Canadian Pizza has been open for a few years but I've never actually dined in. I ordered a takeaway pizza about a year ago and I remember that it was decent enough.

This restaurant is located opposite to the RAK Exhibition Centre. It's a small place with ample parking spots and also a decent seating area outside the restaurant. I popped in for a quick lunch on a weekday and the restaurant was empty but soon enough a couple of other diners walked in and ordered some takeaway. I ordered a beef burger combo to dine in.

The speciality here is that, if you want it, they will serve you your burger in a burger bun that they make themselves. Of course, you can also have it in the normal bun. I like my bread fresh so went for the 1st option.

The meal was served to me on a black ceramic tile like you would see on masterchef and I wasn't expecting that. Very good presentation. The portions aren't huge but definitely adequate and it looked good. The burger bun wasn't soft like the usual buns and had a nice crust on it. The burger looked good and it wasn't greasy. The veggies were fresh and thickly cut. The sauce is called "Camy's special sauce" and there was a lot of it... I found it a little sweet but then I have always preferred a bit of mustard and ketchup with my burgers.. There was even more sauce served on the side for me to dip my fries.

The burger was good and flavorful and the fries were fine. Everything was freshly prepared and it showed in the taste.

Overall it was a good meal and also good value for money as I paid only 17 dirhams for a combo meal with a small bottle of water. Service was a little slow but since you can see them making your food through the open plan kitchen, I didn't mind too much.

Since the restaurant is called Canadian Pizza, I probably should try their pizza fresh and hot from the oven before I adjust my ratings. Maybe next time, I am at the RAK expo, I will stop by here with the wife for a meal

Updated : Went back for dinner and ordered the medium meat lovers pizza, the chicken wings with spicy sauce and the grilled chicken burger.

This pizza was good and had a good base with decent pepperoni and other meat items. The chicken wings were really good. Very nice and tangy spicy sauce that's not too hot. The burger was also good. As always the freshly home made buns were particularly good.
