There are only few Inner Mogolia restaurant in U.A.E, from my point of view, Xiao Wei Yang is the best, fine dining, the ambience is just refreshing, food back and now is tasty, good service, you can customize to your taste prederences by creating your own sauce.
A great experience, I would recommend Xiao Wei Yang to all.

Actually this is the first time i've tried Mongolian hot pot. The experience is great, the food is authentic, and the staffs are nice. Definitely will visit again!
The Mongolian hot pot is put in the center of the table. Ingredients are brought on big platters. Everyone has ladles and chopsticks to add or take from the steaming boiling broth. The feature is lamb stripes paper thin. You dip it in the broth briefly for pink or lonver for well done. There are tofu, green leafy veggies, mushrooms, and all kinds of current seasonals. As the pot cooks down, they will add more. This is a wonderful winter party meal. Children love it!

Hot pot is such a comfort food. I first came to this restaurant in January 2014 and ever since I always go here on most weekends!! The food selection is so authentic Chinese. Must come here to get some nice hot pot.
I’ve always love the soup base from Little lamb, as a large restaurant chain, it’s amazes me how they can keep their quality and standards with their staff up high.
They staff are very welcoming, attentive and of course as a regular, they even remember our orders and deliver as soon as we sit down.
Busy on the weekend, you might have to queue for sometimes if you come during dinner time between 17.00-1900.

Going into a new restaurant or trying new cuisines is something some people dred and try to stick to places or food items they like. But believe me its worth it, while not all experiences pan out well, some can really surprise you and become a staple in your eating out plans.
My recent food review took me to a chinese restaurant which served Hot Pots or steamboat. Hot Pot is basically a Chinese cooking method, where you prepare your meals yourself. A pot with simmering stock/soup is placed on a hot plate in front of you and you can add ingredients in the stock, like thinly sliced beef, lamb, seafood, vegetables, dumplings or tofu till they are cooked. Believe me it is the easiest meal you have prepared and adds to the charm of eating this dish.
Once cooked you can either have the meal as a soup or take out the ingredients and dunk it in a sauce (which you tailor make) before devouring the savoury meal.
So what did I order?
1. Mongolian Spicy Hot Pot - AED 40, you could also go for the tomato or basic hot pot, but I love my spicy food.
2. Lamb tenderloin - AED 50.5, many choices, so its truly up to you.
3. Fresh Shrimps - AED 38, get them do remove the shells, makes life easier
4. Shiitake Mushrooms - AED 13
5. Handmade Noodles (spinach and carrot) - AED 11
6. Sauce... this comes as part of the meal.
Taste and tell
Before you start your culinary experience, you should head towards the sauce bar, where you whip up your own sauce! While you have many ingredients to choose from, I went for a spicy sauce, the base for which was seasme paste, followed by chilli oil, mashed garlic, mushroom sauce, hot spicy sauce, which I topped which fresh coriander, green onion and chopped red chilli. I did tell you I like spice! You don't need to follow the ingredients I used for the sauce.. you have many options you can choose instead.
Back at my table a bubbling pot of spicy broth was ready for some self cooking magic. As the meat was thinly sliced, once dunked in the pot was ready in less than 2 mins.
The meat, shrimp, mushroom, noodles were perfect, dunking them in my own personalized sauce just added another dimension to the meal. Big shout out to the noodles which where superb!
The quaint restaurant just adds to the charm of the overall dining experience.

This is my very first review of any restaurant on Zomato. I was really impressed with the Chinese authenticity and quality of the food. The Gongbao chicken and pan fried spicy chicken are a must try at Xiao. Love it
A great place to have Hotpot in JBR. Friendly staff and easy menu makes you comfortable to order your food. Had fun adding veggies and meat to the hot pot and also making your own sauces. Need to spent at least an hour to have a perfect Hotpot.
Love the lamb kebab but then it makes us curios why the ice bucket doesn’t look good unhygienic..
Table reservation is a must to secure a table coz its really having a huge queue outside.
Xiao wei yang was one of my go to places in Dubai. Their hot pot is really authentic and SO GOOD! The half and half spicy and non-spicy broth is the best option. Their sauce section is really nice as well. I love ordering a combination of veggies and some non-veg- the chicken. The carrot and spinach noodles are great as well. I love this place!
Little Lamb Xiao Wei Yang is a franchise of award winning, authentic Chinese restaurants which specialise in Inner Mongolian cuisine, specifically hotpot. They’ve been on the UAE culinary scene since 2005 and today have seven or eight branches spread between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including this one opposite the Habtoor Grand Resort in JBR. The interior of this Xiao Wei Yang branch is stereotypical of this kind of restaurant with each table having an electric hob (where the hotpot is kept bubbling). On one end of the restaurant there is a condiments and sauces buffet from where you concoct your own sauce.
My husband and I have been here many times and it’s commendable if you want some Mongolian hot pot.
We brought many friends with us in this place and they left the restaurant full and happy. ♡
For first timer, we recommend you to try the combo version (cost 99dhs) good for 2-3 pax. Always, always get the sauce. Mixed garlic with sesame paste and some soy, and other spices.
Hotpot... best comfort food during the pleasant n cold dubai weather.. just like and tried the hotpot with veggies, tofu platter, greens, mushrooms platter... taste of the hotpot soups are not very consistent though... but surely satisfies the hotpot cravings...
You always wonder why would someone go to a hot pot place because you most often can’t even taste any flavor because it’s so spicy hot. At little lamb they have the spicy and basic - get the combo if you want to take a break between dips. We tried the “lamb/beef platter along with bamboo shoots and needle mushrooms ... basic as I said is good for a few dips in between the spicy dips, but spicy is the way to go

