One of the good reasons to go for an Iftar buffet in Ramadan is that you get to try out different dishes. hence we decided to visit Al Malouf for Iftar as I've had good feedback from people.
Located in Souk Al Bahar, this restaurant is popular for middle eastern food, to the extend that we couldn't find a reservation on the weekend.
The style and set up is quite simple yet elegant, It's safe to say that there is nothing special about the restaurant setup but it is convenient and comfortable.
As this was buffet, I can't judge the service much, except that the waiters wouldn't let the dishes get empty and happy to help.
Food wise, I must have tried almost everything they had! From ramadan juices to Kebabs and Arabic desserts. I really loved most of the things I tried, especially the proteins section as the Kebabs and Tekas were absolutely tasty, tender and grilled perfectly.
I also liked that they offer a different menu set every day, so it might be a good idea to contact them first and make sure they are serving what you like before visiting.

Been there for ifthar buffet :

Reservation desk-2/5 We were really disappointed with reservation desk. I felt without checking the list they were saying restaurant was fully occupied even without asking how many people etc when called to reserve the seat.

Drinks- 1/5 (labnah,kamarudin...Water wasn't part of buffet-pricey )
Salad-3.5/5 ( fattoush was best)
Appetizer- 4/5 (fried kebeb & cheese roll were best)
Main course- 4/5 ( mixed grill was 👍🏻 - flavorful and soft meat.Hummus, muthabel were good)
Dessert-4/5 ( cream caramel and huma Ali -light and authentic .it were 👍🏻)
Staff and place - 4/5 (friendly and helpful)

It would have been better if they had dish name banner against each dish.

Anyways, One of the best Arabic restaurant we have been to ☺️ ( Fresh, authentic and traditional taste)

Fast service. Good food. A little pricey.
We were actually looking for anoyher place but there was too much of waiting so decided to go here.
Ordered a sweet melon shisha. It was good; the coal didn't hurt much either.
For starters, we had the spocy potato and the cheese roll. The rolls were good, and the potato was amazing!
They also give olives and almonds on the side along with some zaatar.
The zaatar and olive oil tastes great with the bread.
For main course we ordered the okra and hummus. Both were pretty good.
I also ordered a mocktail (jamaican) which was too good.
The restaurant is along the water, but on the other side of the overbridge so you can't see the fountain unfortunately.
Seems a tad bit pricey.
Overall a good place.

Al Malouf restaurant is at the backside of Dubai Mall in Souk Al Bahar. Park your car in Dubai Mall & walk in through bridge linking Dubai Mall to Souk Al Bahar. The restaurant offers 3 seating ares. The first just right to the main entrance look bit better than other two section good for big family. Then the main hall including center stage seating good for small family & others as well whereas the best is the outdoor seating area overlooking the lake & Burj Khalifa best for Shisha. The interior is decent with very comfortable seating.

Was Friday during lunch very few people so the service was very good. Once you place order you will be served fresh carrot cuts, Olive & soaked almonds in bowls stacked on stand (refer the photos).

For appetizer we order Hummus (Dh 25) & Rakakat Jebneh (Dh 27) which is cheese roll. Average in taste but the best was the small arabic bread simply mind blowing. Small, soft nicely baked & taste awesome. Rarely few restaurant only in Dubai serves this. The bread comes free & ask for as many as you need.

For main course being a great grilled food lover we ordered mix grilled (Dh 75) & shish Tawook (Dh 48). The mix grill has 1 skew of meat tikka, 1 skew of meat kabab, 1 skew of chicken tikka & meat Arayes with fries, salad & complimentary garlic paste sauce. The chicken as well as meat used were soft, juicy & cooked to perfection. Don't know how do they make meat this soft as it almost melt in mouth. The Shish Tawook was also soft, juicy but only 2 skews with fries & salad. The way food cooked & presented they deserve full 5 out of 5 but it fails to generate that awesome taste together with the portion which I believe was too small for the price paid. I am sure they are missing some ingredients to make it taste awesome & sure they will work out on this.

For desert we elected cream caramel (Dh 26) & Um Ali (Dh 35). Both taste good with lesser sugar used than the normally find elsewhere & I always appreciate this attempt adopted by any restaurants.

I would say above average overall but the portion & taste just do not justify the price. The price definitely require a correction in order to attract more & more people instead of targeting only a class of people who are limited & afford any price whereas other class represent majority & is clever think twice before choosing restaurants for its worthiness against money.

Now, may not be the right time to enjoy the outdoor dinning at least during lunch time but still worth visiting during dinner time.

One of the best places to try authentic Tunisian Food in the UAE. Try the couscous, Tunisian Salad and Brika. Yummy :) Ask them to serve some Tunisian sweets with Tea and Sheesha. Bon app

The 4.0 review is for their sheesha and ambiance ONLY! The service is really really bad! I didn't want to try the food after. The hommus is good but not worth the quantity for the price.

Excellent Middle Eastern cuisine at a price :) I would recommend it anytime if you are a fan of Kebabs, Arabic bread and hommous. Thumbs Up!
