Nadan Adukala is located right on the main street in Bur Dubai bang opp Aster Clinic. A small restaurant with space for families upstairs as well as on the outside. Serving Authentic home made style Kerala cusines and not too heavy on the pockets too. The portion size of their Main courses is served in big size earthen pots and we were surprised to see the fare so affordable.
We started with the Veg Manchow Soup, it was very good and refreshing. Good Soup to start with. Mango Salad is one which you must try, sweet, salted as well as spicy. This one is a riot of flavors and good as a starter as well as accompaniment with main courses.
King Fish Fry homestyle, we enjoyed a hot and big size King fish after a long time. Along with this we had fried prawns in traditional Kerala style masala and a tadka of crispy Curry leaves made it just fantastic. Fish Chutty Curry with King fish is superb in taste and a very thick gravy. We enjoyed this with their Aapam. The size of the serving Chatty was family size. One family can easily feast on this.
Meen Varutharacha Curry is another good Sherry fish curry. Very nice consistency and we asked for medium spicy and they made it just perfect. We enjoyed this with wheat Parotha. The Parota itself was nice and thick and very soft. Fish Pollichathu made of Hamour fish wrapped in a Bananna leaf and cooked in steam home style. The gravy inside was too good to describe. The fish was cooked in the steam nicely. This is a very healthy cusine. Very heavenly in taste. Very highly recommended.
The Mango and Kulfi Falooda was for the finale. Extremely satisfying and tasty.
Overall loved the food served here, the beauty of it is the freshness of the seafood used in the cooking. If you are simply looking for a place to have good standard food, this is the place..
Quality of food is superb
One of the best places to try Kerala food in Bur Dubai. I have visited here and ordered from here and was pleased both the times. The quantity of food was really nice, staff were decent, price was okay and taste was good.
If you love South Indian breakfast, this restaurants serves it at the lowest price ever. Starting from Dhs. 4, you get Vada, Idli, Dosas, Pooris, and so much more.
We had a Mysore Masala Dosa, Vada, and Idli Sambar. All the dishes were good although my absolute fav was the dosa.
My dad had their Fresh Milk Coffee while I had Malabari Tea.
Great service with outdoor seating.
With a long standing years of experience in the food industry they are a group of restaurant chAin well aware regarding the taste which could please the taste buds of the common audience . Loved each food served at this place highlight being the fish mole, the prawns roast .. literally can get your mouth water running in no time . ne of the best local kerala cuisine in town at the moment. naadan adukkala got the best out of me serving my favorite rice and fish dishes. Located in Mankhool, they have an amazing location and upstair ambiance to enjoy some lunch. We tried their Pothi chor, Biriyani with Chicken or Fish, cooked, heated & served in Banana leaf. For the fish, We tried the King fish fry, Prawns fry and some squid roast as well. With some Pineapple kulukki sarbath, the feast here is a total delight.
Even there staffs are polite and friendly
This is one tiny little place in karama best known for the authentic kerala food. We had charcoal pepper chicken ( sorry was too damm yummy to clik pics) and mutton curry which the gravy was good however the mutton was a bit chewy as per my standards. The falooda was average. The mango salad was really amazing . This is a must visit place in karama if you crave authentic kerala spicy north kerala food
Food ordered : pepper chicken charcoal
The restaurant is clean and has a good ambience , its good enough for a family dine in .
the charcoal chicken was well marinated and the pepper could be tasted in every bite , the charcoal chicken was served with hummus and khubbus
Naadan Adukkala is yet another place where you can fulfil your Kerala food cravings. The place is ordinary, in terms of ambience. But Mr Bobin who served us, made sure we didn’t miss out on their bestsellers! Here is the complete list of what we had:
Mango salad- definitely a good way to start our dinner
Pepper charcoal chicken- loved this one! Loved the use of the highlighted spice ‘pepper’ in this grilled chicken preparation. The chicken was marinated so well!
Kada fry- which is basically quail fry. This was a deep fried starter and tasted good
Fish pollichathu- hamour fish was cooked to perfection and presented in a banana leaf. There was ample masala covering the fish, and I loved this one!
