Ghee Rice is located in Flora Inn hotel in Garhoud which has ample place to host parties for more than 150 guests. Ideal for birthday parties or Office get togethers. Nice Ambience with comfortable searing arrangements, good food, Excellent service makes it a relaxing experience. They are Serving authentic south Indian as well as North Indian recipies & Continental dishes. They offer breakfast in morning as well. The Manager Siddiq Babu saw that all the guests from a birthday party and restaurant guests were well taken care of.
Berry supreme is a blend of fresh Berries Strawberry & Blueberry with Mango.
Healthy beats is a blend of Beet, Ginger,Carrot & Green Apple.
Cream of Mushroom soup & Attinkaal (Paya) soup. Both the soups were superb in taste, we nowadays do not get traditional well done Paya soup.
In starters we took Tandoori Mixed Platter with a mix of Chicken, Sea food & Lamb cooked in Tandoor like Irani Kebab, Malai Kebab, Tikka Kebab, Lamb chops, Calamari, Prawns & Fish Tandoor.
In the main course we tried their Fish Tawa fry, Mangalorian Fish Curry with Ghee Rice and Prawns Biryani.
In Desserts we had the traditional Paysam and Kulfi. Paysam was very refreshing.
It was a very nice delivery and food quality. My order reached early.
My orders were-Mushroom risotto and Aloo gobi. Both were good.
The overall idea I had that it's focussed more towards Indian and south based restaurant. But I may be wrong.
The risotto was good but lacked the typcial creaminess, the rice was a bit harder than it should be, and corinader leaves were a put off. But reasonably well made. Quantity was quite large.
The aloo gobi was 10/10. Absolutely brilliant and the aloo was not too much. Gobi was just the right way between fried and steamed. Very well done.
Price was very reasonable. Pocket friendly.

We are the kallumakayi rice and fry .The kallumakayi fry was awesome and the rice was very flavorful.The pasta my daughter had was also really nice .Excellent customer service and ambience added to the love.The quantity and quality was also correct .Looking forward to coming back .
Ghee rice restaurant is one of best option for family dining those who love Indian foods. I went with my wife and son for the lunch and had GRR non veg combo, Bamboo biriyani and mixed kebab platter. All of these dishes were really tasty and served hot. Restaurant is very spacious, clean and nice ambience. They follow all the covid19 safety rules. Staffs are very friendly.. I would recommend this restaurant.

If you are in Al Garhoud and looking for a great option to try Indian food then Ghee Rice is your best bet. As we entered the place, the staff greeted us and got a seat of our choice. Restaurant was very spacious, spick and span, it is a tidy restaurant with a very beautiful vibe.
We started of with the signature Attinkaat soup, it had flavourful spices and infused garlic. Mindblowing soup. For starters we tried Inji puli prawn, well spiced and uniquely infused with sweetness of caramelized sugar. Curry leaf paneer was pickled based with andhra chilli, Dynamite prawns had honey mayonnaise sauce, one of the best. Tandoori chicken platter had chicken tikka, makai tikka, hariyali tikka and chicken kabab accompanied with chutney n salad. All the kababs were very well marinated and grilled to perfection.
Mains we tried were Australian lamb shank biriyani, long grain basmati rice mixed with aromatic spices and overnight cooked giant lamb shank and cumin yogurt. It tasted heavenly and thoroughly enjoyed by biryani lovers like us. Highly recommended. Mangalorian fish curry was coconut based and went perfectly well with the appams. Fish tawa fry, king fish was fried on the tawa with the right Indian spices.
Logaymet, deep fried battered balls topped with date syrup was the perfect way to end the scrumptious meal.
It was our pleasure to meet the Executive Chef Malik Basha, who gladly left his busy kitchen to be with us for awhile to share the passion and his back stories. Malik Basha you are a food magician.
Overall we had a lovely experience. Stunning food fantantic service and enjoyable experience. Presentation is as good as the taste. Definitely a place to go.

