Some great tasting Arabic food in an up-market festive environment is how would describe my Mazaj experience at Century Village. Century Village offers a beautiful setting (of course this statement is only valid for the cooler months) and a choice of possibly every cuisine one can ask for.
Mazaj is your option for Arabic food within the space. They have a great location within the area, with a beautiful large outdoor space. They serve an extensive menu with the usual Arabic vegetarian variety and serve alcohol as well, which is the big plus of Century Village. The food has always tasted pretty good, with a couple exceptions at times.
The one downside of the place is service as it's not always as nice and consistent. They get a bit stressed when busy and lose the ball. Yet, due to the great ambience and food, the place is generally packed.
Definitely worth a visit, if you haven’t tried it.
Was quite skeptical to visit this place coz of the poor reviews on zomato. But to my surprise the place was pretty crowded last evening with people enjoying the lovely weather and sheesha.We chose to sit outside too and ordered chicken shish taouk, chicken kebab and vodka. The portion is quite good and the garlic paste was tasty too. The only thing which I didn't like were the pickles they served .. It was not the typical one which they generally serve with lebanese food and tasted v diff as well.The service was ok. All in all a good experience.
A quick stop at Century village before dropping a friend off at the airport led us to Mazaj. After the DMC outlet shut down earlier this year, I was delighted to eat there and also the fact that the restaurant was licensed. We recognised the server from the DMC branch and immediately struck a rapport with him. We ordered hummus and tabbouleh to start with and be were delicious and fresh. For mains we ordered the mixed grill and spicy grilled hammour. And well anther portion of hummus (that's how delicious it was). We wiped the plates clean and washed the meal down with Almaza beer. Lebanese food can be a hit and miss in this city but I'm a big fan of Mazaj.
Just the right amount of the Lebanese culture one could want when they miss home while living in the UAE. They serve Almaza, which made my experience that much more enjoyable. Almaza among friends is just the beginning of a fantastic evening. Not to mention the mezza, the shish taouk, and kafta, was at Lebanese standards. Loved the little ducks roaming around the villages too.
I will always return to this restaurant for their service! Every timeI am there with my friends or colleagues, the manager makes it a point to ask how we were and was everything ok. Shisha is the best ever and on my visit last week enjoyed ice shisha too.

Nice and decent place.
If you are a sheesha lover, then i would strongly recommend. Double Apple Mint is my favorite.
Staffs were friendly, which needs improvement for sure.
Overall experience was good.
The best shish tauwk and kebab I've had.. Juicy and flavourful. Even the zatar bread, salads, humous etc were pretty good. Since it was a weekday we got great service, and free desserts. Barring the absence of music on a weekday it was a wonderful experience.
