A not so very good ambience but good Pure Veg Gujarati restaurant in Karama.
Their Thali is very nice traditional Gujarati varieties including pickles and fried Chillies. Their Phulkas are served very fresh and hot. Very fast service.
probably the best thali here, though there are many expensive outlets serving thali, the food here was homely and the service is very courteous, though the outlet is small and doesn't have much in terms of ambiance, but the food and the service make up for it and at just 20aed its well worth the money you put in.

Aloo capsicum my favourite
I've been here before for their thali which is decent for 20dhs. Bit over priced for their simple home style food. But service is good. Had Pani Puri recently and it was good. Barely 8 Dhs, worth the price
With the advent of restaurants glorifying the thali experience, Himalaya is a life saver, really. Simple, no hassle, easy on the stomach, fresh unlimited gujarati thali at economical cost. The staff is amazing, serving hot rotis, quick and whole heartedly. I specially wait for Sundays, when they serve the Capsicum sabji which is like heaven on earth. Even the evergreen aalu tomato sabji tastes so nice. No frills, this restaurant is serving thali for the past 30 yrs. A gem in midst of the karama food jungle!
For pocket friendly unlimited Gujarati food .. this is the place to try, ambiance is not impressive at all but food was delicious, the fulka roti was same as we get at home.

My Ratings will be 3.5.Been here a dozen number of times.A small restaurant that serves Gujarati Food.Their thali is good and serves unlimited food.The Phulkas are served fresh until 3 PM along with the thali.The sabzis are above average.Thali has one common sabzi per day, along with dal and other changes every day.Good for the price and friendly staff.

Thali ate just now. This is Gujarati style taste and Thali system. It was very tasty and ate so much that stomach was overloaded. Simply couldn't move fast after a meal. Along with Thali also ate sweet jaggery, fried green chillies, onion, red chillies chutney and was very difficult to stop eating. Also had tasty buttermilk and somehow managed to stop. Missed Farsan item today. It was not served why don't know? Usually Gujarati Thali is not complete without Farsan item like Pakoda, Samosa, Dahi vada, Dhokala etc. This Himalaya Restaurant is very old and situated in Karama very near to Lulu hypermarket. When we entered there were hardly 2-3 persons but in an half hour got full.

This is a very old restaurant that was set--up ages before, the concept the management uses is the same after so many years and they have made drastic changes to the food being catered to the people who know this place. Currently the Thali being served is Aed. 17/- which is unlimited but the food you'll eat is just like home made as they also cater to snacks and daily quick snack bites which is available for the evenings In addition to this they also will cater to sweet supply which they cover the basic range. Give it a try and I am sure you'll end up having a whole new experience in eating Gujrati food as everyday all these are freshly made and the taste can define your taste buds. It's a great restuarant that offers you variety of food and fast food as well.

A very nice restaurant for veggie lovers. Im a regular customer since 2010. Their highlight is the unlimited thali with nice desserts. They will stuff u untill you say no. Friendly staff and Tasty food made me himalaya the best in my food point in Dubai.