It was a Thursday afternoon when me and my friend visited Ghee Rice Restaurant for a lunch. It was a buffet. Interestingly the buffet was only for AED 35/- with a decent variety of dishes.(worth for the money you pay). Food was really tasty. Desserts can be improved. Ambience was excellent with a huge space for dine-in.

This was the first time I was having food on Banana leaves. We ordered traditional food that used to have on Onam. They served lots of verity of food.
Food was very tasty specially dal rice & kheer.
I think single plate Quantity is itself enough for 3 people.

It was a very good experience with a smile when they give service, the nan and the paneer was so delicious and mouth watering.

Coming to the food part - we had gone there for lunch. We had Erachichoru, the GRR special non veg combo lunch and bamboo Biriyani.
The GRR lunch was a good deal !!! We could taste the Aripathiri , chicken curry two pieces of chicken fry , ghee rice and beef roast with payasam ( raita ,pappad and pickle was also there). Qty is awesome. More than sufficient for one person. You can give the payasam a miss😉.
Bamboo Biriyani was yummm tooo . The chicken pieces were tender ,juicy and flavorful. YOU SHOULD HAVE IT HOT !!!! One of the best bamboo Biriyani that I have had.
The hit of the day was the Erachichoru. Just loved the rice and meat combo !!! The masala was perfect... The cooking time was perfect ... The blend was good... Altogether my favourite dish!!! 😋😋😋

Nice ambiance. Good food and serves a huge quantity. I tried some traditional Kerala cuisine which we normally do not find in other Kerala restaurants and I must say they were very good.
Ambience was very good. We ordered Attinkaal Soup and cream of Mushroom Soup. Both are good. For starters we have ordered Curry Leaf Paneer and Fish Tawa Fry. Curry leaf Paneer was different one. Must try one. Fish Tawa fry was awesome. For Main Course we ordered Wayanadan Chicken Bamboo Biryani, Ghee Rice, Fish Mango Curry, Appam, Kerala Parotta. Ghee rice was ok. The Wayanadan Chicken biryani was the best of all.

We visited Ghee Rice for dinner. Having heard about if from our friends in Abu Dhabi wanted to try this out when they opened a branch in Dubai. The ambience is beautiful with exquisite wall art. As I learnt from their menu they are zealous about showcasing the local art which is displayed beautifully on the walls. The restaurant is quite spacious and well lit. Very good for family outings.
We tried range of dishes like the berry supreme, passion ranger, lentil soup, fattoush salad, whole wheat salad, black diamond, curry leaf paneer, mixed veg curry, veg biryani, appam, gulab jamun, paysam and brownie. All dishes tasted good with special mention to curry leaf paneer. The paneer was so succulent and soft. The coating was out of the world. The spices used were extremely fresh and flavorful. Must trying if you are here. The veg biryani was also good, and portion was generous. Service and prices are good.
They have express lunch starting from AED 26, will return to try that.
Me and my friend are not fun of Indian cuisine But since the staff recommend us to try their butter chicken, I was in love with the taste it exceed my expectation. 🥰🥰The staff was really accommodating from welcoming till bid farewell. We tried their iftar buffet priced at AED 69/- The food was totally worth the price. Most of the items tasted really good specially the Fish Biryani, Squid gravy, Gajue is halwa. All other dishes were also good. If you are looking for a good restaurant for iftar and preferably Malabar Menu, you can go for this 👍 We went on a weekend and was just too crowded. So I would have proffered going there on a week day. Overall I recommend this place 👍
Dropped in on a Thursday for Ifthar with friends. The ambience of the restaurant is probably what catches your attention when you get in. The place is well lit with comfortable seats and lots of space. The buffet was well set and with a good variety.
They had a nice selection of snacks, fruit, main course and dessert. The chicken mandhi was just perfectly cooked, the beef fry was well made and not too spicy. The live pasta counter was a nice touch. The variety in food is what we enjoyed. The service was prompt. Overall we all enjoyed the food and the ambience
Very glad that I finally have a superb Kerala cuisine restaurant right next to home. I recently tried out the Iftar buffet at Ghee rice and the selection of items were great, taste was amazing and pricing is affordable at 69 aed for the iftar buffet. The selection included multiple salads, starters like samosa, variety of fatayer, spring rolls etc and rose milk(i loved this), jalap(arabic drink) excluding the usual watermelon juice etc... Once this was done we started with main course by trying lamb ouzi, chicken biryani(5/5) with chicken fry(5/5), noodles, kebabs, meen curry and various other indian and indo chinese dishes. Appam, porota, kuboos etc was present as breads too. I liked the brownie in sweets too. Overall the buffet is well worth the money because the taste, service, ambience and selection was marvelous. Hope to be back here soon.

