Last week we visited city walk for a photo shoot and this cafe was beautifully located overlooking the coca cola arena and hence we crashed here for the late lunch. We ordered main course and desserts together ,since we were so famished.
Trust me their crispy fish biriyani and fish machboos was flavorful and loved it
Lamb harees was well cooked and mashed with the right proportion of lamb flavor, nor too much or too less
And do try their nutella luquimat, one of the best in town .
Definitely coming back to try more kuwaiti dishes
Head towards another amazing experience of #kuwaiticuisine located at @citywalkdubai called @cafebazzadxb .
Thanks @surenrajamohan for introducing this restaurant to me.
...
Their restaurant has unique environment which will surely let you acknowledge the glimpse of the country #kuwait , their culture, their tradition and their authentic food .
I love the seating, their traditional old style wallpaper and frames which was something to admire.
Their service was really good and how humble the manager and servers was which was commendable.
......
Starting with the classic favourite Arab countries drink #vimto as always a winner ! Then was the lemon and mint and cocktail which was quite refreshing and presentable.
Then is starters ' Crispy Combo' which includes samosas, kibbeh, fried potatoes, pakoras . Good style of presenting the Pakistani/Indian snacks .
2 types of 'Kibbeh ;potatoes and burgoul'which was something light as a snack , fresh and good filling.
Creamy simple Hummus will add a spark as a sauce for these quicky bites!
Mains at @cafebazzadxb is extremely good ! Homely #kuwaiti recipe is what brings out the food so well.
*Chicken Grandmother style; chicken , creamy mushroom, cheese and potatoes.
*Chicken wings ; coated in hot garlic sauce.
* Prawns Biryani ; served with tomato salsa ,spicy chutni and pickle.
*Qeema ( Pak/Ind) on Tanoor bread.
Each dessert is good at its own way but Qamar sweets and Bazza Ice cream is recommended 👍👍👍 *Kunafa; classic Kunafa with saffron syrup serves with pistachio was a good start.
* Qamar sweets; biscuits qamar and chocolate sweets.
* Bazza Ice cream ; Oreo biscuits with Ice cream. ......
Recently visited this Kuwaiti cuisine inspired restaurant with friends. It has a beautiful view with outdoor seating. We ordered the
Greek Salad (A good choice for every health conscious person out there)
Tanoor Bread with Kheema (The kheema was a little dry, otherwise a very good dish)
Crispy Combo (Indianised fried platter with samosas, pakoras, etc.)
Hummus (Good)
Murabyan (Highly Recommended. Beautifully flavoured rice served with curry prawns on the top)
Chicken Grandmother Style (Highly Recommended. Mashed potato, gravy and chicken baked with a layer of cheese)
Chicken Wings (The sauce was delicious, but the chicken was over-cooked)
Bazza Ice Cream (Must try. Oreo biscuits mixed with ice cream beneath a layer of frothy cream)
Kenafa (The sugar syrup was infused with kesar which made the kenafa better than usual)
Lemonade with Mint (The drink was too bitter)
Bazza Cocktail (Decent)
Vimto (Must try. The usual vimto with crushed ice)
The food was well-portioned. The staff were very courteous and prompt. The prices are reasonable for the ambience and quality. Overall, a very good experience.
Cafe Bazza serves Kuwaiti food and is beautifully located at City Walk. They have outdoor seating as well, and is perfect for this weather. Their interiors are nicely done, giving an Arabic touch to the place. The staff is also dressed in a traditional Arabic way.
Coming to the food part, tried a variety of dishes from here. For drinks, Bazza cocktail is what I chose and it was pretty good. It had a strong strawberry flavor though.
Greek salad and hummus with bread came next, the salad was super fresh, light and enjoyable. The salad had cucumber, mixed capsicum, black olives, cherry tomato, basil and feta cheese.
Chicken wings with hot garlic sauce was good, loved the sauce even though I felt the chicken was probably slightly overcooked and hence hard.
Crispy combo consisted of samosas, pakora, potato fry and kebbeh. I enjoyed pakoras the most, was crisp and good. The potato fry was not something I enjoyed much!
