I was invited by Skillet to try out different items from their menu. Skillet is an Indian restaurant located near Baniyas Square, they are the best Indian restaurant in the area.
This is what we got - Mozzarella Stuffed Chicken, Chicken Kondattom, Chicken Malai Tikka, Chicken Schezuan Fried Rice, Lotus Milkshake, Methi Chicken, Zaitooni Prawns, Chicken Charcoal (half), Zafraan Falooda, and Tandoori Chai.
Before you're served with the food, you will be given a complimentary mango drink which is cold and refreshing. Also, they serve hot jeera water while you have your food.
The quality and taste of the food was what impressed us the most! Though the food took some time, the wait was totally worth it as everything was served hot and made fresh. We loved everything we ordered, and absolutely enjoyed it.
The ambience of the place is also very nice, it's very clean, there's plenty of seating available, and is a great place to go with family. The staff were also friendly, and helped us in ordering dishes according to our liking.
Last but not the least, the prices of this place were very good. Everything was worth the price, the quantity you get is a lot, and you definitely won't be disappointed.

The Best Mutton Biriyani on the planet...
One of the best Indian restaurant in deira, the rest was small but interiors were good with nice seating arrangement.
Comming to the food
1. Ordered stuffed chicken with cheese - It was good and would recommend a must try item.
2 Prawns item - forgot the name but the prawns was fresh and the Taste was also good again a must try item.
3.Skilet Chicken - One of it’s kind the chicken pieces was cooked well and the fillings was also spl.
4. Avoli In cheriya ulli Tawa - I am not a fan of white pomphret ( avoli - white) , but the masala was such that it didn’t allow me to leave anything back in the plate.
5. Mussels fry - was a bad mark , it was not cooked the way it has to be cooked bad in taste or the mussels were not fresh.
Excellent cuisines and very low price...everyone should try to go this place and have breakfast ,lunch,dinner.
We had dinner and lunch with them and it has been a pleasant experience. We really liked the pothichoru which we ordered for lunch on two consecutive days...I rate this restaurant 5 stars...the location is near hyatt place wasl District deira old dubai....

I just thought to venture Al wasl district in deira, since this was the neighborhood which is my birth place ( Al wasl district was before al Maktoum hospital) and found out this cute little Indian food eatery, which serves both south indian and north indian . Ambience was decent and spacious and staffs were welcoming and pleasant too. I was soo much relieved when I came to know that the restaurant was having parking space available for their customers in basement
We started out meal with kulukki sarbath which was sweet , tangy and spicy 😬( not a good drink if you are thirsty)
Next in out table was mutton soup (attinkaal soup ), which I absolutely loved it with the perfect blend of garlic ,pepper and shallots (tried to make at home, but didn’t succeed, hence will be definitely going back for more soup )
Then we tried some of their starters which were paneer sate and mozzarella stuffed chicken, the latter was just yum with the perfect cheesiness and crunchiness (must try )
Tried hariyali kebab and malai kebab , and both was marinated and cooked perfectly
From main course we had prawns roast, beef ularthiyathu , methi chicken, veg handi curry and fish mango curry with both appam and porotta combination , but the accompaniments were not served hot
Asked for ghee rice to have with fish mango curry and the combination was deadly
Tried their samovar tea and tandoori chai 👍🏻 Perfect place for an evening snack as well .
Service was a bit slow, need to improve in that area

A grand welcoming entrance with cozy interiors.
Service was decent, found the staff very receptive to recommendations, which I really liked. My favorites here were the Veg Handi, Parottas and the must-try Fulljar Soda!
Detailed review--
Started off with some kulukki sarbath, basically, a spicy lemonade, found it very spicy - calmed it down with some watermelon juice. The tandoori chai is also available here which was ok.
Had some paneer sate as an appetizer, found it a bit dry but decent.
For main course - had the veg handi - really liked the mix of vegetables, it included mushroom and the creamy gravy made it delicious! Also, had the paneer butter masala which was decent. The appam could definitely get better. Ended the meal with the Fulljar soda (Kerala's cool and trending drink), which was launched the day I visited! I've heard it that it is very spicy and difficult to have but at Skillet, the drink was really appetizing and smooth! I liked the ginger soda combination, and it is definitely a must try.
I also had the opportunity to be first among the few that tried their version of Fuljar Soda, the crazy new drink that has taken Kerala by storm. This one was not as spicy as I had envisioned it to be and it ended on a sweet note. Check out Lizbethology on Instagram for the amazing video.
Overall, a decent place to try some tasty dishes and spend time with friends and family without having to worry about parking renewals 😊

The Skillet Restaurant is that neighborhood restaurant serving South Indian dishes you have always been heard about . Good ambiance good food good vibe what more do you need . Tried all their signature dishes they offered us which tasted good . All the curries they had served was really good but appam and biriyani wasn’t to the mark . There was the tandoori chai along with the food which wasn’t that hot but yeah tastes really authentic .. and ofcourse we had to try the new trend setter fuljar soda which was really soothing instead of being very spicy . Overall it was a good experience 👍🏼

Spacious , neat and most importantly clean.
Being a Malayali who loves her tea, this place has an awesome Tea. Served hot and fresh in matkas, it is a perfect accompaniment with any dish.
Attukal (goats leg) soup was spiced right and delicious.
Fluffy light Appam with beef roast, just makes you drool. Specially seeing the Appams made in their live counter.
Goan fish curry pairs best with steamed rice. Creamy flavourful and treat to all your senses.
Friendly staff and service just make your visit to the restaurant a pleasant experience.
They do serve North Indian dishes too. Paneer satay was spicy and soft. Veg Handi had the right amount of spice and crunch on the vegetables.
PS: they have free parking , so head there and enjoy 😃

A nice place to have good Indian food. The focus is mainly on South Indian cuisine but they still cater to the North Indian tastebuds and also a bit of Chinese dishes in the menu. Excellent interiors and good staff. As it’s new, they are still getting used to the rush and hence the service is a bit slow. They introduced Fuljar soda which was amazing. Highly recommended.

If you're ever at Wasl District in Dubai and craving some homely Kerala food, then just head to the newly opened Skillet Restaurant. This is a cute new restaurant that specialises in Malabar cuisine, but caters to anyone on a lookout for Indian food.
Skillet is a great budget friendly restaurant and unlike other Kerala restaurants it's not over the top spicy food. I love the fact that they source all their ingredients locally and everything is fresh.

If you want to feel at home then Skillet is the place to go. The food is exceptionally delicious and the staff was like family especially Ranjith. He was very helpful and courteous. He kept us well informed about all the dishes since we were not familiar with the menu. The rest of the staff was also warm and Welcoming. A great experience, great food and great people I would highly recommend this restaurant is you are in Dubai anytime.

The management and staff is quite professional and goes with the ambiance, the food on top of everything is delicious. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarian stuff.
