Vietnamese Foodies has some seriously good, authentic Vietnamese food, with a ‘farm-to-the-table’ concept, inspired by the culinary flavors of South Vietnam.
A no-frills, contemporary family eatery, Vietnamese Foodies Downtown also includes an open concept kitchen to see the cooking being done live. Founder and Executive Chef Lily Hoa Nguyen is the brains behind Vietnamese Foodies, whipping up meals inspired by the street food of her native Ho Chi Minh City. And food here is healthy and fresh, as broth is used instead of oil and there are many vegan and Paleo options.
We started with ‘Goi Cuon Tom’, or rice paper shrimp rolls with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, sweet basil and coriander. Then a really yummy dish was the Chef’s signature Ga Quay Banh Bao—flavorful overnight marinade roast chicken served with steamed buns, hoisin sauce, and greens. We stuffed the chicken and sides into our Bao buns for an enjoyable dish.
And my favorite Vietnamese dish is Pho noodle soup, cooked for 14 hours, with a deliciously rich broth with beef brisket, complete with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and chili hoisin sauce.
Not a huge fan of vegan food, still, the vegan curry—Dau Hu Xao Rau Cu with long beans and stir fried tofu with carrots and garlic in chili bean sauce was really flavorful, especially with the accompanying Jasmine rice. And the Bo Xao Hung Que, a divine beef stir-fry with basil and bell-pepper was out of this world.
Here, desserts are also authentic Vietnamese and we enjoyed the soy custard with a mango puree on top; light, but very satisfying.

The delivery was fast! The food waa superb, taste wise and portion wise. I was craving for pho because of a youtube video i saw and their brisket pho did not disappoint! Worth it! Will order soon again, and try the spring rolls and bao! Keep it up!

It is Pholicious😍 Pho Bo Chin, (Beef Brisket Soup) in love with this Vietnamese Soup🍜, since my first trip to Vietnam in 2016. I can never get bored with a bowl of #phobochin seemingly simple, yet wonderfully complex more than just broth with beef slices combining with rice noodle, spring onions, herbs, bean sprouts & some bird's eye chillies🌶. Worth a mention #glutenfree

I’m a foodie and I’m always up for some good food. After my visit to Vietnam recently I fell in love with the cuisine and the service. I had been looking for Vietnamese places in Dubai to experience the same taste again and came across Vietnamese Foodies, really wanted to try everything on the menu but there is always the next time. So I ordered Goi Cuon Tom and Pho Xao Tom which were absolutely amazing and on the top of that I received a hand written note for helping them during Covid time which was so thoughtful and positive. I really appreciate your gesture and we need many more people like you guys to spread love and positivity around. I would love to visit you guys as soon as the situation improves and till that time will keep ordering...keep up the good work:)
Definitely a hidden gem! The beef brisket pho along with the schezwan chicken were on point! Amazing price point and the the service was superb!!
Vietnam has a and will always have a special corner in my heart and needless to say lunch at Vietnamese Foodies brought back all the special memories!

We tried their Bun Bo Nam Bo and Pho Bo Tai- both soupy spiced broth cooked for 14 hours, the taste of the rich in Vietnamese flavors in each bite is out of this world. A MUST try whether you’re a newbie to this cuisine or just craving for it.

Excellent place health Vegetarian options with very good location across JLT lakes. Brilliant ambience cozy with heaters, great service from Abbas the Supervisor and Min our server. Both super service oriented guys and made us feel at home. Abbas has a passion to grow as Manager and he is a great talent. He even made us patrons by offering loyalty membership. We will always be back now withoads of new customers our friends and family. And they will in turn bring theirs also. Thank you Abbas and Min, this is because of you guys.
We had been wanting to go here since the time it opened but only just went here last week. We both love Vietnamese food, especially Pho, and since I was nursing a cold, I couldn’t think of a better meal than this. Vietnamese foodies is located in Downtown on the Boulevard and has lovely views of the Burj Khalifa. They have seating indoors and outdoors. We chose a table outdoors since the weather was quite nice. The service is quick, the staff is polite and the food is quite good.

I have ordered 100 times from this restaurant because I used to live in same building. Then I ordered a Small size Pho noddle yesterday I only half the usual amount of noodles. That's a baby meal size !