If you haven't tried their pan fried chicken yet, then drop everything and do it right away! Yes, this dish is so spicy it feels like you are eating fire, but it's addictive all the same. It's also authentic in taste with real szechuan pepper added generously for the extra kick - you will not be able to stop until you've polished the plate. I usually add fried tofu and shiitake mushrooms - the resulting portion is enough for 2 people meal. Their sesame balls are really tasty as well but you can get them only when ordering the special deal, not sure why though... well, I'm about to order the chicken, bye everyone!

I visited this place back in 2015 and it's weird that I forgot to rate this place. This was the first time I tried hotpot, which itself was a unique concept to me because I was used to going to restaurants only to be served prepared meals. Here, I was preparing it myself (not from scratch though) and having it.
This place was recommended by one of my friend and we both went to try it out. We ordered both Basic and Spicy Mongolian Broth within one pot that was divided in half. Then, we ordered Fish Balls; Shrimp Balls; Seaweed and some other vegetables while preparing it.
There was a wide selection of sauces (my favourite one was the garlic peanut sauce). I hope this is still there. We heated the broth and then added the vegetables and fish balls in the boiling broth and stirred till it was cooked to be eaten. The taste? It was an absolute delight. The spicy broth was extremely spicy. I could feel my tongue burning. Those added with the sauce added to the flavour. The restaurant had a rule to finish whatever sauces were taken from the sauce buffet table (as they called it) or else it would be charged, which I think was a good idea to avoid wastage.
Later on, we ordered Fish Tofu and Crab Sticks because we were enjoying it. You can even have the broth plain also but, mind you, the spicy one can make you cry.
If you're a fan of hotpot, this is a highly recommended place.
This is my absolute, favorite comfort food spot in Dubai. Food is always fresh, well prepared. I recommend the half & half hotpot, meat is a must. Dip is amazing (I just put everything in esp the peanut sauce). There is waiting time for busy days and dinner, but so far never more than 30 minutes. Cures hangovers too. 😂

Having tried a few hotpot places in Dubai, I think this is the best branch yet. The broths are comparatively more flavorful and not watered down (also makes the spicy one spicier). Mongolian noodles are fresh. Place gets busy so would be better off making a reservation on the weekend
Authentic Chinese I must say.. Can’t get over this place.. I go there every other day as it’s so close to my place just to have variety of sauces they offer .. and Wonton soup.. Few things like fish/Prawn balls are not so good.. but can be overlooked by better things.. Lamb Pie is again so tasty

Visited this obviously to try the HOTPOT experience.. Food was good if you have a taste for it. The restaurant smells though like a fish market! The Hot Pot tastes good with more of veggies like lotus stems mushrooms bamboo shoots etc with a lil bit of non veg... Overall a good experience

I enjoyed eating the hotpots here but this was the first time I ordered delivery and I was not disappointed. I ordered the spicy incense pot and golden fried bun. The incense pot is a large serving that could feed 2-4 people. Tasty and spicy with szechuan peppers that will burn your mouth - reminded me of my favorite dish in Singapore. Only slight disappointment is that it did not come with broth.
Golden fried bun were crunchy outside and soft on the inside - especially good when piping hot and dipped into the condense milk.
This place is really go for going there for dinner. I love to take friends that haven’t been in a Mongolian place before, I love how happy they leave. It is a good experience to go there for dinner. Over the weekends go early, it is always packed.

As my brother was talking about eating LAMBPOT, we went there. It was interesting. For the one who haven't been to exclusive Chinese restaurant it will be more interesting. I don't know the name of item I have taken photos. I am not able to see it on menu also. There was a bowl of induction cooker on table with two type of soup. We will be served with meat slices, fish cubes, crab meat, noodles( 2 colors), fish balls, meat balls, transparent noodles, paneer etc. We can cook it by our self each items and at last we can drink soup.
People going first here take time to eat and select the sauces which we should ask.

I can't stop raving about this place ever since I visited last week. The whole concept just blew me away and I can't wait to visit again. Cooking your food on your own with a choice of broth, meat and veggies was so much fun. Great fun and other friends too and also a great place to take your date. You'll be having so much fun doing things together. Tried the ice tea too and loved it's authentic taste.
The food is pretty tasty. I only wish I had thought of rice when I ordered the meat.

Been here a couple of times, really unfortunate that the Barsha branch had to close down but it is the best hot pot experience I’ve had in Dubai so far. Took my parents here and they were skeptical at first, but once the food was on the table, all was well.
On the outside, the restaurant doesn’t really grab your attention, especially when it’s so close to the plethora of restaurants on offer at the walk JBR, but oh do things get better once you’re inside!
Also, the fresh buns with condensed milk, I would keep coming back for more!

