(التعليق الأصلي) Chingon – An Outstanding Mexican Fine Dining Experience If you’re on the lookout for a fine-dining place that offers classic taste with tempting fusion and a playful atmosphere, look no further and reserve your table at Chingon! “Chingon” is a Mexican slang word for “Cool” or “Wicked” and depicts exactly this in terms of the scrumptious cuisine offered here. The stunning Mexican eatery is located in Business Bay and has been taking the Dubai food scene by storm ever since its inception. The artistic delicacies served at Chingon truly depict a rich Mexican culture blended with a perfect modern twist to appeal to every food lover’s palate. Sounds too good to be true? Scroll down to give yourself a visual treat to the feast we indulged in at our recent visit. For starters, you get to chose from a wide array of raw bar selection, seafood and some vegan options as well. We selected Scallop Tostada, Guacamole and a couple of oysters that were locally sourced from @DibbaBay. Here, we’d like to appreciate the fact that how despite of being a Mexican Joint, Chingon supports local businesses by sourcing fresh produce from them. Also, all those of you who adore Burattas even the slightest bit, must try the Chimi Buratta at Chingon. It’s beyond exceptional with a spicy pickle that elevates your Buratta experience to next level amazing! You may also want to try the restaurant’s version of hummus, called Sikil Pak, which is made from pumpkin seeds. The seafood is all so good and fresh, we had the Snapper Ceviche and Ajillo Tiger Prawns, both of which we’d highly recommend. From the taco menu, our pick was the signature Chin Taco ElDorado that was stuffed with a thick slice of Wagyu Beef, topped with fresh truffle and even consisted of a 24 karat gold leaf. We also devoured some Lamb Shank which had been slow cooked for several hours and the meat was so tender that it literally dropped off the bone with one touch. Overall, the main courses were portioned so generously, easily shareable between 2 to 3 persons, which was yet another win for us foodies. The dessert too was so irresistible that we couldn’t leave before satisfying our sweet-tooth with all its chocolaty goodness. Summing up, the entire meal was one of the best that we’ve had in a long time and we’re certainly adding this new place in our top favorites for the year. All in all, we were completely awed by the interiors, overall ambiance, service and most of the sensational flavors of each and every dish that we tried here. Besides, the Burj Khalifa and canal views, through the restaurant’s floor to ceiling windows, simply add to the overall fine dining experience at Chingon and their rooftop is something that you can look forward to for dining amidst New Year eve’s fireworks. The entire Mexican heritage seems to await being explored as you step inside.