This place has a really nice ambience with beautiful decor and a front view of Burj Khalifa.
Food was unexpectedly mouth watering! My personal favourite was the Beef Pho soup. The small size was quite stomach filling. The bbq chicken bun just melted in the mouth and my two year old nephew loved it! Food was worth the money.
It’s true, Vietnamese cuisine is one of the healthiest ever. And the tastiest. And this cosy place serves it just right. Pho-real. Eating out can be healthy and tasty, and light on the stomach too, and this place proves it.
Vietnamese Foodies is a small wonder tucked away under the gigantic Burj Vista building in Downtown Downtown Dubai, like you blink and miss it. However, if you have made up your mind to search it out and eat in, it stores a fantastic array of dim sums, salads, pho, curries and stir fried food that you shall savour for days. A visit there definitely demands a repeat soon. I recommend the Chicken Sweet Bun, Roast Duck, and the Chicken Curry with capsicum. The green papaya and prawns salad is a must have. We love their service too. Cost for a couple approximately AED 160/-

It was love at first sight with this restaurant. The food is excellent, every bite is a surprise. Even the most simple dish has an amazing taste and is cooked in a perfect way, with the personal touch of the chef. Everything is fresh and homemade. Also service and location are super nice, but the food take the scene!
This is a new found love for me and I can already tell I will be ordering from this place for the next few weeks consistently! As in 3-4times a day I'm sure! As an avid "eat-outter" I'm prone to eating the not so healthy stuff and it's definitely costly:( however vietnamese foodies you can tell really do care about the quality of their food plus the reasonable pricing! I've had the vegan spring rolls- yummmmm not oily at all full of flavour! Lemongrass chicken with rice, the vegan curry oh boy this might make me turn vegan! And the chicken bun was great. If you're looking for asian food minus oily greasy salty or bland do try their food!

By far, my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Dubai! The quality of the food is consistent and their ingredients are fresh. My favorite is the Pho soup (especially the beef brisket) and the beef stirfry with Jasmine rice, so delicious! Their portions are great too
Friendly staff, great location, amazing tasting food at low prices. Any new favourite food place in downtown! We came for the vegan options and were not disappointed by the big selection. The edamame in particularly were so much better than Wagamama/similar places, and half the price! Definitely returning soon!
My favorite Pho in town. This place has the tastiest Pho Noodle Soup in town. So delicious. Value for money. I ordered a large and it was enough for me and my husband. The beef with basil and rice was also delicious. We can’t wait to order again. 15/08/2019

Ordered in some pho and shrimp rolls (however never got the shrimp in the rolls). Everything was packed really well seeing how we had lots of sauces and pho broth. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Will definitely order again!
Best Pho in Dubai so far! Had the grilled duck sausages as a starter and they were tasty. The Pho Bo Chin was good. Tender beef slices and a delicious broth. Recommended!

I loved the taste of this restaurant in JLT and I just found that the new branch has been opened in downtown so I just paid visit with family. The location is super nice as it just faces Burj Khalifa. The taste is, needless to say, very nice. We ordered Beef Pho, appetizer set and some other noodles, and we enjoyed everything.
Nice ambience, friendly staff and decent food. A good bet for anyone wanting to try Vietnamese cuisine. We ordered lotus root tempura, chicken pho and the prawn sui mai which were all well done.
Been a while since I'd been craving vietnamese food. Finally had a chance to visit @vietnamesefoodies in Downtown Dubai. We had the pho bo chin (something like ramen), the pho xao tom(exactly like pad thai) and dynamite shrimps. The pho soup was light and lovely! The pho pad thai were flavourful and awesome. The shrimps however was slow dynamite, literally. The wasabi was a bit too overpowering for my skull, to the point i thought it might explode. Still I would visit again for the soup. Service was super friendly as well and the views are pretty awesome!

I had mine delivered and was pleasantly surprised with the care taken in delivery to ensure the food was intact and as fresh and warm (not very hard in DUBAI!) as possible. My order was for shrimp fresh roll, duck with bun and Beef Pho. The flavors were all there and I can say I may have just found my new favorite Pho hut that is not in 5-star restaurant and much closer than the California west coast.
Best iced coffee ever, scrumptious baos and amazingly delicious and delicately flavored phos!! Also had the lotus tempura which were crispy with just the right amount of salt and black pepper. Can’t wait to try the other dishes!
The food was fantastic! May I pls suggest that you do not staple the food bowls. It can be dangerous if it lands on the food. Maybe you can use cello tape instead. Peace!
Nice casual place. I had the beef stir fry with rice and the dim sum dumplings. My friend had chicken pho. Food was delicious, I just wish the egg on my rice wasn’t over cooked. Good service but the restaurant had really loud opera music that didn’t suit the atmosphere and got a bit obnoxious when trying to unwind after a workday.
Excellent food!! I just learnt that Vietnamese food is cooked with broth not oil. The burst of flavours made me fall in love with the cuisine. I absolutely loved the chicken pho and the duck sausages in betel leaf. Both had amazing flavours. The coconut braised prawns was good but not different. For dessert we had the creme caramel and the chocolate coconut ice-cream. The ice-cream was vegan and it was the creamiest ice-cream I have ever had!! 😁😁