Beef kizhi- This was just decent. The masala used was okayish, and the beef pieces weren’t all that great. This also came in a banana leaf.
Mutton chatty curry- The gravy was awesome, but the mutton was not good, it was rubbery. Wished the mutton pieces were cooked well as it didn’t feel like the pieces belonged to the otherwise amazing curry
Chicken pothi biriyani- Loved this one! The Biriyani rice in itself tasted so good. This was an absolutely enjoyable dish!
Chicken porotta kizhi- Not a fan of this. Way way too much oil was used. The porotta could not be eaten as it was drenched in oil
Appam- decent
Porotta (normal and wheat)- good
Puttu- the combination of puttu (steamed rice powder with coconut) and the mutton curry was match made in heaven! Mind blowing!
Mango falooda- I wouldn’t recommend this one! Sour fruit pieces in the falooda didn’t make it quite enjoyable
Watermelon and lime juices- both were good, no complaints
Black tea- good
Overall, it was a good evening where most of the food items we had were good, only some failed to impress! Also, a small request would be to cut down on the oil used in most of the dishes!
Amazing pothi biryani and beef fry is rare to get. This place has them both. Even their rice meals for lunch are very good.
Good taste, i liked the briyani served in the pot. All foods was in expected taste and few were more than good. Its worth for the money if you visit
Good food and service.Ambience is average.I tried their chicken biriyani, taste is Ok.Price is reasonable. Will come again to try another dishes and will recommend to friends .
Went for dinner to this place had a lovely meal. Ordered as per suggestion of the floor manager - Starters: Tawa fry fish, Main Course: Mutton Chati Curry with appam and parotha and Poti biriyani. All the items tasted really good. The staff was very friendly and polite and did not make us wait long for the food.
Food was delivered before time. thnx. quantity is enough for 2 person. the taste was same of for the tikka and grill chicken.
food was really good and hot. just utensils were missing.
Naadan Adukkala is an average Kerala restaurant that serves a good quality fare and value for money prices. The place is a basic restaurant that serves excellent everyday food.
The mota set is great value for money. The fried mackeral was of the freshest I could have eaten.
Good taste.. quick delivery
One of the BEST Kerala restaurant in Dubai...
You can have the BEST of Kerala foods here...
The taste was AWESOME...
Especially POTHI BRIYANI one of the BEST Dish...
The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is very attentive, but the food is just perfect. The food was great and prepared perfectly.
its highly recommendable
Reliable middle range priced food that is nonetheless inventively cooked and served by professional staff. I have only been twice but both times had a great experience. They cope with larger groups too.
The quality of the food at the restaurant is excellent, and the service as near to perfect as one can imagine. The staff are not over imposing, but are careful to check at appropriate intervals as to how you are going.
I had come in for a business meet with my fellow workers and was left simply mesmerized by the number of dishes thats on offer…
I will recommend to every one
First I thank all the previous reviewers for their comments....from the beginning of table booking till the end the restaurant offers easy, friendly and courteous service......let me begin now... I jus made my table booking online through their website...... we were three in number and it was a birthday celebration for my mom.
Loved the dosa - great recommendation from the waitress who was polite, attentive, professional and personable throughout our meal. She was great. Four of us went to Naadan adukkala dinner on a recent Sunday evening.
Our meals were good, without being outstanding. Everything was prompt, prepared and presented with care - I would have preferred the flavours and seasonings being pushed just a little bit more.
Newly opened venture with very tasty keralite dishes with wide varieties and very pocket friendly...
Easily accessible and their Onam sadhya was best!!
Dishes to try:
Aashan prawns
Palliyile beef curry
Pacha manga kulukki sarbath
Being a new restaurant , we set real high expectations and I must say that they managed to impress our group.
Food & Service is great...
Must try Prawns Thenga Kothu...
Good for take out. Pocket friendly. The Arabic food is great. Definitely recommend the chicken tikka. Delivery is quick and fresh food. The chicken mix grill is huge and good to share for 2-3. Chicken kadai is average.
Good place to hit when you are craving for simple soul food. Warm service, a tidy cozy place and some delicious food just enough to fix your blues!
