Update: Aug 11, 2015
After a break of a couple of months during which we went around trying other restaurants, we came back to Al Sana for dinner. This time I went beyond my usual briyani and ordered an aloo gobi and beef fry. Hubby stuck to his firm favourite, the tandoori chicken wraps, and swore that this time, it was even better, i.e. the meat was juicier. He also enjoyed the aloo gobi a lot, although for me, I found it needed more spice. After all, he is a white boy from western US, so our spiciness scales are a bit different. :) We both enjoyed the beef fry, and found it tender and flavourful. The lemon mint at Al Sana is freshly made and you can really taste the lemon and the mint!

We like Al Sana. We have been there a lot. Prices are definitely for the man/woman on a budget (aed10 for their chicken briyani on lunch special, aed12 for their mirchi briyani). Food quality and taste is quite decent. Not fabulous, but acceptable. Waiters don't speak much English (we like Mr. Abdul Razak who always serves with a smile), but if you speak Hindi/Urdu, you won't have a problem. If you are hungry and need reasonably good, cheap food in a clean environment in a convenient location (right across fr. Al Wahda Mall), i recommended this little place.
