Ordered "Sambar Rice" online and it took around 90 minutes to get delivered. The quantity was very less for the price and the taste was not good either.<br/><br/>Really disappointing experience.

Despite of good Masala Dosa and Idly option this place is failed to impress ur because of laid-back service standards.<br/>Staff is not at all vigilant and cooperative.<br/>Recommend for food only, don't expect good service from them but yes for food I'll go again..<br/>If management will take few steps to improve their service I'm sure this will be one of the best South Indian joint in the closed proximity.

Healthy food, staffs are good and the service is better. Restaurant clean and neat and prices reasonable. During lunchtime need one more staff to manage the table. Overall good. Perfect south Indian taste. Especially Sweet Pongal highlight.

One of best restaurants in JLT area for daily outside eaters. Good, Fresh and hygienic south india food. All staff as well friendly and well mannered. I live in same tower and visit often. I must recommend it if you taking dinner daily outside.

Ananda Bhavan is a place you go to when youre missing the Filter KAAPI and vadai. If youre missing the thair chadam or the rasam, this is the place to head to!! You will definitely not be disappointed. Small place and barely has about 10-15 seats. But the food quality, authenticity and taste pushes all the cons of this place to the back burner. Dont miss out on their value for money meals in the afternoon!

One of the most frequented vegetarian in JLT for a quick soul fulfilling meal. Ghee roast, masala dosa, onion masala dosa are my usual. Best to eat in since the dosa gets mushy when delivered. Sambar could be thicker but overall a quick fix when you just want a simple fulfilling meal. While the interior is simple, this place is clean, comfortable and real.

Never expected this outlet to be worse than indian ones. Order din get delivered for 1.5 hours. Owner has no respect for people's hunger. Cheaters.

Hands down anada bhawan has the best filter coffee in town! I cant go a single day without having this coffee. <br/>Their idlis, vada, puri with subji and upma is quite nice as well. Sometimes their daily thali is really nice too. It has less oil and is extremely simple food. Also, its super light on the pocket! <br/>The ambience isnt great, but its nice to sit out by the lake in winters :)

I have only ordered food from ananda bhavan and have always felt the homeliness of the food refreshing. Not too much salt, or thickening agents in sambar. I do want to note the delivery is usually late. Some days the sambar exceeds my expectation and some days I’m underwhelmed. But I still like the simplicity of the food.

We were craving for some good South Indian food for breakfast. So we ordered from Ananda bhavan. The food was not bad and we had mixed feelings. We ordered ghss papaer masala dosa and dipped sambar vada. The dosa was huge and for the first time I saw the masala given separate from the dosa. That was a bit wierd. The sambar for the dosa was tasteless (no salt). However the chutneys we're good and I ate the dosa with the chutneys and masala. The sambar vada was also ok (again the sambar was not up to the mark and missed the taste). However quantity is good and packaging is ok too

Finally I have found a place where you get the perfect Madrasi food (I hope I’m not offending anyone) the place is just amazing anything you order gives an option to choose mild and spicy that’s really a good thing if you love your food. I really love the attitude of the stuff they are very helpful. We have tried almost all the items in the menu there is nothing that was not good.

Good South Indian joint. Value for money. Managed by good service minded young boys. Though the taste is not extraordinary but it doesn’t affect your stomach.

If you are expecting simple, decent, homelike  & yes, value for money south indian fare then you won't be disappointed.  There are no "amazing / out of this world" dishes, but simple fare that will keep you going back to them when you are actually tired of eating at those "Best in Dubai" places. I have tried almost all their dishes including their breakfast dishes (sambhar dipped idli/wada , podi dosa are nice), lunch/mini lunch thali's and I have always been satisfied.  Their Filter coffee in the mornings is really good though, maybe among one of the top ones I have had in Dubai. Nice, fragrant, warm and just the way it should be. <br/>Just one suggestion - If you plan on dining there, be aware that its a very small place with 2-3 tables and hence can get crowded & they do seem a bit understaffed. You would be better off ordering and their delivery has been on time everytime.  <br/>Overall a 4 star rating for their simplicity, value for money and that filter coffee!

Reliably good quality and reasonably priced. In JLT that is not very easy to find. So Ananda Bhavan has been a God-send for those of us who live or work in this area and feel the need for some comfort food.

Fresh pomegranate juice is a fake! They send you a thin milky violet colored watery juice and that too after 1.5hrs of having ordered the food. Seems there’s no difference between a milky juice and a fresh juice!