I walked past this restaurant for more than a year and a half, someone told me that I should give it a try and so, myself and a group of friends gave it a go. It was amazing! The food was great and the service too. I especially love the “sauce station”. We were lucky that there was a table available but I would recommend making a booking to avoid any disappointments, as it can get rather busy.
If you are not familiar with JBR and the taxi driver is new, you would probably spend too much money and time in the taxi or get lost when you're driving. You can hardly find it if you don't look closely, Good thing it's located nearby popular hotels like Le Royal Meridien and Habtoor Grand. The place is always packed so we always come early say right after office hours if you are planning to have dinner before it gets really busy or else you have to wait in queue for sometime. I just recently got acquainted with this soup and I'm loving it specially in this season. Will keep coming back for sure!
Great little hot pot place tucked in at the end of JBR walk, easy to miss if it weren't for the dusty red lanterns strung outside. Inside, the seats are comfy and the service, prompt and efficient. They have a good selection of meats, veggies and grilled options. The Mongolian grilled lamb is the best I've had in Dubai, perfect amount of spice on juicy bite size morsels of lamb. My only complaint is that the soup is usually on the salty side making any sauce unnecessary, but for those who don't care you make their own sauce anyways, it's an added bonus.
Finally tried hot pot for the first time, great food, wide range, go for the wagyu and maybe the shrimps, the dumplings and shrimp fried rice were taste less, the steam is nearly always suffocating you so choose your seat wisely! Reservation is recommended since its overly crowded.

OMG - my new favourite place for some good HOT POT! Get your freinds together and get ready for what is a fun food experience. Your two basic broths come, one is too spicy in my opinion (red) and the other is a white broth, i believe it is chicken. Then you select what you want to add to it. Array of meats, fish, dumplings. Best picks are the shrimp dumplings, needle mushrooms, glass noodles, beef and morning glory.

Amazing place hiden in a corner.... Very different food nice ambience service too was quick and friendly.... Needle mushroom was awesome... Even the veg noodels and prawns starter was so authentic and different with different spices... The Mongolian beef pie was also good... If you want to try some different, this restaurant is for you. You will be placed on a table with a cooking station in front t if you. Then, a hot pot will start boiling, where you can plunge different type of food, based on your order: from minced meat to vegetable through noddles, mushrooms or shrimps. It cooked actually very fast and you have little spoons to remove from the pot to your plate. I recommend the sauce (if you do do not know, ask the waitress for sauce combination and how to cook). Tasty food and good fun to cook yourself.
If my friends are craving for a hot noodles we are definitely coming here is near in our work place and it easy to find. Friendly staff and comfortable place to hang out with friends. That way we keep on coming back here.

The first time I visited came across this chain was in Sichuan, where everything is either a) dipped in chili oil, or b) deep fried in it. Seeing the outlet by the creek brought back fond memories and the food was on par with that in China. The fact that they have another outlet near Grand Habtoor means I can visit it more readily when the desire hits.
Hot pots are necessarily steamy affairs, and the air conditioning at the marina outlet struggles to keep up, which is what it is, but if (when?) the chili sweats hit, they are harder to handle. However, the whole atmosphere of getting involved in the cooking of your food and the ability to customise your dipping sauce and choose what you want to eat (or select a platter of uncooked meats and veg.) make this a great experience which delivers well. As some other reviewers have mentioned, you can choose the cooking broth to be spicy or less so, or a combination of the two, which is what I default to.
The pricing is reasonable, and can become more so if you are smart with what to order - don't order too large a platter to begin with, and you can add specific dishes as you go along - you may not like each part of the tasting menu.

One of the most popular hot pot places in Dubai offering an extensive hot pot and ready to eat items on the menu.
We usually order combo #3 with the half and half broth. It's enough for about three quite hungry people. I love the selection of tofu, fish and shrimp balls and vegetables on offer. The meat that comes with the combo is not super tender but good for the price point. Sauce selection is big and varied enough and features the usual hot pot classics. The scallion pancakes are a must try if you like savory type bread.
I love coming here for the experience. It's definitely more work to consume your food but also quite enjoyable. You'll end up sweating and smelling a little bit like soup and meat but that's a price I'm glad to pay for a delicious hot pot experience.
Shabu-shabu in town! Never disappoints me! For real and authentic shabu shabu, just go here! The price is very reasonable! I usually bring my family or friends here. While waiting for the pot to cook, you can also enjoy their toasted bun!

It was our first time there or any hot pot place for that matter, so we asked the waitress to help us out with the menu. We eventually ordered:
- The mixed hotpot. Mangolian and spicy.
- noodles
- Prawn balls
- Prawn dumplings
- kang kung
- mushrooms
- spinach
- veal tongue
Both Broths were yummy. The spicy was really spicy! We didn't cut the noodles before putting them in the hot pot, so it was painful to take them out once cooked. Next time must remember to cut them up!
I didn't much care for the prawn balls and veal tongue but everything else was fantastic!
