Hummus and Bread Basket: When in a lebanese place how can you not have hummus. Well, this was nothing great, expect as it is to be, but the bread basket will blow you away for sure. Check out the pics to see the cute sizes.
Falafel Wrap: A different concept, falafel crushed and spread as a paste on the bread and filled with pickles and sauces. One might like it, but for me, falafel wrap means chunks of falafel balls being grinded by my own teeth
My favorite always, i visit this restaurant every week.
Everything they serve is so fresh and tasty specially the bread.

We tried Mezzeh Platter and Mixed Grills from Baydar for a delivery order. The order came in good time and the food was hot and fresh.
The mezzeh platter had Hummos, Green Salad, Grape Leaves, Cheese Rekak (Sort of Spring Rolls), Spinach Fatayer, Kibbeh and Meat Sambousik. Even though the menu mentioned Moutabal, but we didn't get it. We were a bit disappointed by the very miniscule amount of Hummos. Anyways they do share Kuboos bread. And the fried items were fresh and tasty. We really liked the perfectly balanced Cheese Rekak. But for us the star of the night was the green salad. The vinegrette was really nicely tangy , that sourness balanced out the rich fried items.
The mixed Grill had a skewer of Sheesh Tawook, Arayes, Minced Meat Kebabs and Beef Cubes (Shish Kebab probably) . All of the grills were fresh and interestingly the meat looked a bit dry but wasn't and was moist along with being nicely seasoned and tasty. The dish comes with a real generous serving of French Fries , but the accompanying garlic sauce really balances out the flavours.
All in all we had a good experience, good enough for us to definitely try them again in future.

Found yet another good Lebanese restaurant. The interiors are really clean ,simple and bright colours make it look more vibrant . The service was really quick and very well organised. The staffs were really welcoming .
Starting with the drinks , I had Avocado with pistachio which was really refreshing and so well blended with cream . The appetizers I had was the tobouleh ,fattoush from cold mezze served with fresh assorted breads so fluffy and soft .
The Hot Mezze what I had was the chicken liver with molasses ,batata harra ,mix platter mezze (wine leaves ,fatayer ,spring rolls,kebbeh) it was so good you will surely want more of that .
The sides was the classic hummos and mutabul simple yet delicious.
The mains was the mix grill and lamb chops. Lamb chops were bit dry but mix grill was really fresh and tasted good with fresh thick french fries .
The desserts were incredibly good . The citrus muhalabieh was so flavourful and giving that summery taste .The next was the kunafe, the amzing cheese and freshly baked was really commendable.
However overall good for friends and families gathering restaurant .Some items are bit pricey but overall good experience .
Baydar is Lebanese food paradise with exhilarating bites as you dig into your meal. The interiors are simple and neat. Their service is commendable and the staff is well trained because they give amazing suggestions when you ask anything about the menu. So, we started off with freshly squeezed orange juice and lemonade. I loved both the juices as they were fresh and not diluted with sugar or other ingredients.
Baydar is a Lebanese restaurant in Al Barsha Mall that serves homemade fare inspired by time-honoured recipes. It shares its dining area with Sandella’s Flatbread Café, an outlet that serves pizzas, wraps and quesadillas on their trademark flatbreads.

⭐Hommos with Meat: Loved it..It was a perfect start along with the Hot & Fresh Puffed Khubz.
⭐Fattosh : The Salad was freshly made & the dressing along made it all the way more scrumptious.
⭐Batata Hara: Batata Hara is a potato based dish with mild spices...I loved d fact that it was just so light & nice & the spices were a perfect blend in the dish...

⭐LAMB CHOPS: Although these were well spiced & good in taste, i found the meat to be a bit hard...
⭐MIX GRILL: Our mix grill had pieces of chicken, Meat & minced Kebabs...i absolutely enjoy Kebabs & the ones at BAYDAR were simply delightful...👌..The Chicken & meat ones were grilled to perfection & was definitely a Meaty Treat..I like the fact that the meats didnot have any kind of smell or rawness which is sometimes found, so this is one factor which is truly a 👍

🍩DESSERTS:
⭐CHEESE KUNAFA: Served Hot & Fresh with all the oozing cheese & sugar rightly balanced, it was a HIT!
⭐MOHALABIEH & ⭐RICE PUDDING: Both again quite nice...not overly sweet & well made..

On a hunt for authentic Lebanese food, this weekend I decided to try out this restaurant @baydaruae which is located at Barsha Mall ❤️

Here goes my review :

🌈AMBIENCE (4/5): a nice family place which isn't too crowded and is situated in the food court itself. It gives a feeling of Warm and cozy atmosphere.

🌈FOOD (4/5): I got to try some of the dishes which includes kofta kababs, a rates, falafel, cheese rekak, hummus with meat. For starters tried the cheese rekak which is just like cheese spring roll, falafel which was very crispy and highly recommended. It came with a tahina sauce and tasted yummy.

Also do try hummus with meat which is sprinkled with pine nuts. For mains i had the kofta kababs which was juicy and tender. Also tried the arayes and had a very nice flavor. Had high expectations for the grilled chicken but it got hard and I didn't like it much.

For desserts had the rice pudding and it was just heavenly for me! Never had such an amazing dessert in a long time. For drinks I had fresh watermelon juice 🍉

🌈SERVICE (3/5): The food took a lot of time and had to wait for an hour to get our meals. The waitress was kind enough and kept checking if everything was okay. Otherwise, I had a lovely experience.

Whenever we feel like having something healthy with green and proteins we come to Lebanese cuisine,
We try to limit the rice and khaboos but hey with habits of ours we are never getting lean.
Fine hummus generously loaded with olive oil, excellent in each bite,
Fattoush was fresh, green, crisp with optimum tanginess, everything about it was right.
The joujeh kabab was so flavorful and juicy, and the aromatic rice with it was unavoidable,
Sheesh Tawook was simple, basic but tasty, succulent and overall palatable.
So this on entertainer and hence gave it a try for home delivery,
A decent try, would order again, high on taste and value for money for the quality and quality.

Baydar offers diners an authentic Lebanese cuisine amidst a cozy ambiance. Being located inside the mall, parking is definitely an ease. The whole place exudes warmth with ample sunlight, comfortable seating options, beautiful lamps hanging from the ceiling and a lovely view overlooking Barsha Pond Park. You can also view Burj Khalifa on one side and Burj Al Arab on the other side. This restaurant share the space with Sandella's Flatbread Cafe as well which is owned by the same group as that of Baydar. So this place is apt to gorge on some Lebanese food and you can also treat your tastebuds for a joyful ride on Pizzas, paninis with its sister neighborhood Sandella's.
Onto food, we started off with Batata Harra, bite sized chunks of potatoes cooked with mild spices, very flavorful and was super addictive and I can nibble it through the end. You got to try this once at Baydar, simple ingredients yet a delightful dish. Hummus there was good, no doubt about it, I just felt it could have been more creamier and smooth. But nevertheless it tasted fine and went pretty well with super fresh, soft and straight out of oven warm bread. Fattoush was a perfect blend of fresh and crunchy vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes etc topped with toasted Arabic bread. It has apt sweet and sour taste and was an instant hit amongst us.to gobble down all such deliciousness I had Mint lemonade and it was very refreshing, perfect tangy and an apt thirst quencher.
Overall, this place is perfect place for a quick bite amidst your shopping frenzy inside mall or a full fledge hearty Lebanese meal with family. Definitely recommended!!!!
