I had Nepali thali while i was in Abu Dhabi and developed taste for it immediately. While looking around in Dubai for some good authentic Nepali food, came across this restaurant. Don't be taken back by it's look. The staff is extremely polite and good. We ordered mutton thali and it was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were rightly spiced. Dal was very homely and mutton curry was a delight. Definitely recommended.

First of all, I've been to Nepal plenty of times and I am in love of its culture an traditions, hence the reason this review might be slightly subjective.
So I was very keen to visit some restaurant with Nepalese food here in UAE. And that was the first one I've ever tried in Dubai and I must admit I couldn't choose better.
I have ordered Chicken Momo and they were marvelous. Exactly as expected. Nothing more, nothing less. Decent dumplings served with a great sauce.
What I would like to highlight, it's not always about the food, what brings me to such places, but also people who work there. Staff in this restaurant is very friendly, approachable, kind and polite. There is no other opening like 'Namaste', which makes you feel like in Nepal in a matter of seconds. Instead of finishing my meal and heading back to crappy, fancy side of Dubai, I stayed and enjoyed the long chat with the staff for another hour. Nepalese music inside the restaurant was another added value, which can make you feel like in the middle of Thamel. I live 40 kilometers from this little gem in Bur Dubai, but in my opinion it is definitely worth it.
If you are looking for something fancy, you are in a wrong place. If you seek the authenticity, that's exactly where you want to end up.
If u want to try momo with soup this is the best place ever. I love their soups. Even momo is the best. Staffs are really good. Loved this place.
Went wit my friends to hav momo. This is the bedt place to have thakali. I must say abt the food.... The food is vry authentic. So, grt food wit good service.

I have rekindled my old flame "Nepal". Many a days I have trekked and toiled on its treacherous mountains. Among the dishes of Nepal I miss was an instant noodles called wai wai and Thukpa and of course momos too. Thukpa is the quintessential Nepali soupy noodles which is a wet, healthy answer to the chow mein .
Try the Chicken Thukpa out here or the Buff one. The rates out here are dirt cheap and so you won't burn ahold in your pocket too!
By the way Buff stands for buffalo.!!
Best cheapest Nepali food ever i have eaten in dubai so far, lovely Nepali thali and momos, amazing and delicious, its a small restaurant but good food
I just visited them yesterday evening to order their Spicy Chicken Momos. They are located behind the Ambassador Hotel in Bur Dubai which is an area quite popular with Nepalese. The restaurant is very small with very few tables inside. They have seating upstairs (but didn't go there) and outside the restaurant. The waiters were very busy moving to and fro between the tables and the kitchen. The Momos were ready in about ten minutes. Ten momos are served in a plate. They are served in a Chilly Fry style, with onions and green chillies, and it tastes amazing. I really enjoyed them. I will definitely visit again to try their other Momo varieties. All Momo lovers, please do so too.
When Apuroop Kypuram told me to this restaurant is was actually upset that I ddnt know I had a legit nepali restaurant right here in Dubai and I never knew about it. Thankyou so much.
Coming to the food we ordered chicken momos, chicken chowmein, chicken Chilli, sandeko sukhti, chicken thali set. I was so excited, as soon as I entered the place it was a little restaurant with fresh food coming out of the kitchen. The food was fantastic. The momos were legit. The thali set was just like how I would get at home. The chowmein and the chilli was a bit dry. The sandeko sukhti was so good I couldn't stop eating. I was a happy camper. So happy!! So content
On my off day i went to this nepali restaurant in Bur Dubai which was recommended by one of my Nepali Friend. i love the food it just amazing special you should try the momo and their sauces. i will surely go back there.

I rated Nepaliko Sagarmatha 5 out of 5 only because of momos that i have just recently tasted from them. Nepalese cuisine, I believe, is known for their momos, their version of dumplings, among all other dishes, I suppose. This little place is at the back of Ambassador Hotel, a small unassuming corner for Nepalese food. I have not, honestly, explored much of this country's food, but it looks promising and I promise to be back. We ate their famous momos twice, once by home deliver and another thru take away. But while waiting for our take away, we saw people ordering some sort of tea with their meals. So we ordered while waiting. It was lemon tea, the usual lemon tea, but the mix was just right, and we almost ate our take away momos right there and then. It would have been a great combination, the richness of the momos and the lightness of the lemon tea. We went home and ate the momos right away so I was not able to take photos. But I have a pic of the tea! :-) We will go back and eat a lot soon!