I have been seeing their set menu lunch option and last week I had a chance to try out. I ordered the south indian version which had some fried bread, a beef dry curry, fried chicken, a dhal curry and another chicken dish along with their signature Ghee rice. I must say the ghee rice was bland and nothing more than steamed basmati rice. There was a little confusion with my order and staf brought me the north indian version. They realised the mistake and brought the right option without delay. The restaurent is very spacious and has a good ambience. I will definitely visit again to try other options.

Its quite far in the city but definitely worth the effort to go here. They have buffet and set menu. Food is pretty much delicious and the service is also good. The place is decent and the ambiance is aesthetically beautiful. There's this cute area with a pink motorcycle where you can take cute photos. What i can recommend is to play atleast a lively or acoustic music. Totally recommend this.
This is an excellent place to try south Indian dishes. we had dinner at this restaurant. Since we were in the mood to taste some south indian dishes. For dinner, we ordered Inji pulli prawns, Fish moilee, naans, erachichore and kuluki sarbath. A definitely must visit restaurant.

If you are looking for a place to have great south indian food with a twist then you should definitely try this place out. I am not a big fan of south Indian dishes as it doesnt suit my taste buds but this place is something unique. We were served with a set menu specially prepared by the chef . From Soup to Appetizer to main course to dessert everything tasted good and had it own taste. I loved how the food was presented. You will literally get a feel of fine dining in this restaurant . We went there on a weekday and I was amazed to see the crowd .

Well its yet another place to have food. But this one is new and hence the ambiance is great. The furniture the dinnerware the cutlery is very unique. Very impressed. I was at a business dinner so could not click more pics. The Arabic food is very authentic. The salads and condiments were very fresh and tasty. The chinese food is also great and so is the North Indian food. You should definitely visit at least till everything is new and good.
Away from the main city, away from the crowd, this quiet restaurant is all you need to indulge in some delicious Indian food.

We celebrated our baby’s first birthday in Ghee rice flora inn hotel recently.For 25 people they had arranged perfect Kerala buffet which includes fish mango curry,beef coconut fry,chicken varutharachath etc. It was 60 Aed per head and they provide free party hall..All the dishes were delicious..Highly recommend this place for their food and hospitality..

Lentil and seafood - both of them are amazing specially the seafood one with a base of coconut milk.
DRINK
Had two Mocktails, I loved the one with passion fruit.
which is sweet, sour and a bit spicy at the same time to give a nice kick to the palate. they call it kullukki sherbet it is a keralite drink.
SALAD
we had Salad platter with Fattoush, Quinoa salad, Mutabal with a slice of pita bread. Everything was just amazing from taste to presentation.
STATER
Then came – Inji puli prawns, black diamond, curry leaves paneer, Mumbai keema & Squid rings. Inji puli prawns and curry leaves paneer was my favorite among all.
MAINS
The Hamour Pollichathu , whole marinated fish wrapped in banana leave grill upto the best.
Along with it we had prawn dum pukht biryani, Salmaon in lemon butter sauce, Dal makhni and fresh and hot assorted breads basket it.
DESSERT
We had a platter of small glass with Elaneer pudding and also Gulab jamun, Cheese kunafa.
Overall we had a amazing experience. lovely food service with a enjoyable experience. Presentation is just on point and good as the taste. Definitely a place to go again n again.

