Prime location, beautiful property, modern facilities and luxurious setting- that's Dakuz Lounge in Fairmont (Dubai) for you! This beautiful rooftop lounge by the pool is just dreamy! They also have happy hour discount for sheesha and drinks. The sheesha was really good. They also have valet parking at the property.
They also accept Zomato Gold!

Turkish cusine and amazing food. Chill near the pool while dinning. Nice view of Sheikh zayed road. They do have shisha which is also great.

Very good drinks and yummy bar bites. The best selling point is the view. A low key rooftop bar that doesn’t get too crowded. A shame that the music is still to be improved

The view is amazing and the food is delicious! The pizza did not have any thing special, but it was still good. The barbecue platter was soo good! The meat was extremely tender and all together was one of the best ive had in dubai (probably the best). Prices are good for what you are receiving and keeping in mind that is located in a hotel. Will definitely visit again.

Very nice view, excellent food, real Turkish taste. The staff are so friendly and the music is quite adequate to exchange conversation with friends

First time visited Dokuz lounge , had good experiences. View was amazing from the terrace staff was vert helpful and friendly, we had lots of food their with drinks, i must say food was amazing specially mezze, i like the way they let us choose from the options and combination was great.
I would recommend this place to go and enjoy your evening.

Turkish cuisine is very much consisting of Mediterranean, Arabic and similar flavors and that is what makes it so familiar and off course delicious to try out. Dokuz serves Turkish cuisine and that made me as excited as I never tried any restaurant before serving specific Turkish food. The ambiance is the highlight of this place, open air and beautiful view of the city along with lovely local music played by few artists live, this sort of cheers you up. This place I would like to visit after work just to relax myself along with some nice cocktails or delicious food. Service is really prompt and the staff is polite and very helpful. Menu is designed beautifully and has many great options for you

We received an invite from #Zomato to attend a dinner at Dokuz Restaurant located at the prestigious Fairmont Hotel in Dubai. The restaurant is on the 9th floor by the swimming pool in open air. The ever changing lights of Fairmont gives a new look to the place every minute. The ambiance is something to look forward to other than the food.

Got an invitation for Zomato Meetup with other foodies to Dokuz Fairmont and was super excited to give it a try and also meet other food addicts like myself. Once we arrived, I realized that Dokuz is an outdoor rooftop lounge with a view of SZR skyline and serves Turkish inspired cuisine and barbecue. After chatting up with the other foodies, we had the chance to meet up with the chef who gave us a live demonstration of how to prefect the Adana Kebab with his secret recipe. We were then seated and served our appetizers. To start off with we had a shot of Serbet (Turkish rose aperitif) which was cold and refreshing. We then moved on to our mezza’s where Chef Salih explained each one and their ingredients. We tried the below:
· Mercimek kofte: red lentil and fine burgul with herbs (only one word can describe this dish....Amazing)
· Cacik: strain yogurt with cucumber (refreshing)
· Patlican musakka: fried eggplant with tomato sauce (im not an eggplant fan if you read my other reviews, but this was a great recipe and I truly enjoyed it)
· Kumpir with sucuk: baked potato with sucuk and kashkaval cheese (the baked potato wasn’t quiet as delicious as the regular kumpir I’m used to, I felt it was a little harder, but the sucuk and the cheese were super delicious add)
· Hamsi (marinated anchovies) and marinated prawns (I would say this was probably my favourite appetizer. The prawns were alright but the Hamsi itself was unbelievably tasty)
· Pastirma with Turkish cheese selection: Pastirma is cured beef. (was alright)
We then moved on to the main dish where we were served the Adana Kebab the chef prepared infront of us. The Adana Kebab was a mixture of lamb leg and ribs meat with lamb tail fat and chili flakes. He prepares them using his hands and not the meat mixer so while having the Kebab you actually taste the difference where this one was juicer and you can actually taste the fat in the meat. The kebab came with a side of Bulgur pilaf (rice), onion salad which was amazing, grilled vegetables (green chili and tomato) and with a sauce of red chili, tomato and garlic sauce. All the ingredients came together and complimented each other and the dish was very tasty and filled with flavors.
After enjoying our meal, we were told that we had to leave all our phones etc and head inside for a special surprise. As we moved in, I couldn’t contain my excitement only to find out that we were having dessert in Noire (I have been dying to try this experiment). Noire is a dinning concept where you eat in total darkness and challenges your senses. You wouldn’t think much of it until you actually try it because what you honestly feel at that moment is indescribable. Not going to ruin the whole experience by going into details, but we had the pleasure of having dessert there as part of our Zomato meetup. We had Pistachio anglaise, candied rose petal, Turkish delight, kunafe paste, carrot and yoghurt ice cream and Turkish coffee powder. Now, what I had and what it actually turned out to be were again totally different images. The whole experience was thrilling and everyone should try it once at least (I don’t know how I would go through a 3 course meal of course with this concept though)

Overall, the entire experience was lovely and we left feeling like we stepped into turkey for a couple of hours and came back with the music and the food. Thank you again Zomato for having us.

I was invited to a #ZomatoMeetup dinner at Dokuz, authentic Turkish restaurant in Fairmont Sheikh Zayed. Located on the 9th floor, the restaurant has only outdoor seating right next to the pool.

We assisted to a live demonstration by Dokuz’ Chef Salih and detailed explanation on how to prepare the renowned Adana Kebab.

Our table was set right in front of the swimming pool and were served the following:

1- Mezzas (AKA Appetizers):
- Mercimek Kofte: red lentil and fine burgul with herbs
- Patlican Musakka: fried eggpland with sucuk and kashkaval cheese
- Kumpir with sucuk: Baked potato with sucuk and kashkaval cheese
- Pastima with Turkish Cheese selection

Mercimek Kofte and Kumpir were my favourite mezzas. Both soft, chewy and well seasoned.

2- Main Couse:
Definitely we were served the Adana Kebab with sides of Burgul, Onion salad, pilaf and spicy salad on the side. The Kebab was so tasty, tender, sizzling and juicy.

3- Desserts:

In a nutshell, it was a great evening with lovely fellow foodies over delicious authentic Turkish food. Many thanks to the #Zomato team for their invitation and #Fairmont for their wonderful hospitality.

I just got opportunity to go and dine there.
very beautiful view of sheikh zayed road, with a beautiful pool in the middle, very cozy ,relaxed & laid back atmosphere. they have live turkish band
appetizers were awsome, specially the burgul kufta, fried eggplant & their yogurt.
for the main we tried the Adana kabab, I have to say it was very tasty. it comes with a side of tomato burgul rice ( tasted very good) , herb lavash bread , grilled tomato & chilli with special semi spicy sauce along with it. at first bite it tasted abit spicy for me but then i relized it's not spicy as such, it's the taste of mixture of spices; very yumm.
they are only opened in good weather season, cause they are located in the terrace. however , i recommend you guys to visit there if you are craving authetic turkish food

Pleasant view of the old Dubai with the world trade tower and new Dubai with the museum of the future, especially sitting by the glass. Can't review the shisha but was considering it given the super relaxed atmosphere!
