The Pho was amazing. Will definitely try other dishes next time! I also love the handwritten note that came with the delivery bag.

Vietnamese Foodies has some seriously good, authentic Vietnamese food, with a ‘farm-to-the-table’ concept, inspired by the culinary flavors of South Vietnam.
A no-frills, contemporary family eatery, Vietnamese Foodies Downtown also includes an open concept kitchen to see the cooking being done live. Founder and Executive Chef Lily Hoa Nguyen is the brains behind Vietnamese Foodies, whipping up meals inspired by the street food of her native Ho Chi Minh City. And food here is healthy and fresh, as broth is used instead of oil and there are many vegan and Paleo options.
We started with ‘Goi Cuon Tom’, or rice paper shrimp rolls with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, sweet basil and coriander. Then a really yummy dish was the Chef’s signature Ga Quay Banh Bao—flavorful overnight marinade roast chicken served with steamed buns, hoisin sauce, and greens. We stuffed the chicken and sides into our Bao buns for an enjoyable dish.
And my favorite Vietnamese dish is Pho noodle soup, cooked for 14 hours, with a deliciously rich broth with beef brisket, complete with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and chili hoisin sauce.
Not a huge fan of vegan food, still, the vegan curry—Dau Hu Xao Rau Cu with long beans and stir fried tofu with carrots and garlic in chili bean sauce was really flavorful, especially with the accompanying Jasmine rice. And the Bo Xao Hung Que, a divine beef stir-fry with basil and bell-pepper was out of this world.
Here, desserts are also authentic Vietnamese and we enjoyed the soy custard with a mango puree on top; light, but very satisfying.
