beautiful sight, we ordered the more modest Navy's Platoon, which consisted of Chicken Adobo, Ginatang Sitaw at Kalabas, Pansit Canton, Inihaw na Bangus, Halabos na Hipon, and Atchara, all served with three types of rice: plain, Java, and Garlic.

We were informed we had to wait 40 minutes for our order to come as it would be freshly made from scratch. They made it in 30 and kept us busy with complimentary bowls of soup until our Boodle Fight arrived.

And was the wait worth it? It was definitely a sight for hungry eyes, and the experience, especially for our friends who had never eaten off banana leaves before, was a fun one. For me, it was a comforting experience in that I ate using my fingers, banana leaf style, like I often did back in Malaysia in southern Indian restaurants. But this was different in that it was not a small personal piece of cut leaf, but large, entire banana leaves with food to be eaten by a group.

Taste-wise, I have had better chicken adobo before (Vilma Tuliao, yours is definitely better!) as this adobo was a bit on the dry side, but I enjoyed all the other items, especially the Inihaw na  Bangus, and also the sago gulaman for a drink. We had to leave a half hour after the arrival of our food for our friends to catch  a plane, so we had to cancel the halo-halo we had ordered. Next time, larger group, more food, and halo-halo, too! Here's saluting you, Boodle Fight and Filipino Kitchen restaurant!

Our friend invited us to join him for his birthday and we were delighted by the Boodle fight . Several selection of rice and viands, though not aplenty but it was more than sufficient. Food arrived promptly but i suggest they put a buzzer of some sort on the second floor as its a bit of an inconvenience to go down to follow up an order

2016 review:
We had dinner here last night and ordered the Inasal Value meal and the Grilled Pusit. I loved the chicken, the pusit tasted ok but better if it was more tender. it was a bit rubbery but tolerable. They also had unli rice. When hubby asked for a refill of the Java rice, It took about 4 servers and the 5th one finally served it. and a few minutes before it was served? It should always be ready. The gulaman was ok. Nevertheless all went well except for the rice episode. Cute menu on a chopping board I must say. ☺

Had brunch here today. Place is a bit small, and cramped, with small tables barely enough to fit your orders in. Zomato says they open at 8:30AM but infact they open at 10am. It was a good thing that we arrived there at 10mins before 10am and we were allowed inside already or else that would have irritated me, since it was so hot outside. We ordered Chicken Inasal and Chicken Shanghai. Both were delicious 👍🏻. But they have small servings. But the good thing is that they have unlimited java rice to go with it, and unlimited iced tea too. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