Vietnamese Foodies Downtown is located on the Boulevard moments away from the Burj Khalifa complete with a view with its floor to ceiling large glass windows and front door. It’s location is enviable making for a bright flood lit lunch spot.
The food is very competitively priced focusing on clean and relatively healthy items from fresh salads, grilled meats, steamed dim sum, rice wraps and hearty pho bowls. It’s a vast menu with a supplemental lunch menu to boot offering three courses for around 70: all with Burj views in the heart of Downtown. This might be Dubai’s best value lunch.
I ordered the lychee soda, duck sausages with betel leaves and plum sauce and the beef & lemongrass noodle soup.
The duck sausages have a coarse meaty texture that feels rustic and not fatty or greasy. The plum sauce is clean without that sickly sweet taste all too common in (bad) Chinese restaurants. It’s a good starter for one or shared among other starters.
The beef &lemongrass noodle bowl comes in two sizes: you’ll want the medium size which is still a very generous portion for one person (resulting in some regret in ordering the duck sausages). The bowl is a crimson slick of chilli oil surrounding covering crushed lemongrass, garlic, fresh bird chillis, coriander, mint and bean sprouts as a crown on top of beer slices and thick filling noodles. The broth alone is rich, beefy and could be eaten by the cupful. The crunchy bean sprouts add texture, the chilli oil is not spicy and the aromatics add fresh brightness to the dish. The noodles bulk out the dish for a filling lunch all for 42 dhs.
Would I come back? Absolutely. There’s a plethora of lunch spots around downtown within moments of office workers. The malaise of sandwiches, salads by numbers and wraps quickly grinds on you. This breaks through the same-same offering healthy options at affordable prices.

Please correct your advertised timings. The 2 times we tried to visit- we were told that the kitchen is closed. At 9:45 pm while it is advertised differently. The JLT one also has way better service. Sorry for pointing this out but for all the great work you guys have done this shouldn’t spoil it.

I love the success story behind Vietnamese Foodies, the homegrown restaurant that filled a niche for simple, good quality, reasonably priced Vietnamese food in Dubai. They’ve been delighting diners in JLT since January 2018 and have recently opened a second, slightly more elegant branch in Downtown Dubai which serves up the same tasty food but now with killer Burj Khalifa views.

When it comes to Vietnamese food, there is no real competition for Vietnamese foodie. This is appearant by their rapid expansion from JLT to downtown, not to mention the awards that they have won in the first year. With so many restaurants in Dubai, winning an award is no easy feat, and when you win it in your first year of operation, that is something to admire and appreciate.
Food was very nice, will go back definitely. But, on their facebook page they are advertising few offers and reading the comments it looks like they try to avoid anyone to use it. They had an offer of 49aed for 1 starter+1main for dine in or delivery and this offer is available for iftar AS WELL. We went at 4:30pm ish, much before iftar, but they said its available only at iftar time. Do not advertise if u dont keep your offer, not fair.
The food is as amazing as JLT but the ambience is even better in this location. All the same great dishes are available. Definitely a must visit!

One of my favourite Asian restaurants has opened its second branch in Downtown Dubai – yeay! I’m happy to say the food is just as good as at the original in JLT. Whilst everybody loves the pho (including me), my favourite is the Com Ga Kep Sa or lemongrass grilled chicken rice – it’s sensational. Service at this more upmarket looking branch is very good and friendly. Good news: a) they have cheap valet parking (opp. Arz Lebanon) and b) they will be open throughout Ramadan. WooHoo!
Vietnamese Foodies has finally opened its second branch. Located in the newly finished Burj Vista Residence (Tower 1) on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai, it has free parking available in Dubai Opera P3. But in case that is as confusing to you as it was to me, you can always valet the car for a very reasonable AED10 in-front of Arz Lebanon.
Step in and the first thing you will notice is the 10-meter-high ceiling. It gives this new incarnation a sense of space and grandeur. A talented Vietnamese interior designer, specially flown in from Vietnam, has done a wonderful job in creating an environment which is modern yet still connected with the cosiness of the original branch.