Visited this restaurant recently which serves some amazing food ranging from Indian, international and middle eastern cuisines. The food comes with perfect quantity and amazing presentation. The service is quick where our server Sarat took good care of us. If you are a keralite, then this place is a must visit.
For appetizers we tried inji-puli prawns, black diamond, curry leaf paneer, malai tikka fondue, lamb chops tikka, and dynamite prawns. Each and every starter deserves a 5/5 star. Out of all these my personal favorite was the curry leaf paneer and dynamite prawns.
For drinks we tried the kullukki sherbet and east of rio. The east of Rio was a berry juice where as the kullukki sherbet is a keralite drink which is sweet, sour and a bit spicy at the same time.
For main course we tried the Australian lamb shank biriyani, wayanandan bamboo biriyani, mopila erachichore, rajasthani chicken laal maas, and beef roast. The mopila erachichore is their signature dish which gives the actual name of the restaurant 'ghee rice', Its a must try dish which is served in banana leaf and chutney. Will definitely go back to try the mopila erachichore.
For desserts we tried the dessert platter which comes with strawberry mousse, gulab jamun, fruit custard and china grass.
Pros: quick service, quantity, quality, friendly staff, wide range of variety, ambience, quick service, reasonable rates.

Had gone here for a nice afternoon lunch. We were served first with some seafood coconut milk soup. We loved this one. One of our favs. For starters we had the inji puli prawns and the mix grill. The prawns were amazing with a sweet taste and the grill too was great. We also tried their salad. There whole wheat and fattoush were amazing as well as their pita bread. For mains we ordered their prawn dum pot biryani. It was so good, not filling at all and great taste. We also had their red sauce Alfredo pasta . It was amazing. Tasted very authentic at an Indian restaurant. We also recommend trying out their Bombay keema pao. Desserts were our favorite. Had an entire platter. With gulab jamun, rasgulla, luqaimat, Brownie, Kunafa and fruit custard and also tender coconut jelly. We also had their kulfi falooda which was so awesome especially the watermelon jelly.
A place to definitely try out. Great ambience and good pricing.

Sarath and Chef Malik were very friendly to take care of our orders and explain each dish to us.
As non appealing the name you might find. The food on the contrary is quite enjoyable. For bloggers, they had a set menu letting us try all of their best dishes. And we enjoyed each one of them. Their food has a twist and too very subtle which is how we like our food. Too much fusion to your palette is enjoyable but can be treated as a one time experience. Everything is going well for Ghee Rice's food. The food is flavorful and detailed. definitely visiting them again soon.
Great service and delivery time. Food was well packed too. However Biryani lacked flavour. It was nothing like Kozhikodan dhum Biryani. It was more like ghee rice with a little masala.

When we visited for dinner,Chef served us some of his signature dishes.We started off with some refreshing mocktails from the menu.Then they served us GRR signature seafood soup & Attinkal soup.Seafood soup is a must try here.It was rich and creamy with clams,crab,squid,prawns etc.Attinkal is a malabar delicacy and was full of flavors.
We also tried a salad platter with Quinoa Salad,moutabal etc..
As starters they served a starter platter with Inji puli prawns,mumbai keema,curry leaf paneer,Black Diamond,tikka etc..I liked all the starters especially inji puli prawns.
As mains we had Australian Lamb Shank Biriyani & Chicken tikka masala with breads.Australian lamb shank biriyani is a lucknowi style biriyani served with raita.It was aromatic ans delish.Chicken tikka masala was also good.
For desserts, we had a Dessert platter which consists of kunafa,gulab jamun etc..

A descent fine dining & pocket friendly multicuisine restaurant.
We visited ghee rice based purely on reviews on a Friday. We were 18 people celebrating a birthday party and I must confess we were pleasantly surprised by the ambience, and the quality of service. They had a very good spread of options for both veg and non-veg. the food was excellent. Every dish was just perfect. Their live pasta and Appam station was a big hit with the kids. Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and would definitely visit again. Please, guys, make sure you maintain this consistency and you will have customers return to you.
