And after a very hot summer where we cannot sit outdoors, now it is time to enjoy the cool weather, yay!. We went this evening to have dinner at Dokuz, an outdoor Turkish Lounge located on the 9 Floor of the Fairmont Dubai. And because it is on the 9 floor, they called it Dokuz. Dokuz, means Nine in Turkish.

Very good drinks and yummy bar bites. The best selling point is the view. A low key rooftop bar that doesn’t get too crowded. A shame that the music is still to be improved
Dokuz is more of an evening, poolside lounge than a restaurant. Located on the 9th floor of the Fairmont Dubai at the very beginning of Sheikh Zayed Road, Dokuz is billed as a Turkish restaurant, not something you would guess from their resident fiddler, who played non-stop Arabic music throughout the time we were there. There’s no doubting that the setting is pretty. You’ve got the pool, the view of Sheikh Zayed Road from the 9th floor, and a perpetual purple hue from the building lights. It’s not spectacular but it’s better than sitting indoors at this time of year. Ah, and there’s a bar and there’s shisha.
The view is amazing and the food is delicious! The pizza did not have any thing special, but it was still good. The barbecue platter was soo good! The meat was extremely tender and all together was one of the best ive had in dubai (probably the best). Prices are good for what you are receiving and keeping in mind that is located in a hotel. Will definitely visit again.

Very nice view, excellent food, real Turkish taste. The staff are so friendly and the music is quite adequate to exchange conversation with friends

Visited for the first time last Thursday. The views are great as is the food and service. It was refreshing to experience 5 star service at a 5 star hotel (it doesn't always happen in Dubai). Hoping to return again soon with friends. :)

Great food, especially the grilled meat platter and strong cocktails! Was pleasantly surprised with the good portion sizes considering it is a lounge rather than a restaurant. Pleasant view of the old Dubai with the world trade tower and new Dubai with the museum of the future, especially sitting by the glass. Can't review the shisha but was considering it given the super relaxed atmosphere!
