An excellent restaurant to enjoy fresh and tasty food. Ordered the chef mix kebabs and boneless joojeh kabab. The meat and chicken was tender and very deliciously marinated. Had a side of saffron rice that was nice and fluffy.
The downside was service. It was slow from beginning to end.

Taste of Persia is a wonderful Iranian restaurant located at the City Walk Mall, Al Safa. This is also one of my favourite malls to visit & there are some really interesting restaurants, cafes & outlets here to enjoy.
This restaurant is not inside the main mall but actually located across one of the streets that run through this Meraas development. It's near Subway & Nar. This area has got mainly food & beverage outlets with shisha joints as well.
We entered at around 3 pm for a latish lunch and the place was kind of empty but that's probably due to the terrible heat and humidity of mid August. The staff assure me that the whole area gets really busy in the evenings. We ordered just a few dishes to share as we were not too hungry.
The mixed grill for 2 people, kashk badanjan, shirazi salad and a cantelope juice was all that we ordered. Server bought us fresh Iranian bread with a platter of fresh mint, jarjeer, walnuts & feta cheese as an appetizer. Bread was freshly made & went well with the feta, walnut & green leafy vegetables. The kashk badanjan was excellent & very addictive. The mix grill was lovely with the succulent & tender lamb kebab, the melt in your mouth Sultan kebab and the chicken. Loved it. Pretty decent portion as well. Shirazi salad was fine. My cantelope juice was just a perfect way cool off in the heat.
I loved the ambiance of the restaurant with the nice high ceilings & open plan seating with view into the open kitchen where we can see food being prepared. Service was excellent.
In terms of prices maybe, they were a little on the higher side considering the abundance of excellent Iranian restaurants in Dubai.
Best Iranian food in Dubai and better than other Iranian restaurants. Very popular place and friendly staff and good service. In city walk here is best place for dining.
I love exploring good food. Iranian cuisine is one of my all time favorite. Today I visited Taste of Persia and it was overwhelming. This place has set a benchmark for the authentic Iranian taste. From their starters to the main course it was an extravaganza of scrumptious flavors. Humble staff and good customer service is the cherry on top.

Taste of Persia says it as it is. If you are wondering how Persia tastes like, wonder no more. With a great selection of Iranian dishes (many of them truly authentic, not your typical rice and kebab only), you will be spoiled for choice! I had lunch here with my family a few days ago and we were all really impressed by how everything tasted so different than our usual food and yet we all loved each and every dish! Iranian food is even more tasty than I ever imagined!
Because we were a big group of people, I was lucky enough to try many of their dishes and I kid you not, there was not a single dish I did not like. There were, however, many that I absolutely loved! Their Kuku Sabzi, for example, totally stole my heart! It is the Iranian version of Omelet but it is SO MUCH BETTER than a typical omelet! Trust me when I say that you simply have to try this ‘Kuku Sabzi’ to know just what I mean; it’s legit heavenly!
Other dishes that I tried and loved includes their mixed platters. They have both a meats one and a seafood one, and both are great! I loved the fact that you can customize the platters depending on how many people you are, they have mixed platters for 1 person to mixed platters for 6 people! Convenience at it’s best!
They also have a mixed appetizer platter to take the headache out of choosing what starters to go for! It has a bit of everything and makes for the perfect experience starter! But, keep in mind that the Kuku Sabzi is not included in this appetizer platter so make sure to add it on the side!
Another thing you should definitely add on the side is their Tahdig with Koresh! If you’re a fan of crunchy rice (the kind that you pick out from the edge of the pot – similar to paella’s rice) then you’ll love this dish!
And for main courses, your best bet would be to go for a mixed platter (either seafood or meat). If I had to choose 1, I would definitely recommend the meat! Having said that though, the seafood one is also excellent!
For desserts, they don’t have a huge selection of authentic Iranian desserts but they do have saffron ice cream! And that to me is more than enough! I tried it, I loved it, I recommend it, and I am definitely going back for more!
The service at Taste of Persia is also excellent! Everyone there, including the manager, was super friendly and welcoming. The food was prepared super quickly and the overall experience was honestly excellent!
The location of Taste of Persia is also excellent! Not only is it conveniently located in City Walk, but if you choose to sit outside, you will have a beautiful view of Burj Khalifa! Perfect for lunches/dinners during this good-weather!
Overall, I am a big fan of Taste of Persia and would recommend it to everyone! Even if you think you’re not into Iranian food, give this place a try. I myself thought I did not like Iranian food much, but after trying Taste of Persia, I changed my mind! It’s different but in all the right ways! And I highly recommend you give it a try!

I’m no expert in Iranian food, though I do go mad for a fesenjan, the piquant chicken stew made out of walnuts and pomegranate molasses. Sometimes I feel like it’s too similar to Turkish or Arabic with its kebabs, or Indian (but with less spice). But then I recall my favourite Persian dish or the fragrant rice with dill or barberries or the fresh bread served with mint, cucumbers and feta and I wonder why I don’t eat it more often.Taste of Persia is an Iranian restaurant in City Walk that serves some quite decent Iranian food. In fact, I was pleasantly surprised with everything I ate – from the breads to the salad to the meats to the refreshing tea and faloodeh.

الاكل لذيذ لمحبين الاكل الايراني، الكباب لذيذ، الطلب كان كباب سلطاني (نوعين كباب مع رز) وكباب الشيف الخاص(لحم كباب محشي خضروات) وكباب دجاج، الجلسات نوعا ما جيدة لكن جدا متقاربة، صعب المرور بين الجلسات، توجد جلسات خارجية.