Tanoor bread with keema was basically Arabic bread with minced beef, peas and keema topping. This was a decent one.
For main course, we tried their murabyan which is an authentic Kuwaiti rice with shrimps dish, served with a spicy dip and some pickled veggies. Loved this one! This was definitely the show stopper of the evening.
We also tried their chicken grandmother style. This was basically chicken with cream of mushroom, cheese and potato. Tasted more like a lasagne. This was also a good dish.
In desserts, we tried their famous kunafa and Bazza ice cream. Kunafa was decent, though I had better expectations. The Bazza ice cream was delicious, it was Oreo biscuits with ice cream.
Overall, an enjoyable time I had with fellow bloggers; good food, awesome climate, and of course good service.
Kuwaiti food is very much like alike the Middle Eastern cuisine but has its own twists and customization.
Our server, Bilal suggested some great dishes from Kebab to Machboos Lamb, Shawarma Chicken to Al Shamiyah soup.
Loved each and every dish served.
We ended our meal with Kunafa and Karak! Best karak in City Walk for sure!
Visited the place early for dinner and welcomed warmly by their staff.
We ordered:
Crispy combo
Mixed grill
Pasta arabiata
Tanoor bread nutella
Tea/karak
All these are good for sharing as they have a good serving quantity and they serve good quality food.
I love everything what we have ordered, most especially the pasta and mixed grill.
I can’t get enough of the creamy and delicious taste of karak, the best tea i have ever tasted.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Photos to be uploaded soon...
I hadn’t tried traditional Kuwaiti food before so I was looking forward to trying some at Cafe Bazza. The place is very inviting and is family friendly. The staff was polite and friendly and I was made to feel comfortable as soon as I entered. There was soft music playing in the background and I had a very nice relaxed lunch. The food was like a home-cooked meal, making it very comforting.
Located in the beautiful city walk, adjacent to coco-cola arena , this place is a excellent choice if you are craving for some Kuwaiti food. Beautiful ambience, great outdoor and indoor seatings and friendly staff . We started off with some drinks, we tried Bazza Cocktail and Vimto.
This is what we had for food.
Salads - Bazza salad - This salad was fresh with mixed leaves , chicken, sweet corn and halloumi
Starters- Crispy Combo - this had Sambosa, Kibbeh, Pakora and fried potatoes. Sambosa and Pakora were excellent
Mains -Murabyan with Prawns , Chicken Grandmother Style, Chicken wings with BBq sauce.
Murabyan with Prawns was delicately flavored but absolutely delicious, the jumbo prawns were juicy and yum, the portion was generous
Chicken Grandmother Style -This is a must have , This dish is chicken with cream, mushroom and potato. Loved the taste and flavors , every morsel was a delicacy.
Desserts - Kunafa , Kunafa was good too.
Finally made my meal complete with piping hot mint tea which was defnitely refreshing after the heavy binging.
Perfect location to go in big groups or families, winters would be heavenly to be seated outdoors with the picturesque view and this amazing food .
Had a lovely experience visiting Cafe Bazza at City Walk.
The ambience is just amazing. The pastel shades with all the beautiful collectables on the walls and a comfortable seating just adds to your experience here. They also have an outdoor seating which is so amazing for winters.
We ordered the following
Chicken Grandmother Style - So cheesy and amazing. It is a mix of potatoes, mushrooms, loads of chicken and cheese all baked together. Just loved this unique dish and goes well with Kubus too.
Chicken Wings - They are not wings it's like lollypop. It says hot Garlic but it's sweet sauce more like barbecue but they are really good.
Prawns Tanoor
Prawns fried with a crispy outer base and a tasty sauce on the side. The prawns are really tender inside.
Murabyan
Loved this main course! A bed of flavored rice with prawns cooked in a red gravy. Big pieces of prawns. Really amazing and can be shared by 2 people unless you are really hungry.
Mixed Grilled Platter
The grills are very soft and well done. Chicken, lamb and seekh with kubus and a garlic dip. Lovely!
Overall this place is definitely worth a visit. Premium quality food. Unique dishes and great ambience.
