Pakistani cuisine located in Khalidyah. Had gone with friend for breakfast. Ordered Paya and Dil Khaleji with chappati. Paaya means Legs in Hindi-Urdu. Stuff was prepared well and served warm. Neat and clean spot with indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. They have an extensive food menu for lunch and dinner. Mostly preferred for BBQ dishes.
Al Abbasi is a very popular neighbourhood restaurant in The Dar Utal Mia area of Khalidiya. The many diverse nationalities that patronise this restaurant is testament of their popularity. They have a little gazebo like seating outside which is quite nice when the weather is cool.
Service is very quick and friendly. Even though they have a menu, you can always ask for the dish of the day and it will be served quickly to you. 5 / 5
All orders come with a delicious soup and a basic salad to start your meal.
One of the specialities here is the ‘Namkeen’ Biriyani or the Roast Biriyani. The rice is super flavorful and is absolutely packed with layers and layers of flavour and is one of the best Biriyani rice I’ve ever had. The Biriyani Rice 5/5
They give you a chunk of roast meat with the biriyani, and the meat can be a bit of a hit and miss. The meat is usually a mix of lean and fatty meat depending on what cut you get. The meat invariably is always fall of the bone tender, but the density of the lean meat is personally a little of putting. [Though I have mistook it for camel, the restaurant insists it is Australian Lamb!! Debatable.] 2.5 / 5
The restaurant also do a lovely version of spicy Haleem which goes beautifully with their freshly made bread. 4 / 5
They have an assortment of chicken dishes as well. Their chicken Tikka is also quite delicious and comes with cole slaw and fries. 4/5
Post meal, most times a complimentary dish of sweetened rice is served as dessert along with a sweet mint tea.
The restaurant offers great value for money, and a complete meal should not cost you more than Aed 25/-
Value for money 5/5
Overall Restaurant Rating – 3.5 / 5

A hidden gem cheap tasty food.. with generous portions and friendly staff
Bhai, Ek Mutton Namkin aur dho rotti...
Today buddy Asif n I wanted to try tasting #Pakistani #rotti, he blindly said Al Abbasi. We went and ordered One Mutton #Namkin and Two rotti. #1. Polite staffs
They’ve their own way of serving the food, beautifully presented vegetable #salad and also served us their own signature soup. Once we finished with the #soup, they brought us our ordered food, they served Namkin with mixed vegetable curry.
No salt bae or #Nusret can beat the taste of this... so yum and fluffy 😋 Namkin as the name 😋
Don’t know how tell you about the expression I made when I had a piece of Namkin wrapped with a piece of rotti dipped in the mixed vegetable curry!
Later we had the raita served in a small steel bowl.
Once you have finished with the food and wash your hands and be back to your seat as they give a muhabbat Sulaimani in a small glass, that makes the mind happy and tummy calm, it makes us relaxed as we come out from this Namkeen place.. You need to pay only 15 AED for all of this..
We got a small complement as shown in the pic, special #sweet rice. But we were so full that we couldn’t eat more and had to refused so not to waste the food and they understood it and we left with our tummy full and also heart...
Must try if you are in Abu Dhabi..
Good food, generous. Recommended for desi people’s. Must try . Eating there almost every 2nd day. Waiters are friendly, food on table within 5 minutes
Surprisingly great food, and very generous size food plates, I was here for lunch, it has a typical Pakistani menu, I wanted to try the rosh, which is basically stewed meat, It came with Bhindi, i loved it. And they give u free tea once you finish your lunch....Nice place tucked inside a small alley
It is a nice place to get touch of hometown taste... I have almost tried every item on menu... but My favorite is bhindi... and I used to eat there usually.
I love this restaurant: friendly staff, great food and service. My favorite is the wasla: cooked just right with flavorful rice and great gravy. 10 out of 10 would recommend: go for the food and not the ambience.
Its a small and economy Pakistani restaurant with friendly staffs. Their Mutton Pulao, mutton karahi, bindhi and Nihari Gosht were yummy. Its just costed less than 50dhs for 4 person! Also they have very good grill dishes in evening.
Great Pakistani food with good services. Chiken karahi and namkeen are must try things and they serve biryani with broasted chicken piece. Need more such restaurants in khalidya.
خيالي والاكل. ممتاز والخدمة مميزة والبرياني مافي منه والصالون عالمية