If you are looking for Indian food, this is the best place. I frequently order their idilly which have the best south indian taste. The prices as compared are little high but worth the money.

Yummy! The delivery is a bit slower but the taste was good! I like it! And the packing was really good and everything was fine with the delivery and hotel ananda bhavan.

The chutneys were different and good. The chilly idli was to my liking. Dosas were nice but lacked the flavour of ghee. They were oily enough but the flavour was missing.

Anand Bhavan's delivery schedule is always delayed. It doesn't seem to sync with what zomato app/website suggests  Every time it is delayed by 30 minutes.  Total delivery time is 1.30 hrs.  If this is the delivery time why don't they update zomato about the same.  People like us dont have to waste our time with them. Seems like they only need the business and commitment of delivery well thats not something which they have heard off.<br/>Hope I don't have to order anything from them in future.

A decent joint offering good authentic south-Indian food. Their service is good both for dining in or home delivery. Food is finger- licking good and is relished by all irrespective of an age group.

Packing not good

The food was edible. The dosas got a bit soggy once received at home, so may be better to eat at the restaurant. But I didn’t know what the kidchi was- it looked like small and thin noodle strands but tasted like the dosa mix. I was expecting kidchi like the rice and Lentil mix (I didn’t know the difference between the two).

Good South Indian fare.

Tried the Friday special (Madurai Curry Dosa+Veg Lappa+Sevai) and Mix Veg Parotta for a delivery order for a delivery order. <br/><br/>The order came in time and hot. The Mix Veg Parotta sounded like a stuffed variety but turned out to be Kothu Porotta format which is a South Indian and Sri Lankan delight. It's like putting a Indian Flat Bread and Vegetables through a grinder into smaller manageable pieces. Most varieties are an extension of Scrambled Eggs but this variety at Ananda Bhavan was without an egg and it was pretty awesome with the mashup of Veges and Flat Bread. <br/><br/>The friday special was pretty interesting. The madurai dosa is stuffed dosa with mashed up vegetables, you get Spicy Coconut Chutney, Plain Coconut Chutney , Raita, lightly Sour Brinjal Curry and Sambar as accompaniments. All of them work very well with the Dosa especially the Coconut Chutneys. The Veg Lappa was like a Murtabak in the appearance and was a layered filled flat bread. Again done perfectly and we really enjoyed it. Sevai was basically spiced up vermicelli which could be used as a carb side to the Sambar. <br/><br/>All in all we loved the food, and will be definitely trying them again.

Ananda Bhavan is a good place in Jlt for south Indian delicacies . The ambience is regular with limited seating options . Outside seating is good for winters . We tried the idli , vada and masala dosa. All tasted good . Chutney and sambhar were delicious . Service was quick . Prices are very affordable .

I had selected Pongal from the option provided in the mini tiffin. We got an upma. The dosa was mediocre.

We had ordered for breakfast, minitiffin,dosa and poori. In mini tiffin v specified for pongal but they gave rava upma. They forgot to give sweet. Vada was not at all good. It was so hard. Dosa was not even warm and very hard to chew which was given in the mini tiffin. The dosa which v ordered separately they forgot to give. Then v called them back and they immediately send it. But the person who came for delivering the second time was very rude and dint even respond to the questions v asked he just left. I am giving two stars because they responded immediately.

Food is terrible! Cold, delayed more than 1 hour after ordering on zomato at 9am... I live 5-10 minutes from store, Food order is wrong, cold juice packed with hot food resulting in luke warm juice and luke warm food. I eat Indian and Pakistani food all over Dubai, but this place is sub par. Way too many good Indian venues in town, don’t waste your money here. <br/>

dosas were absolutley sad and depressing(soggy, bland and it hardly had any taste). I had specifically added a comment to make the dosas crispy but I dont think they follow any comments. you guys really need to up your game if you have to survive longer as a restaurant.

They make mistakes in delivery, I had ordered 3 dosas they sent 4, some days ago I had ordered 3 dosas they sent 2, and forgot to send the pending, later called and asked to send, that also took a while for them to deliver

I was enrolled for sweet offering plan by Zomato. It was not honoured by the restaurant.

I am giving a rating of 1 since Zero or negative is not available. I have been a very loyal customer to this restaurant. Off late, the service levels are extremely poor with delivery taking too much time that too after personal requests on phone. The staff never consider this since there is no focus to the customer, may be they are not trained for that. Today’s was my last order with this restaurant to whom I have already given good business so far, have given them enough chances.
